Seacow No, I do usually watch The Last Leg but didn't yesterday. Out of routine as I'm at my parents' (although I think my siblings usually watch it too but they must have just forgot like me last night).

Cag Great news Smile.

I'm not a gardener at all. My dad is proper into it, he only has a small garden but loves it and he's growing so many plants he doesn't have space so loads of them are in pots all together on the small paved area. He works away a lot though so my mam gets a right nark when he's getting her to water them during the summer months etc cos she cba and is like me. I think the flowers all look beautiful but I just cba and don't get pleasure out of gardening like he does. Not green-fingered.

NSD again Grin. Went to local retail park and bought some odd bits and bobs but my parents paid for it all. And had a Creme Egg McFlurry which was yum.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2017 19:04

Oo cag that's great.
Welcome back spice
Nice borders.
Lonely, it's like the world is ending for 1 day isn't it.

We did brimham which was packed but got parked in a layby and walked along. Then went to fountains £4.80 ice cream and £4 egg hunt.

scattyspice · 15/04/2017 19:12

Wow Cag a baby Shock. Seem to be lots of babies since I was last on and lots of twins Smile
I have had a chat with the kids and planned what we will do /spend next week. I've been to cashpoint and (hopefully ) taken enough cash out to see us through to Saturday. We'll see Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2017 19:17

We have lollies and such like in the freezer spice. We cracked the Easter eggs today for our pic nic

needastrongone · 15/04/2017 19:17

Wonderful news Cag, so pleased and such a relief for you. xx

Lovely borders Girlie, I bet you are so happy and settled in your new home. Hope DD is better soon.

Good call re the food Fluffy. DH often does this for his evening meal too when away, just goes to M&S and buys some naice stuff, but still much cheaper than hotel price.

Lonely Our big wooden compost bins are within the chicken area , they absolutely love turning it all over, it's brilliant.

Welcome Scatty

Love the nails Seacow, really pretty. I do think it makes you feel better when you are slightly 'groomed' but I am a vain twat. Grin

Creme Isn't it funny what we remember from our childhood Smile

Okay spends.

  • Joined NT again, used TCB and registered under a different email so qualified for new membership offers.
  • £10 for pony feed. Cheapest place around.
  • £30 Boots but bought 4 x S&G handcream they were selling off for £2 each, will last ages. And used double points vouchers.
  • £40 M&S, used DH's cash so no spends from me, utilised the wine offer to stock up.
  • £34 in a posh interiors place on a vase for me and a posh cup for my friend for her birthday. Finishing off the house.
Loveabaconsandwich · 15/04/2017 19:31

Glad everyone is having a lovely weekend and managed a NSD

Tonight I'm going to tackle the ironing and perhaps have a Smirnoff Ice whilst doing it. Rock and roll here. DP wants to watch Game of Thrones (we're only on season 3). I went right off GoT once they got rid of Sean Bean at the end of season 1. Gah, just googled and realised Sean Bean is almost twice my age! Blush

Cagliostro · 15/04/2017 19:36

Thanks all. Am very relieved (although very aware that I'm not out of the first trimester yet) :) was really lovely for my mum too as she got to come in with me. I think she was more emotional than me when we saw Cagletini's little heartbeat! Oh and frugal win, the sonographer printed some pics and told me not to pay (should've been £6 for the two)

Em can I just say I sympathise on the whole, erm, digestive issues :o Blush fecking hormones.

Noticed lots of people have been talking sun cream and SPF, just wanted to add, remember to look at star rating on the bottles as well and not just SPF. I can never remember why it's so important, but DH was trained in all that stuff with a previous company. Anyway, look for 4/5 stars as well as a high factor.

Awesome border Girlie!

Easter Sunday pretty much a normal day here. DH working as Co-op is opening! And they don't even do enhanced pay until 6pm so lots of people working the day shift will get nothing extra at all. Will set up an egg hunt tonight (DD is helping with some clues this year) but after DH goes to work we will probably spend the afternoon watching Horrible Histories DVDs (I used some of my PayPal stash to buy a few on eBay). They're obsessed.

ememem84 · 15/04/2017 19:46

Thanks cag it's 💩 😀

Bloody hormones but still short term. Hopefully.

needastrongone · 15/04/2017 19:46

That reminds me, I phoned Sky to cancel Movies and other extras and they have given me them for free for 18 months, and reduced the monthly charge by £20. Grin

SnugglySnerd · 15/04/2017 19:51

Bacon I have lusted after Sean Bean for years, he's a lot older than me too.

Em, eat some pears too.

Just bought some milk today. Tomorrow and Monday should be NSDs all being well.

DD wanted to leave a drink and snack for the Easter Bunny like she did for Santa. Bless!

Cagliostro · 15/04/2017 19:51

Yeah won't be forever :) and if you up the fibre etc it should be fine. Also keeping active will help which I expect you are doing far better at than I am, I've been terrible lately just wanting to curl up in a ball Blush. Must get out more! Glad the weather is improving here. I have to get some iron supplements too (not anaemic but have slightly low blood volume - this is probably due to my P.O.T.S. - so am at risk of it) and if I remember previous pregnancies correctly iron can have the same effect Hmm. Le Sigh.

Had lovely tapas today. New independent place in town, will definitely go again sometime.

WreckTangled · 15/04/2017 19:52

Cag that's brilliant so exciting!

Agree re sun screen. Boots is the best for five star. Out here they have factor 85!

Cagliostro · 15/04/2017 19:52

Nice one Need!

Sean Bean will always be the evil guy from National Treasure to me.

MrsMozart · 15/04/2017 20:00

Um... Not so good today...

£25 on cards and cake.
£99 on a coat that was an impulse buy (was half price).

Ho hum. Will stay in tomorrow and sit on my hands!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/04/2017 20:01

Or Clarissa

Coppersulphate · 15/04/2017 20:29

Just catching up.
Wreck you are so brave, bet it was awesome.
Welcome newbies and returners.
Snugly 5 weeks. It's flown by.....may not seem like that to you. I think you are a star coping with 3 little ones. I am on my knees and only have an 8 yo staying with me for a week.
Girlie that border looks great. I would post pictures of mine but I am ashamed of all the weeds. There are no flowers...just weeds. To be fair I have been busy and been concentrating on the veg plot. Put runner beans, broad beans, courgettes in today.
Need, it's amazing what these firms will do when they think you are leaving or cutting down, isn't it.
Sunny.....what a brilliant idea to photograph the toys and write reviews. Well done you.
LSD....just tea with friends.

Coppersulphate · 15/04/2017 20:30

And lots of congratulations to Cag.
And Em for the offers on the apartment. Syrup of figs def works.

SunnyLikeThursday · 15/04/2017 20:49

Thanks Copper, it's been really fun.

Cag and Em pregnancy did that to me too, but I figured out in the end it was wheat that did it. If I mixed in plenty of potatoes and rice it seemed to be better. Hope it gets better soon for you.

Girlie Your border looks fantastic. Which way does it face? I see it is in shadow in that picture and I'm wondering what time of day that would have been. It may be that you have the option of sun-gardening on one side and shade-gardening on the other side which opens up huge possibilities.

ememem84 · 15/04/2017 21:00

Fibragel a green tea some brown rice and a curry has helped somewhat.

Not completely but it's a start. Apologies I know it's tmi. I'll keep it to myself from now on. 😉

Just finished watching the book thief. I'd forgotten how nice that story was. Sad. But nice.

Catface also just had to be rescued. She got herself stuck on the washing basket. It's a wicker one and she was scratching it. Idiot.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2017 21:42

No worries em. It's the glamorous bits of pregnancy no one tells you about.

Oo need we might bump into each other.

Mrs M can you take the coat back? Do you need it/will you get a good price per wear out of it?

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2017 21:43

Forgot the reason i was posting
£1.45 milk. Charva that i am i went to the shop in my PJs. No one batted an eyelid even though it was this town where the school kicked up a fuss...

SnugglySnerd · 15/04/2017 21:49

Thanks, Copper. I think we're doing ok, ds cries more than DD2 so I worry he gets more attention. We're thinking about how to get into more of a routine. I was very anti-routine with dd1 preferring to get out and about as much as possible but I think with 2 of them they need to be fairly synchronized or we'll go mad!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/04/2017 21:57

Snuggly you are doing great.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/04/2017 21:59

The babies don't know who gets more attention, they don't even know how many arms and legs they have.

MrsMozart · 15/04/2017 22:04

lifelongfrugaleer shop won't take it back. I will wear it for many years to come for dog walking and being with the horses as it's that rare thing of warm and waterproof.

Wanted to stay and natter but eyes are closing. Back tomorrow!
