Hope you're feeling better bacon

Loveabaconsandwich · 01/04/2017 19:34

Ha ha cag, I'm scruffy too. I fall out of bed in the morning and it's a good day if I brush my hair Blush

I also like bacon sandwiches, subway and McDonald's so you should imagine the state of me!

Cagliostro · 01/04/2017 19:35

:o

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2017 19:45

Hope you both feel better soon, Cag and Bacon.

Mammy, hope you have a great night out.Wine

You're definitely getting your money's worth already, Life, fair play to you. Our wider area has so many E.H. and N.T. places to see. We really are very lucky.

Spends : £59.59. Bus: £7.80; lunch in Costa £8.70; £1.99 on 2 candle lighters in B&M; £11.55 on 2 light bulbs replacements and a paint tester pot in Wilkos; £14 on a new bag in Peacocks; £15.55 on 4 new cushions, new socks for DS, a 5 pack of toothbrushes and Vaseline in Primark.

Best of luck with the run tomorrow, Need.Star We'll all be cheering you on, virtually.

needastrongone · 01/04/2017 19:46

I'm sticking up for the more glam amongst us, but not preciously so, like me, Em and Fluffy and probably others. Personally I don't give two fucks though what other folk do, you are all awesome. Grin

I got very swollen ankles with both of my DC, that disappeared soon after birth, no stretch marks. First time, religious moisturising. 2nd time, with a 1 y/old none, no difference! My arches did drop and I am flat footed now, thank you for explaining why Fluffy.

Meadow Personally, I don't think you should be left with that level of responsibility without support. Not that I am thinking it's deliberate at all, everyone is there giving their best, but you are being left to it without help xx.

needastrongone · 01/04/2017 19:46

Sold 2 more jumpers on FB. Good selling day today.

needastrongone · 01/04/2017 19:48

Thanks Creme. Can I ask about the Turkish mezze yesterday please? It sounded lovely.

Hope you are okay Bacon. Your name change is the one that's flummoxed me.

Cagliostro · 01/04/2017 19:50

Bacon's previous name was also to do with bread. Cooked bread though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/04/2017 19:54

Yip money's worth will be got. Planned 3 visits in 5 days at Easter in the lakes. Then Easter weekend for the egg hunt then fountains the last week of Easter. Made my money back right there.

Although i will be buying a 1/2 price nymr voucher next week which is £32. And maybe a newby hall voucher to for £33.

Cagliostro · 01/04/2017 19:54

Ooh yes of course your run tomorrow! Exciting stuff! Best of luck with it and hope the cold you had is out of your system now!

DH is nearly a third of the way through his. I have been asked to wet some towels and stick them in the freezer for his return.

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2017 20:05

Sorry, I forgot to reply about it, Need. They do a mixed cold mezze for £10.95. Houmous, cacic (like tzatziki), kisir (like tabbouleh), stuffed vine leaves, chunky roast veg in tomato sauce and a potato salad. Served with lots of delicious, warm Turkish bread. They also do a mixed hot mezze, with some meat and some veggie choices. They have lots to choose from, so you could create your own. I love (vegetarian) Turkish food. It's one of the very few things I miss about living in London, as it was my favourite food to eat out there.

The name of the restaurant is Akarsu and they have a Facebook page, with menus you can look at (I think!).

Loveabaconsandwich · 01/04/2017 20:07

Ah need since the NC, I've tried to whinge less about my commute to make myself less identifiable. I've found new things to moan about Wink

Think I'm about to go to bed. Hopefully a good sleep will cure my head. Only got to get through this week and then two weeks off

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2017 20:08

Great frugal planning in action, Life.Star

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2017 20:10

Oh, nearly forgot, I'm someone whose feet went up a size in pregnancy and stayed at the bigger size. I was a 6 and am now a 7.

WreckTangled · 01/04/2017 20:12

Creme that sounds awesome! I love stuffed vine leaves and everything else you've mentioned. Yum.

need I wouldn't call myself glam but I think I'm probs with you. Hair and make up always done etc otherwise I look ill Grin good luck for your run tomorrow you'll smash it 💪🏽

Who else checks t see if their washing is dry my putting it on their face/mouth?! I was just telling my sister I couldn't work out if it was still wet even though I put it on my face and she thought I was strange. I thought it was completely normal Grin

Cagliostro · 01/04/2017 20:17

Me, I do that!

LonelyOversharer · 01/04/2017 20:19

Pregnancy is bizarre! I carried all mine really well, I have an empty (small) flap of skin which is permanently broken below my belly button, but thats about it. Its not a bit of my body that ever gets seen! My hands and feet swell in heat anyway, but I was much more uncomfy with the 2 summer born's (and much bigger).

Ran the dogs 4.8 miles on the bike, just before dark. Got some cakes to make for tomorrow, and got another 6k steps to do before bed.

LonelyOversharer · 01/04/2017 20:26

I'm definitely not glam! Always clean and tidy, but no makeup and very middle of the road, jeans, tshirt and hoody. I do wear bright wedge shoes in the spring/summer (cos they make me 5'10"). But I might start leaving my hair down sometimes; as I felt different, and almost confident today, which was quite nice.

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 20:31

I like to think I'm a glam-puss. But in reality today I'm in scruffy hoody and jodhpurs. I haven't washed my hair for 4 days. Did put mascara on today though....

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2017 21:04

I haven't had a shower today.....

Tomorrow is shellac & spray tan though.

Their will be lots of innuendo from Dh "you want me to spray you eh?". It's not sexy in the least.

mammymammyIRL · 01/04/2017 21:25

Fluffy Shock** at your dad Angry
My dsis was one of only two women to do the entire cycle, very proud of her. She has raised nearly 1k for suicide charity also.

I'm slovenly, my self employed work involved dressing up & wearing make up a couple of evenings a week. Now I wear it about once a month if I'm heading out Smile

CremeEggThief · 01/04/2017 21:27

Grin @ Fluffy. I dunno what I am. I hardly wear any make up and I don't even own a hairdryer! I've never had a spray tan or put proper fake tan on, but I also go for salon nails and waxing. I dress casually; jeans, jeggings, day dresses with tights or leggings, but you would never see me in exercise gear, unless you met me on the way to or from Pilates. The most casual I ever go is oversized hoody and black leggings, around the house, or maybe popping to the shop or library, a few minutes walk away.

ememem84 · 01/04/2017 22:07

I ❤️ Casual days. They're my faves. Days where I should wash my hair but can't be bothered. Days where I'm 80% dry shampoo. Days where I have a "naked" face. Nice nice nice.

I dug out outfits for work next week. All things I haven't worn for ages. Figure I'd better wear them now incase they don't fit soon.

Bed now.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/04/2017 00:21

A very late post from me, we have been out to a party! Was nice to get scrubbed up and be sociable for a bit Grin

Need Fluffy and Em are def the ones I think of as being stylish, I have ambitions to be stylish but not the motivation, one day though I will hopefully Wink

Right bed for me Zzzzzz

SunnyLikeThursday · 02/04/2017 06:23

The one thing I've really noticed appearance-wise from having babies is that it's easy to get a slight stoop from breastfeeding. I do wonder if that's slightly genetic though as some people do and some don't
probably the tall ones do more.

Fluffy Your poor Mum. What a thought.
