She's out of a job & has a faithless Dh who might be at home with a bottle of wine just not his wife's home. I'd be emotional too in those circumstances.

They've been dodgy as fuck for years.

Boris will bide his time, he's not stupid.

SnugglySnerd · 09/11/2016 19:04

I am just amazed so many women voted for him after all his groping boasts. He's so sleazy. I'm half expecting something really dodgy from his past to catch up with him. Here's hoping anyway!

ememem84 · 09/11/2016 19:12

Dinner of champions here tonight. Fish fingers, sweet potato wedges, onion rings and obligatory salad.

Dh has gone for dinner with clients. He's having chateaubriand, salad squeaky beans chips Malbec.... I am not at all jealous.

WreckTangled · 09/11/2016 19:20

We had tacos for dinner. So good.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/11/2016 19:31

Men can be very crude, so can women.

The Clintons rap sheet is long. They're one chappaquiddick away from a tv mini series on Fox.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/11/2016 19:49

Nsd today. Too knackered to spend money.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/11/2016 19:57

The Democrats really messed up having Hillary Clinton in the race, anyone else would have walked it with the only competition being Trump!! Cath that comment me laugh, so true!

I rang and did my best to be assertive re house issues, they promised faithfully someone would call me back today and of course they haven't Hmm Angry will be ringing them and asking who I need to contact re an official complaint!

CremeEggThief · 09/11/2016 20:07

I agree, Girlie. If only Bernie Sanders had won the nomination... Oh well, maybe it won't be quite as bad as some of us fear (armageddon and WW111)...

ememem84 · 09/11/2016 20:25

Also nsd.

CollieMonster · 09/11/2016 20:31

girlie did you tell them you were cold and that the wiring was dodgy? They need to take it more seriously! Grrr on your behalf.

Spendy day here. £45 in a camping shop for an inflatable mattress, pump and toddler rucksack.

NSD tomorrow though.

Tryingtosaveup · 09/11/2016 20:45

£30 on Amazon for DP's birthday. Other than that NSD. too knackered after staying up to watch election. Seriously worried. Can't actually believe it happened. I think HC was a poor candidate but was lucky as she only had him up against her. Was sure she would win,
Frightened. He's unpredictable. Last thing you need in a president.

AdoraBell · 09/11/2016 21:00

4 or 5 NSDs, can't remember which.

Boiler and cylinder went in today but not wired in yet, hopefully we'll have heat/hot water by lunchtime. Dog hasn't been to the vet, DD1 at home 3 so far with mega cold/unidentified virus, so that will Tomoz. Oh, I forgot about Sainsbo's delivery yesterday Blush that was £134, lots of Christmas things.

Will catch up tomorrow. Feeling rough as. Also feeling Angry re election, but not surprised.

mammymammyIRL · 09/11/2016 21:07

Place marking too tired to post Sad
Have work to do but going to go to bed instead Smile

Wildernesstips · 09/11/2016 21:19

Aside from the disastrous US election results, I have had a good day. Two compliments 1) being asked for ID (I'm in my 40s ffs)! 2) being told my hair is like Elsas from Frozen (it isn't, but I'm happy to go with it).

Thanks for the apple chutney recipe - will search it up.

£17 top up shop

Girlie I did some assertiveness training some years ago. The best thing to do is frame it along the lines of "what specific time can you expect a call/who specifically from etc before escalating the matter upwards to lodge a complaint". Fingers crossed.

Cagliostro · 09/11/2016 21:59

I need assertiveness training! Never got round to it via work sadly.

Particularly need it today, I am not best pleased as it turns out one of our friends hasn't in fact been being friendly and welcoming as we thought, but was actually trying to recruit our children to be her pupils several times a week. Totally support her endeavour, she's doing training and stuff which is great, but the way she's gone about it with myself and a couple of other friends is really NOT nice. Very dishonest. Which is a shame as actually I would've quite liked to do maybe once a month or something otherwise. I obviously completely get the need to make money as well! But in my own business (still feels weird to say that! Awesome though! :o) I have never put pressure on people - loads of people have said they'd like piano lessons, same with sport for DH, and many don't in the end - but I do NOT chase, and message repeatedly. I'd rather wait for people to come to me and build it up slowly.

Anyway rant over sorry! On the plus side a friend picked up some old books/games for £20, need to pay in the cheque tomorrow as she didn't have cash, and DH and I earned £10 each doing a government Community Life survey, so the Amazon balance is now nearly £120 yay!

Also got an email from Quidco saying that a few retailers are doing 15% cashback tomorrow! Including the Entertainer, wonder if they'd include stuff from the Penny Sale as I've got my eye on a science set.

Spent my evening trying to teach catface to hunt and play with toy mousies and watching Gilmore girls. Have also tried to teach her that the living room isnt too scary. So far we've established that the top corner up the stairs in the hallway is the place to be. She sat there on her towel with mousie for an hour. Smile only another 6ft or so and she'll be in the living room. dh thinks I'm being cruel by not putting the heater in the spare room next to the hallway on - I'm not. I just want her to realise on her own that there are warmer places to sleep

In bed now. Cup of earl grey and am ready for sleeping.

Nsd. Nsd. Nsd.

Cagliostro · 09/11/2016 23:23

Aww I love reading catface updates! Is it wrong though that when I posted a pic of my DS on FB earlier I found myself wanting to call him boyface Blush :o that's your fault that is! :o

Today we realised that there is just no way we can do anything in London in the morning. Peak time travelcards for 2 adults 2 kids - £116 Shock :( as it happened, the trains were messed up anyway, so we couldn't have gone regardless. Going to cancel another event we were going to later this month. Shame. I knew they'd be more expensive as usually we go off peak/super off peak and use family railcard, but £116 was quite a shock!

Anyway, we were sad we couldn't go, so we nipped into town instead of heading straight home, had a hot chocolate, went home to watch a movie and then DH took the Caglets swimming with the HE discount card while I rested. So still a spendy day but not nearly as much as it could've been.

Didn't go to bed until 1am, alarm went off at 5.20am [stupidmammy]

ememem84 · 10/11/2016 06:41

Dh rolled in at 2am. And crashed literally and loudly into bed at 330. I have just woken him up.
He is not feeling his best. Haha!

cag Grin at boyface!!

Catface has moved all her toys back to her hallway nest overnight. I put them all up the stairs. and one by one she's batted pulled chased and carried them all down. Smile she's clever.

Nails today so £39.

ememem84 · 10/11/2016 07:35

Today's outfit. Panther dress. Dh hates this. It's my favourite thing. Roast potato bacon corn soup for lunch.

BOO! The Freaky Frugaleers prepare for Halloween and beyond. All welcome!
SnugglySnerd · 10/11/2016 07:42

Fab dress, Em and it sounds like your cat is doing well.
Not much planned today except dinner out with friends tonight. Need to do some jobs and cook stuff for the freezer.

mammymammyIRL · 10/11/2016 08:02

I love your dress too em you've got some fun clothes.

I'm a 12 chunky thighed bottom and a 10 with jelly belly on top. Next year, I'll have reduced both those by a size and eliminated the jelly belly, mark my words!

WreckTangled · 10/11/2016 08:07

I love it em. This is my outfit today (excuse the model pose in actually only holding onto the wall to stop me falling over Grin)
