Today NSD, went out for lunch with MIL and DH's cousin (who I went away with) and her son, plus my mum.MIL treated us for DH's birthday.

Tried to pay DD1's school lunch money and am very confused by the account. Late in September they called and said please would I pay, thought I already had, but duly paid. Checked my account and I had paid on 4/9 then again on about 25/9 when they called. But I am only £17 ish in credit. I haven't paid again, I have printed off my account and will go in and ask them to work out what they have done. My payment in February was very low, which could mean I transposed the figures, or I was catching up for how many meals DD1 missed during December for panto. Anyway, I need more information.

WreckTangled · 30/10/2016 19:13

Yes creme I hope so!

Thanks wilderness!

We're considering getting our dh's to dress up as superheroes as the dc will listen to them then!

Yes snuggly I've done that before but helium balloons are so expensive!

Oh yes girlie we're having someone doing tattoos too.

The dc got invited to a last minute birthday tea tonight so that was nice.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/10/2016 19:15

I have just lost my shot with dh Properly lost it. Absolutely raging.

In a nut shell he doesn't listen. I went to cosy up in bed. Yesterday I asked him twice to change the bedding and swap the duvet for the winter one. It stinks of stale booze sweat from his Friday night out.
He hasn't done it. I asked again today. He hasn't done it.

He doesn't care that the mess is making me anxious and having to pick up is making me more stressed and more exhausted. He doesn't get it. He'll say he knows I need to chill out and recognises when I'm stressed but doesn't actually do anything to help. Does he want to? I don't think he does any more.

Absolutely raging. But I need to learn to control my emotions.

Aaaaaahh

But nsd.

mammymammyIRL · 30/10/2016 21:02

Awww em [hugs] can only imagine your frustration after all your hard work all day

SnugglySnerd · 30/10/2016 21:40

Welcome, Garden. What sort of pet do you have? Fully sympathise about vet fees, I've spent a fortune on my moggie this year and now he needs his annual jabs.
Sorry to hear that, Em. Hope you are ok.
I am properly dreading going back to work tomorrow. Partly because half term has been lovely and partly because I have suddenly transformed from having a small bump to looking like Mr Greedy. I look at least 10 more weeks pregnant than I am. A friend last week commented that I'm almost as big now (19 wks) as I was at almost full term last time around.
Have made some lovely soup to take for my lunch though so that'll cheer me up!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 30/10/2016 21:42

Oh em tbh it sounds like he had it coming and i'm not surprised you lost it.

Maybe he will take on board how you feel now.

Tryingtosaveup · 30/10/2016 23:30

I know what you mean about DHs. I remember MIL saying "Mr Trying's hair needs cutting. How can you let him go out like that?" !

About to shove some more Vicks on me feet. After I've finished the chocolate. Don't want mentholated m&ms thank you very much.

DD is absolutely gutted we aren't doing trick or treat this year. But with the whole clown thing being massive in our town (and in particular our specific district in the town) we agreed a couple of weeks ago that we wouldn't and although it seems to have died down I wouldn't be at all surprised if people were messing about with it tomorrow. I'm going to go via HMV in the morning to get them a 'spooky' DVD to watch instead.

Em Have you considered namechanging and taking that to the relationship forum? It sounds like the sort of thing that you need to get sorted before having children. You need your relationship really sound before kids come into it.

WreckTangled · 31/10/2016 06:40

Em sometimes you need to lose your shit with them.

Wheelycote · 31/10/2016 06:56

Morning AllSmile

[Em] (((hugs))) hope he's got his finger out and helped out.

The cat photos are gorgeous

1.50 spend yesterday for some milk. Still working on my assignment grhhh the monthly budget and meal planning went out of the window. Assignment should be done fingers crossed this evening and then can crack on with the house finances.

Preparing my dinner for work...taking a flask with a lentil type thing....it's a Jamie Oliver meal. This flask actually keep things warmHalloween Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/10/2016 07:01

I agree em sometimes losing your shit is the only affective option. I would have gone and nested in the spare room and left him to his sink too. Hope things are better this morning.
Vets bills are a worry, I remember them well.
Garden there are lots of hints and tips here if you need them.
Don't think we will get to the skate park tonight as dc want to trick or treat. I have primed the neighbours and given them some sweets to give back. They are elderly but still love seeing the kids so it's pre arranged.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/10/2016 07:03

My organisation for this month is shocking, must try harder.
Stressful day at work today but nsd planned.
My dc were the TV at the illuminated abbey. Look north, north east. Much excitement in the frugaleer house last night.

AGenie · 31/10/2016 07:20

We're gearing up for trick or treat too. We're in a city with four primary schools within ten minutes walk of our house, so the streets are going to be alive with kids tonight. Ds is polishing his costume up.

Welcome Garden. Are you really a gardengeek? I think I am too, in RL.
