This is my cat, who passed away in October 2014, aged 16. She was 12 in this picture.

adora I love German shephard! They're on my - long - dog wish list!

€210 on 2 tyres today. We had a deal whereby we paid €9.99 a month for the service so that was paid for. But we have to spend another €300 on brake pads on Thursday. AND the cruise control/speed limiter doesn't work any more - it worked before it went in for the service! So car has to go back in Thursday.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2016 17:32

Houdini looks ashamed, had he been naughty?.

babsmam · 28/06/2016 17:43

That photo was taken on Sunday morning. I will try and get one of him as a youngster. He had the most awesome tail. Yes fluffy he was great with the kids, I never had a trust issue at all. The most loving, kind, patient family dog we could have wished for and I'm off again sorry

NSD today.

babsmam · 28/06/2016 17:43

Ememem84 · 28/06/2016 17:57

Ok. So while we're sharing animal pics. This is my fave pony. This is lovely holly.

And this is a lemur at the zoo on Halloween last year.

Yeah cag, just seen your quote.

He was ipsos. He was one of those dogs everyone loved. A grown man cried when I told him as ddog used to clear his garden fence and steal food from him. Which luckily he laughed about.
Tell me to stop wibbling on if you want. Sorry

Whataboutwhathuh · 28/06/2016 18:15

This is Chucky. Three year old rescue car.

Whataboutwhathuh · 28/06/2016 18:23

Agreed, talk away about your ddog. I'm sure many of us know what you are going through xx

babsmam · 28/06/2016 18:25

Thanks
Took me a while to get the lemur photo em. Grin when Idid

ipsogenix · 28/06/2016 18:32

Several of my major relationships have been with pets, so I definitely know where Babs is right now.

needastrongone · 28/06/2016 19:04

Babs Keep posting as much as you like. Why not? You have lost a much loved part of your family. It hurts. I have 2 dogs, spaniels. I adore them.

Welcome back Adora.

Must admit, I've lost the thread again. Busy with the pony as the main competition of the year is this weekend.

DS also finished his GCSE's last week, and has a lot of post exam school treats, they are going to Alton Towers tomorrow, a fancy dress day Thursday and Friday is his prom. So busy there too and not much time to post.

And we haven't been frugal.

Today has been terribly expensive, and has made me question the long term frugality of not buying clothes.

DS needed a suit for his prom. I got one for £99 at Next, plus a shirt and tie, and then some shoes. He also needs new clothes for 6th form and some for his holiday. We haven't bought clothes for DS (other than swim shorts!) for nearly a year. He's not bothered, so he doesn't get them bought for Christmas or birthday etc. Including the suit and shoes, and some new sneakers, it cost me close to £400, I wonder if a couple of bits a month might have been a better spread of money? What do you guys all do? DS is obviously in adult clothes, being nearly 17 and long and lanky!! This pushes the cost up. We got lots of stuff from Primark and a few 'nice' bits from Jack Wills and Hollister, so he has something for 'best'

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2016 19:16

Can't he rent a suit? Moss bros or wedding hire shops do prom stuff.

He could still grow up till 18.

Star2015 · 28/06/2016 19:20

Hello,

Can I join in please?

I started a new job yesterday after being made redundant.

We're in the process of selling our house and buying another and will be taking out a much bigger mortgage to the one we have now.... We can afford it, but need to tighten our belts on silly spending as we will have lots of outlay when we move... And still want to have a life as well as a bigger house.

Today, I spent £1.70 on a small OJ from Pret whilst I was hanging around ready to start work what a waste I won't need to do this again as I can now go straight into the office now I'm not in training.

Hopefully the rest of the week will be nsd's!

Looking forward to getting to know you all virtually 😀

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2016 19:30

Welcome Star

The price of men's suit hire is stupid! Cheaper to buy them. Womens evening dress hire is cheaper.

lilacclery · 28/06/2016 19:46

Welcome star
babs talk away about your dog, it's a tough time.
First photo is up high & I can't reach, thunder died partly of old age & partly due to getting hit by a truck
Mitsy is one of our dogs & the other won't come out for a photo this evening next time maybe

Welcome Star.

He can use the suit for Uni interviews. He's a bright kid, that wants to go to a decent Uni. If it still fits, like you say, he's growing so much at present...

babsmam · 28/06/2016 20:30

Welcome star.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2016 20:32

What breed is misty?.

Brokentopieces · 28/06/2016 21:18

I constantly read these threads and seeing everyone talking about pets it made me think of something dd (age 7) brought home from school last week. It had been hanging in the classroom for a few months....what must her teacher think Confused
Back story....the dog was dd's world and I ran over her in the car and she had to be put down. My granny had the dog first and then my mother. She was over 20 years old.

You will have to start wearing badges supporting dog charities to balance out the whole doggicide episode.

I'm sure the teacher realises you wouldn't do it on purpose.
