Aand I am snuggled up in front of the fire still wearing gardening ćlothes. Been collecting łeaves and putting them in the leaf mould thingy.

Love all of your outfits. I'm not very stylish. I just don't have the knack.

Plumber came today. Downstairs cloakroom should be finished soon and he says the upstairs ones ( bathroom and en suit ) will be ready for Christmas. Don't bełieve them though.
Em, catface seems to be doing well.
Glad you seem to be getting sorted out Cath' and great news about DS and
the afternoons.
LSD just £1 for cup of tea.

northender · 10/11/2016 19:44

Stationery does seem to be big with girls at the moment need, dd is nearly 12 and loves Paperchase & seems to hoard notebooks. And yes, white goods all breaking down at the same time is rubbish. I've been looking at condenser tumble dryers & will take the plunge at the weekend I think. We have a great electrical appliances shop locally, it's a bit more expensive but the service is fab.

NSD again today so doing well this week. Had toad in the hole for tea which was le yum. Did a list of present ideas for dh to give to his mum for my birthday and Christmas. She spends quite a generous amount but our taste couldn't be further apart so a list is useful! I went for things I would really like but can't justify at the moment.

Tryingtosaveup · 10/11/2016 19:48

Well done Cag on the concert tickets.
Still not heard from Italian. Hope she's ok.

Cagliostro · 10/11/2016 19:54

Yes Smiggle is all the rage round here with tweens. In fact DD got a party bag recently full of Smiggle goodies and she was writing in the notebook within minutes on the journey home :o DD informed me our local one is closing soon though, hoping there'll be a clearance sale as they'd make fab stocking fillers.

And thank you for the well dones, I am totally chuffed about the tickets. It would cost about £50 for the four of us to go and with travel as well it'd just be impossible, so at least now we can just spend on the train fare (which thankfully doesn't involve peak time London travel like yesterday :o)

They've also given me a discount code to use on the blog post so other people can get cheaper tickets - the code has my initials in it and everything so I guess they'll see how many people use it Shock [proud]

£25 meeting friends who are on holiday but have a amazing day

Cagliostro · 10/11/2016 20:50

Aw thank you! It's not very good TBH Blush I've not written many posts yet, they've mostly just been a diary type thing for family to read. I would post it (being cheeky LOL) but don't want my MN name linked to it IYSWIM :( (I may get a separate MN blogger account if it takes off though :))

£39.50 nails. They are now all shiny french polished except for ring fingers which are sparkly glittery rose gold.

Did catfaces flea spot on stuff. Got her while she was eating. She made zero fuss.

Have played mousie hunting with her this evening. She's so happy. This is the first time she's done this in front of me. This being rolled over.

Butter chicken curry for dinner. Super le yum.

SnugglySnerd · 10/11/2016 21:00

Unexpected NSD, one of my friends is ill so we postponed our night out. Actually quite relieved to spend the evening watching tv and eating pizza in my pjs, I'm shattered!

isthatmorelego · 10/11/2016 21:08

I'm sure it's great I enjoy reading what you've been up to with the Caglets but totally understand wanted to keep it private .

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/11/2016 21:19

We have just had a Smiggle open up in our little town, am yet to take dd in there but know she will love it! I had a quick look round yesterday but thought most of it was so over priced, you could get very similar in The Works or Wilkos for a fraction of the price (frugaleer though and through Wink )

ememem84 · 10/11/2016 21:26

I love paper chase. We have one here. No Zara though. I also love Zara.

Tryingtosaveup · 10/11/2016 21:35

I'd love to read your blog too Cag, bet it's great.
Catface looks really settled now Em. Soon she'll think she owns the place and you are her servant.( bet it's happened already).

Needastrongone · 10/11/2016 22:13

Thanks all for the suggestions.

I had forgotten how much DD had loved the DW books, so I've ordered the new one. Then I got googling unicorns and stationery and ended up buying a Squiggle lunch box too. Total £20. So you all contributed. Smile

£5 Boxercise, not the NSD I imagined.

Snuggly you are entitled to veg on the sofa and I would like to read the blog too Cag.

Boxercise was so tough!!

AdoraBell · 10/11/2016 22:29

We have heat 😀

Vet £104
£6-ish in Sainsbo's.

WreckTangled · 11/11/2016 06:20

Ffs funky twatty sky didn't cancel my contract. Wakers. Ffs. I'm so pissed off.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2016 06:43

That's shit wreck. Also the hassle of having to shout at then too.
Defo smiggle but I see you alteafy bought. Girlie sign up to the website and you get a first shop 20% off. In store make sure you get a loyalty card which you can't use on line but you get a freebie for every £100 spent in store. (10 stamps, 1 per £10)
I think your blog would be great cag but totally respect privacy concerns.
Nsd yesterday and another planned today

8FencingWire · 11/11/2016 06:44

Spendy day yesterday, £40 in Lidl and £68 in Sainsbury's. But £20 was for lego advent calendar, £25 for cat food and litter for the month.
I finally managed to buy one pint of milk for the freezer for emergencies.
I need my prescription paid, then hopefully NSD most of next week.

First time in ages, but I found an advent candle, one that you burn a bit every day till the 24th. Look forward to that. Instead of a chocolate advent, I bought a box of chocolate santas, mini ones, to put in DD's lunch box in December. But I got the cat an advent calendar😂
Calm homely weekend planned :)

ememem84 · 11/11/2016 06:59

Nsd planned today. So happy it's Friday!! Have to deal with loads of HR type stuff today with my team. Two of them have issues that need to be dealt with and I don't think they're going to like it. I don't think one if them is fair so am trying to argue this down. But have to sit them down and have a chat. And talk them through the procedure. Eugh hate this part of my job

Catface has taken over the place already. We're contemplating signing over the mortgage to her. It's so obviously her flat. We just rent from her.

It's just a matter of time until she sleeps on our bed with us. Last night she was in our room for a bit (we tried shutting the door but she paws at it and meows. She doesn't want to come too close but it's like she needs to know where we are) then scampered off this morning to sit by her bowl and wait for breakfast.

Tryingtosaveup · 11/11/2016 11:02

Em, she thinks you have a cheek trying to shut the door to one of the rooms in her flat. What are you thinking? And why is she having to wait while her shave gets her breakfast. Definitely success!

ememem84 · 11/11/2016 12:59

Spends today £3.95 toasted Periperi chicken and cheese wrap and a packet of crisps for lunch.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/11/2016 14:10

Adora Well done, I bet the gas bill will fall now too.

Em She will take over the bed & you'll both be clinging to the edges while she does starfish.

27p loo cleaner. Redeemed 200 clubcard points.
29p bleach. Redeemed another 200 point voucher.

Forgot the satnav 🙄 So I couldn't find the homebase branch I needed, the window film can wait till Monday morning & I can put it up next Friday.

mammymammyIRL · 11/11/2016 14:26

ah wreck that's so annoying, did they say why?
I had that happen with putting my contact lenses on pause for 3 months, they still took next payment, someone forgot to do it!

I'd an embarrassing moment last night wreck partly as a result of one of your postsGrinShock
Went to checkout at aldi with €161 worth of shopping and my card was declined despite having a balance of €1300, it was joint account which still has tax return in itShock the other day you posted about a free sky dvd and I tried to get it but they don't post to non uk addresses, they put through 11c transaction on my account and my bank thought it was fraud and rang me and I didn't think of it and said no I've bought nothing from sky recentlyHmmShock anyhow I thought no more of it, but my bank froze my card without telling me. I had only one bank card on my person so had to run out to car for my personal acc debit card to pay for shopping, rang bank afterwards and they took freeze off. I'm going to make a complaint and see if I get anything from them for the embarrassment Blush

Covered class & got my earnings from previous time I did it as well so almost €60 for the two nights.
Spends afterwards: €161 aldi. Very happy with that as we got through a full week with only €37.19 spent on groceries. our average weekly spend is €131(taken from ynab - saving us over €90![happy]
€14.69 on stuff for a Team Hope box
€12.26 on a hot wheels racing track for ds from Santa, this was half price in Tesco so complete bargain (he's been asking for a rollercoaster so we think this is what he's talking about!)
€48 Diesel

Spends today
€4 team hope contribution
€2 Ladybirds (dd)
€140 au pair

em hope your hr stuff went well today. catface sounds like she's really making progress.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/11/2016 14:28

Oh and we tried morrisons smart price gravy granules, 20p, I was expecting them to be too salty and very thin but actually nice. Free from cows milk & monosodium glutamate too.

20p is way cheaper than the £2 I usually spend on bisto gravy powder. Definitely buying them again.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/11/2016 14:36

Mammy that's awful! So embarrassing. Let's hope you get some lovely compo.

mammymammyIRL · 11/11/2016 14:51

I actually didn't get embarrassed because I knew the money was there, but who else knew that! not the girl at the till, bet she thought I brought in the wrong bank card because they both look the same Hmm
