mammy he has these. They are brilliant! Optima Kids Vitamins

NeversellahouseCollie · 26/10/2016 08:35

They are pink strawberry and vanilla flavoured teddy bears. Highly recommended :)

mammymammyIRL · 26/10/2016 09:39

excellent collie will pick these up, half the price of the ones I was looking at and a better product

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/10/2016 09:49

Collie I was the same and left all the packing to the last minute which meant quite a lot of last min stress!! Maybe pack/sort stuff that isn't the end of the world if had to be unpacked iyswim, the stuff you don't need all the time.

Dd not 100% again, was thinking of going out somewhere for the day but she now has a cough and sore throat so probably needs to stay in the warm, she has a friend coming for the day tomos so really hope she is going to be better for that. Need to start planning our trip to London on Friday as well - eek! Get quite anxious about having to navigate the underground by myself!!

Cagliostro · 26/10/2016 10:06

Aww you'll be fine girlie have you got a smartphone as you can download a PDF of the tube map. Even as a regular user of the tube I make mistakes sometimes (damn northern line with its two routes caught me out the other week) but they're all so well connected that it's easy to figure out an alternative.

Shame you aren't there longer with time to kill, would've been nice to meet you as I really think our DDs would get on well :o

AGenie · 26/10/2016 10:22

Collie Last time I packed the big problem was getting boxes as the supermarkets all crush their boxes now instead of leaving them out. I've noticed that some garden centres don't though, and I think Argos even sell boxes.

I think once you have a reliable source of boxes, and even a bunch of bin bags for things like duvets, it should be more manageable.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/10/2016 10:33

Ha Cag I agree I think they would (and us as well!)

I have an old oyster card somewhere, will that still work? Can't remember what I did with dds, would she have had her own one or been on mine? Is the exhibition fairly easy to get to from Paddington? Sorry for all the questions haven't tried working all this out yet!

NeversellahouseCollie · 26/10/2016 11:05

We have loads of boxes as we saved them from the last move. Smile

I think I'll pack books and kitchen stuff we don't use often. Eeeep I hope I don't jinx it all. paranoid

AdoraBell · 26/10/2016 15:06

NSD.

Yesterday's Amazon shop was £36.

Hope you and DD have a great day in London Girlie

DH has taken something not fit for purpose back instead of shoving it in a cupboard Shock I'll make a frugaleer out of him yet Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/10/2016 15:29

Just back from going out to a local garden centre, had a nice time £8 on drinks and cakes and 50p on a small pumpkin.

Took some bits down to the dump and dd was very happy as the nice man at the dump re-use shop gave her a small free teddy to add to the mountain of soft toys in her bedroom Grin

SnugglySnerd · 26/10/2016 15:48

Well done on the pastry, Boobs, I absolutely cannot make pastry. DH won't even be in the house when I try as I get so cross!
Bad start to the day frugal-wise as shopping bill came to £81. Bought extra stuff for a picnic tomorrow as we're having a day out, still cheaper than buying food there.
Have been frugal and productive since though. Started the grand clear-out pre-babies and took 2 bags of clothes to the charity shop, nothing worth eBaying.
Bought a pumpkin in Asda for £1. Have carved it and made amazing Thai pumpkin & lentil soup - enough for 2 meals, pumpkin muffins and I'm going to roast the seeds. Good value from £1!

AGenie · 26/10/2016 15:51

I just managed to sell my slide scanner on ebay. Phew! In the end I took a £118 depreciation, which is much better than the £700 that it would have cost to have it done commercially.

Thanks all. The colour is called rose gold, if anyone fancies it if having their nails done.

Having a good day out in Richmond, North Yorkshire, with DS. The Autumn leaves are absolutely amazing here. Spends: £11.50 travel; £17.85 lunch; £5.50 ice creams and £7.60 on coffee, hot chocolate and a brownie to share, after our walk back from Easby Abbey. Total: £42.45.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2016 17:11

Keepon Step away from clothes. You probably don't need them.

creme Lovely autumn colour.

Adora Never thought I'd see the day. Now if you'd said he'd cheered himself up buying a Porsche that would've been more like it.

agenie Well done, Dh does things like that. He bought a tag watch and lost about £100 on it in 8 years when he sold it on eBay.

Can't remember days I spent on but;

£50 petrol
£4 homebargains
£5 Aldi
Fish and chips later with beer. Budgeting £10 for that.
80p soap.
£46 cat booster jabs & some painkillers for a suspected uti.

WreckTangled · 26/10/2016 17:23

Nsd.

AGenie · 26/10/2016 17:26

That's very clever of your dh with that watch Fluffy. I'd be worried about losing it or getting it scratched, as I'm pretty hard on my possessions. I'm glad to have the scanner off my hands again tbh.

snuggly am impressed at your pumpkin meals!

I wondered about roasting the seeds, do you just bung them in the oven? Dd currently doing another pumpkin, a smaller one! The soup sounds lush as well, did you use a recipe?

Have run out of milk and a few other bits so may pop out to local shop later. I had bacon and eggs for brekkie this morning and haven't felt hungry all day!

SnugglySnerd · 26/10/2016 17:35

I looked online, girlie. First you have wash off any traces of pumpkin flesh then you soak them in water for half an hour or so. Toss in a little olive oil with any seasoning you fancy and spread them out on a baking sheet covered in parchment. Roast in oven, shake after about 10 mins and supervise them closely to avoid burning!

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2016 17:39

Agenie

He polishes things with duraglit and uses a dremel drill polishing tool to flat things/ shine things so they look good as new.

Metal reconditions really well.

AGenie · 26/10/2016 18:22

That's very useful to know Fluffy. I always wondered what those dremel tools were for.

I have a fashion question, if anybody has a minute. Smile

I just found a pair of warm looking Ecco boots with 50% off, but I have no idea how I'm meant to fit the legs of my trousers over them as they're quite fuzzy at the top. I wondered if the fashionable folks might have any ideas?

These are the things:

outlet.eccoshoesuk.com/ecco-hill/p2212

I'd be hoping to fit them under trousers like these that have slightly shrunk in the wash so that I can now pinch an inch of fabric double at the calf.

www.next.co.uk/g53110s2#974878

Do you think it would work?

OP posts:
Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/10/2016 18:46

That would probably work genie as those trousers are slightly flared, otherwise skinny jeans would like nice which would fit inside the boots.

I like the boots Smile

Had an extra growth scan today and dd is estimated at 2900 gram so defn have grown. Yai, we are happy and she's in right position so now it's just a matter of waiting. Had lunch with dh after the scan, 20£ and got dd a gift that we are giving her when baby dd is being born from us, she's getting a doll so she can sit with us with her own baby, doll was 21£.
Also got an advent gift for dd in the book store,my friend works there so I get her staff discount of 33% so we're only 7 £
Boobs your outfit looks really smart. I look like a mix between a elephant and pingvin but luckily dd is my little pretty princess.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/10/2016 18:56

Nsd today as I worked 11 hours today.
Dh however went to the life centre in Newcastle and rang me from the pub for lunch. Life is having children go free week so that will offset the lunch

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/10/2016 18:57

Good news on the scan Italian
