Nsd
Carpet in the bathroom is easy to solve collie as crème says
First time back to the gym today. Gonna ache tomorrow

CremeEggThief · 28/10/2016 20:19

Good on ya, Life.💪

Wildernesstips · 28/10/2016 20:57

It looks better already Collie and I'm hoping when the rug arrives it will finish it off. Carpet in a bathroom is weird, but at least the floor space in a bathroom is usually quite small and easy to replace with something like vinyl.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/10/2016 21:28

Hi all, we made it to London - woo hoo!

Its been a lovely but loooong day Grin loved the Picasso exhibition and looking round Trafalgar square, we went for lunch at Bills and had a look round Covent garden.

Spends were
£10 on the oyster card
60p to use the loos at Paddington!
£30 lunch as paid for mums as well (she bought the Picasso tickets!)
£6 on tea and cake at Paddington
£2 to street entertainers.
£2.20 tea on the train.

Ah well was a good day and we haven't done a lot else this half term!

NeversellahouseCollie · 28/10/2016 21:36

girlie yay! So pleased you made it. How long is the train journey to Paddington? I miss London so much

Gone off the house completely since I saw damp in the photos so it looks like a carpeted bathroom floor won't be my problem afterall Grin unless we are desperate

Cagliostro · 28/10/2016 21:37

Aw that's fab Girlie I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :)

I seem to have frittered lots of cash on food today. Train strike messed up our journey home from a friend's (the journey down there was fine so I stupidly thought the way back would be fine too! More fool me) so we were grabbing snacks etc.

I keep sneezing and have a tickle in my throat that won't shift. Angry

Its about 2 hours from us to Paddington so not bad really and it is do'able in a day, its good to get out of our little sleepy town from time to time Wink Dd tired but much better, not coughing as much and coped with being out all day fine.

Carpets in the bathroom is grim, who does that?! Confused

Hope your not coming down with anything cag dds cold started with sneezing... it was because of you we went to the exhibition today so thank you Smile

SnugglySnerd · 28/10/2016 21:50

Pleased you had a good day, girlie.
Spendy day here, finally ordered our new fridge freezer! V tired, post properly tomorrow.

NeversellahouseCollie · 28/10/2016 21:58

girlie I know! I was thinking I don't even want to live with someone else's carpet full of waz for a day.

Tryingtosaveup · 28/10/2016 22:51

If there's carpet in the bathroom I suspect it's hiding something. It must be minging with being damp frequently.
NSD ...16th this month I think.
Glad you enjoyed the exhibition Girlie and that DD is better.

ememem84 · 28/10/2016 23:02

Just picked dh up from his works do. Absolutely steaming drunk. Hooray and he'd promised others a lift home too. Angry fuming is not the word.

I'm in the spare room tonight. Was planning on this anyway. He smells like a brewery and is that kind of wobbly might puke drunk. So I'm leaving him to it. If he lets the cat in the living room tonight and if she pees he's been told he will be cleaning it first thing in the morning. sorta hope she pees

mammymammyIRL · 29/10/2016 06:25

Here you all are, couldn't understand when I posted on thread yesterday at 6.30pm and no one else did!!

Spent €42 yesterday at a kids Halloween disco €23.50 on takeaway, €2 on chocolate for dc & €16.50 on 2 drinks for me & 3 ojs for dc. I'd love to saw we'd a great time but ds was needy & bit me, dd did enjoy herself once daddy went home Hmm

I'm getting up for work, don't usually work Saturdays Sad

mammymammyIRL · 29/10/2016 06:26

WreckTangled · 29/10/2016 07:25

Girlie pleased you had a good day Smile

Haha mammy so true!

Oh no em

I went out last night to a friends. We all wore pyjamas and ate pizza. I didn't drink but didn't get home until 1 Shock today I'm driving to Kent for my nieces birthday party. Need coffee. Halloween Smile

SnugglySnerd · 29/10/2016 08:04

That sounds like a lovely evening, Wreck.
Hope you're DH wasn't sick anywhere, Em.
I've just told off DH for missing the toilet, very pleased we have tiles in the bathroom and not carpet!
Have a bit of a dilemma. New freezer comes tomorrow. We need to defrost the old one for them to take away but it still has quite a bit of food in it. I'm going to cook some of it to freeze in portions in the new one and some of it we can eat today (like ice cream, what a pain!!) but there are things like fish fingers and frozen peas that I don't want to waste. Do you think if I shove them all in our plug -in camping fridge with some ice blocks that they might stay frozen over night?

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/10/2016 08:04

Ooo em not impressed.
Pleased you had a good day cag.

Nsd yesterday. Today we are off to Whitby for illuminated abbey. Via Smyth's toys as they have a spend threshold offer on the website and in store.
Dh work have changed from suits to casual so he needs work stuff. Trip to matalan on the cards and I may fall into the Christmas section.

Body attack class today too but part of gym membership

ememem84 · 29/10/2016 08:13

I don't think he was sick anywhere. I've been curled up in the spare room since 11 last night. So cosy in here. Smile

Catface came in last night. I could hear her pouncing about after her ball.

WreckTangled · 29/10/2016 08:15

Snuggly can you shove them in a neighbours freezer?

ItalianWiking84 · 29/10/2016 09:02

Sounds like a fun evening wreck.
Snuggly was thinking the same as wreck, ask a neighbor to store it till tomorrow, that's what we do here.
Em I would be serious pissed at dh if he promised others lifts without checking with me, that's not on.
My card has been blocked due to the national bank think that up to 100000 cards has been hacked so they are blocking cards to be on the safe side. And because we are in the process of switching banks, I might as well just wait for the new banks bank card, so dh have withdrawn money for me, but I think of it as a way of spending less Grin

ememem84 · 29/10/2016 09:09

snuggly I think they'd be ok. Just make sure camping fridge is set to its highest possible setting.

Just changed the towel that catface sleeps on. You'd have thought I'd decided to trap her and ever let her out. The noise! Apparently she's attached to stinky beach towel. I fesbher waited till she was eating then pulled the chair out whipped old towel away and replaced with a fresh new one (the previous one she was sitting on so it has her smell albeit it's clean now) and some fleecey blanket. So what she's actually got now is much comfier. But she's meowing away.

I'm getting into the habit it seems of scaring her just when she's trying to be brave. She was trying to be brave last night apparently and come into the living room. I got up for a wee and we met in the hallway. She scarpered. Twice I did that. And just now after making tea toast and fruit salad and taking it back to my warm nest bed I didn't realise she was under said bed. So when I hopped back in she ran away. Sigh

ememem84 · 29/10/2016 09:14

italian i wouldn't mind if he'd asked first. It's that expectation that "Em will do it" one of them was his boss who lives up the road from us so I just stopped at ours and he walked the rest of the way he was grateful for the lift and suggested this.

The other lived a fair bit out of the way. Not on the way home.

Catface is drinking water now I can hear her lapping it up. she'd better not pee everywhere as a protest

NeversellahouseCollie · 29/10/2016 09:26

LSD. Need nappies from Aldi. Doing deep cleans and packing. And a trip to the beach. I need distractions!

TutanKaDashian · 29/10/2016 09:45

Hi all. Just got my home insurance policy renewal through the post. I somehow missed the email re. auto renewal so it had gone up from £13pcm to £21pcm!! However, after less than 5 mins on the phone to the insurance company, I got the exact same premium for £10pcm Grin

AGenie · 29/10/2016 09:59

allthebest that ISA was great. Was the massive uptick because you bought Dollar or Euro denominated stock which then translates into a larger number of pounds because the value of the pound has fallen?

I've signed up for a stocks and shares ISA, and am just swithering about which things to invest in. I should get on with it really.
