Nice boots wrecked, not at all raunchy, so I am a bit disappointed. Grin

mammymammyIRL · 27/10/2016 17:25

Sounds like you guys are having a lovely midterm.
Hope girlies dd is able for trip to London tomo

I finished work early to go to dds pt meeting & had to go back to village I work in for diesel so went for a lovely sneaky meal in my fav country pub for food. Had a fabulous Caesar salad with lemon marinated grilled chicken & a bread basket plus a refreshing west coast cooler. It was lovely to have the time out & catch up on mn Smile €19 on meal& €50 on diesel(last purchased 14 days ago!)

SnugglySnerd · 27/10/2016 17:40

Lovely photo, Wreck. We've had an autumn day out too at the arboretum. £18 for two adults though so not really frugal although we did take a picnic.
Called at favourite farm shop for a few treats inc some posh cheese. Also had a cuppa in the cafe. Spent about £30 in total but I haven't had alcohol since early July so reckon I was due a treat!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/10/2016 18:01

That looks lovely wreck I love boots! If money were no object boots would def be my weakness Grin these ones are a particular favourite! Agree with Need Genie don't limit yourself, i bet you're not as straight laced as you think you are Wink

Yes Wreck my dd is the same, keeps going in the day and then flops in the evening, she has crashed on the sofa now and is still coughing a bit. I know London is full on but it would be 2 hours on the train so we would get there say 11.30ish, look round the exhibition, have some dinner and then come home again so wouldn't be too bad? Will see how we go though obviously.

CremeEggThief · 27/10/2016 18:08

Lush boots, Wreck.

That sounds do-able, Girlie.

WreckTangled · 27/10/2016 18:11

Love them girlie! Amazon Black Friday often has Fly boots in it. I love boots too and would buy a billion pairs if I could. I go through them quite quickly because of the way I walk they wear out. I think she will be fine, you can go at your own pace and give her some calpol if she starts to flake. Also if you're on a packed train home most business men are kind enough to give their seats up ime.

Cagliostro · 27/10/2016 18:16

For heavens sake please can you all give me a kick and tell me to get my butt in the kitchen to do dinner instead of ordering yet another pizza?!

WreckTangled · 27/10/2016 18:22

Ah Cag chuck something in the oven. Take away pizza is so bloody expensive and never as good as you think it'll be.

Needastrongone · 27/10/2016 18:26

I might have ordered these the other day....just to see what they are like in RL... they are stunning

www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-shoes-boots/boots/az241/womens-odette-ankle-boot

Love those boots Girlie, stylish and practical.

Needastrongone · 27/10/2016 18:27

In the oxblood colour, since Boobs (change your bloody username!!) persuaded me that you can wear with black opaques...

Needastrongone · 27/10/2016 18:28

In non frugal news, just booked DS his first driving lesson at £40 (£20 per hour)....they don't get cheaper as they get older I promise.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/10/2016 18:42

Oh and in other frugal news dd managed to swallow half a paracetamol tablet this afternoon (recommended dose for a 10yo) which will mean saving lots on calpol if she can do it again!! A pack of paracetamol is about 25p compared to £3 or more for a small bottle of calpol.

Blimey need mind you I remember when I learnt to drive many many years ago and it cost a fortune then!

NeversellahouseCollie · 27/10/2016 19:02

I'm another bootaholic. Love them.

need that's how much I was quoted for lessons too :(

cag put something in the oven! Naughty cag! Enjoy the pizza though. We'll be getting one tomorrow night but I think Dominoes dehydrates me as they're so salty. doesn't stop me from buying them though

Apparently we're 90% there with the house sale. We have received contracts to sign. apparently that doesn't mean we are about to exchange contracts though. But still - it's progress! Grin

ItalianWiking84 · 27/10/2016 19:12

Been to the border shops today so expensive shop but got loads that will last long as well as Christmas stuff. Now laying on the couch with my legs up, they hurt and feel huuuuge....

mammymammyIRL · 27/10/2016 19:16

I buy my boots in January sales usually! Marco tozzi are my favourite so comfy but stylish too & in my price range on sale Smile

Well done on paracetamol girliedd that day out sounds doable.

Myself ds & dd have spent past hour cleaning backyard putting out bins & feeding dogs & cleaning out their yard. Now time for pjs for them & bed. Dd has Halloween party at school tomorrow.

Wildernesstips · 27/10/2016 19:26

You guys, stop your naughty boots purchases and get back on the frugal wagon! (Not jealous at all Grin)!

£3.35 posting a pair of walking boots to DS1 at uni.

Enjoy your day in London Girlie!

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/10/2016 19:33

Nice boots. I'm looking the fly boots especially.
Go for the day out cag. Then rest for the rest of the weekend so dd can recover.
Nsd today. Working and not going out at lunch is great for my wallet.
Feeling fat though so November resolution is to go back to the gym

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/10/2016 19:33

Martin money saver email has sainsburys nectar boost as 16 November

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/10/2016 19:47

£30 Aldi
£2 Iceland
80p sains
£4 Tesco, sandwich and rimmell stay matte powder, surprisingly really good quality for £3. My skins really oily too

I'm going to look into writing a business plan. Never done one, kinda been winging it for 16 years.

ememem84 · 27/10/2016 20:35

I love boots. Boots and tights. Best thing ever.

Exhausting day today. LSD. Clients all kicking off at once. Am on le couch eating le biscuits watching scream queens.

Cagliostro · 27/10/2016 20:40

I did pasta! We had a sauce left over from holiday so I did that and some peas. 😇

Talked to my mum about the whole caravan idea, she was surprised but supportive especially when I told her more about the reality of living here and particularly how it affects DD (both the lack of space/light and also still living near her old school).

Girlie my DD has capsules of paracetamol now. She can swallow caplets but finds they get stuck sometimes - however they are still much easier than the circular tablets that you can cut in half, I can barely stand swallowing them myself TBH! Caplets/capsules are easier I find and they can still be really cheap in Boots etc.

NeversellahouseCollie · 27/10/2016 20:44

Le em is back. Nice! But I'll miss your boobs Grin

ememem84 · 27/10/2016 20:54

collie I'll tell them you miss them Wink

Cagliostro · 27/10/2016 21:36

I was wondering why you'd changed back!

New thread here as we're nearly full

Tryingtosaveup · 27/10/2016 21:43

Hello again Em. I too will miss Boobs.
I hope DD is better Girlie.
£1.90 for one cup of tea today. So only had one!
Love all the boots. Another boots fan here.
