Have to get photos of our dogs for the thread. Adora love yours
Italian your cat is fab too
I'm actually not a cat person even though it was my idea to get our two kittens a few weeks ago. I'm fond of these two thought Hmm

lilacclery · 27/06/2016 23:35

babsmam · 28/06/2016 06:19

Well if you are showing off your gorgeous pets.

Ememem84 · 28/06/2016 06:35

lilac I'd never even thought about that....
I usually use boots wipes then cotton wool pads for proper cleansing. But it is a lot of waste I suppose.

Once my washing machine is fixed/replaced and bathroom is done I might give them a go.

Hoping for nsd today.

Beautiful, Babs.Smile

Loving all the pet photos.

babsmam · 28/06/2016 07:12

I might log onto the computer and find one of him in his youth. Give me animals over people anyday. Sorry though I'm allergic to cats but the photos are cute

WreckTangled · 28/06/2016 07:20

Babs he's gorgeous! All the pets are Smile I'll need your advice on insurance do I want life time or what? So confusing. Also the pet plan girlie mentioned is £15 a month at our vets is it worth it? Includes boosters, flea and worm treatment, nail clipping and two check ups a year.

Hoping for nsd but I really fancy a chocolate muffin.

Italian your dd is gorgeous!

WreckTangled · 28/06/2016 07:27

Woke up to this...

(Sorry I'll stop now Grin)

Em the super drug hot cloth cleanser is very good and comes with a reusable cloth. I only use cotton wool for taking off nail polish now. I managed to get it for £2ish when they had an event on.

babsmam · 28/06/2016 07:52

Ok wreck. It's fine
Insurance- from bitter experience, if your pet had an ongoing condition and you change insurance it won't be covered by the new insurance. That said the renewals take your eyes out. If biscuit is 8 did you say it will become more difficult to insure him. Having my time again I wouldn't pay 16 years of insurance but we were lucky to have a healthy dog and what he did hi to the vets for was not covered.
In regards the pet plan. How much are all the elements separately and are you likely to use them. Ie cat claws clipping, isn't that why they have a scraping post ? Sorry not sure I've never owned a pet cat. Would you be better keeping the £15 a month in a cat account? Along with what your insurance premium might be ( also don't forget excess,) .
It's a very personal decision re insurance. I know people who have thanked their stars they have it but to us it was s waste of money.

lilacclery · 28/06/2016 08:48

Babs he's fabulous.

I get this Shock face from my db and a work colleague regularly when they find out we don't have health insurance. We've been fine without it. In last 12 months I've paid out €120 for a consultation cheapest health insurance would be €425. I figure if we end up with a big hospital expense, paying it back in a loan form would be as cheap as paying out in advance for insurance. I would class pet insurance in the same regard but I guess it depends on if you'll be using kennels or catteries as it would cover vaccinations etc for that too

ItalianWiking84 · 28/06/2016 08:57

Thanks wreck.
Needed petrol which was 30£ and need meat for lasagne for dinner.

ItalianWiking84 · 28/06/2016 09:00

Regarding pet insurance, we don't have any because they are bloody expensive here in dk. Instead I transfer every month 10£ for the budget and that more than enough cover her vet expenses

SnugglySnerd · 28/06/2016 09:24

He's made himself at home quickly, Wreck! I remember when we got our cat I said he wouldn't be allowed on the bed, that lasted about a week!
Our cat was 9 when we got him and we did take out pet insurance. Not sure I would again, I think I would put £20 a month into an account for vet bills instead but he's too old to start doing that now (he's 14).
£53 in supermarket. Realised I forgot to pay off my cc yesterday so expect I'll be charged interest. Frugal fail.

Noodlebrains · 28/06/2016 09:30

We do have insurance for our dog as he's a golden retriever and they can have cruciate ligament issues (my boys half brother already has problems). Don't have cat insurance though.

DH spent €5.20 on lunch yesterday.

Today we have a car service and it needs at least one new tyre so that's going to be expensive.

lilacclery · 28/06/2016 10:00

Noodle you reminded me to chase my mechanic - owe him for 2 tyres and fixing electric window on my car. We also owe him for work done to au pair's car and dh owes him for work done to his van. I've been looking for the bill since end of May Angry

ipsogenix · 28/06/2016 10:52

OMG! Cag there's a quote from you on the BBC news website!

<a class="break-all" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-36643131?intlink_from_url=www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-36570120&link_location=live-reporting-story" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-36643131?intlink_from_url=www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-36570120&link_location=live-reporting-story

"Cagliostro posted that when her nine-year-old daughter heard the news, she said: "Wait, so David Cameron just quit because he didn't get what he wanted? How silly.""

Fame at last! Smile [cuppa]Cake

ipsogenix · 28/06/2016 10:53

Brew in fact. Not cuppa. Smile

CremeEggThief · 28/06/2016 12:43

Our very own Cag, eh? Well spotted, Ipso.

NSD.

Whataboutwhathuh · 28/06/2016 12:48

Go Cag! Proud :-)))

Spent £80 in sainsbury on clothes for the kids in the half price sale and on bits to make biscuits and cake for the preschool sale. Had £40 of nectar points so came down to £40 which for two giant bags of clothes and flour / sugar / butter / icing was reasonable I think.

Ememem84 · 28/06/2016 13:01

£33 in boots.

Made a list and stuck to it. Dry shampoo (three different types all new to me all cheaper than batiste) wipes cotton wool pads and deodorant. Also got sucked into bumble & bumble salt spray and oil for my hair. For windswept beach hair (special offer. In a shiny pack-).

I am aware I live by the sea and could go dunk my hair in the water... I blame the nurofen and floopy decongestants.

OP posts:
SnugglySnerd · 28/06/2016 13:19

I am coveting that Bumble and Bumble hair product Em, luckily my local Boots doesn't stock it and I'd have to go into the city centre one so that's stopping me for now!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2016 14:05

Babs He looks a proper family dog. The kind who doesn't mind a baby using them as a stand aid. Gorgeous dog. I've told our cat he is never allowed to leave me.

According to Caroline Hirons face cloths are the best make up remover. She advises primark ones. I have a fresh one twice a day.

£1.50 on cheese cake.

All my boden stuff arrived and is fab, and my retin a cream from India. I will look 21 again in 6 months time.

AdoraBell · 28/06/2016 15:05

Wonderful looking dog babs

And those cats are luffly too Grin

Other than my supermarket order it has been an NSD,, tomorrow it's dentist for DD2. I'm looking for pics of the other 2 dogs.

Noodlebrains · 28/06/2016 15:17

This is the best photo I have of DDog on my phone (as we're showing off!)
DD and DDog were checking out the sheep.
