Hi Twowrongs! Grin

lilacclery · 23/06/2015 09:20

I've been spending money & I'm ashamed to post about it! Felt guilty but having thought about it I did extra self employed work which covered it & I paid extra off my credit cards too so it's not too bad. A new car radio €170, fitted it myself €0! Debating a Bluetooth adapter for it €60 but smaller than the fine if I'm caught on the mobile. Think I'll save for it week by week. Feels better that way.
2 tyres €140
School stuff for dd I actually have money saved for this but can't access it as the building society is banking hours & I'm at work, when I get a chance to withdraw I will pay this money off my credit card.

Frugal win ordered 3 pack of socks for dh as a joke for fathers day - they sent a 3 pack of diesel jocks instead worth €50!!

Also ate out twice as well. I've been treating myself a bit but I'm not going into debt over it so I'm content enough.

Well done on passing driving test peonies

I've been told by an officer of the law that what I'm doing is probably ok but I just think I'd prefer to be right.

AdoraBell · 23/06/2015 14:02

We're in Chile Pepa

Spotty should be the second week of July.

Welcome Twowrongs

Today will be an NSD. DDs are not in school and we're staying home. I'm Angry Bloody teachers have told DD1 that there wasn't a problem here the Gov just generalizeHmm We are within 50km of the Santiago and yesterday not only could we see the pollution here but it burnt our eyes and nasal passages. Not enough to need medical attention. And of course they were outside at break time because they are not allowed inside. Some of their friends/classmates have already been off with resparitary problems in the last couple of weeks.

lilac I would go with the legal option, although I can't concentrate on the phone when I'm driving. That could be because of feeling like I'm in an episode of Whacky Races though.

There are cheaper options but this one would work through the radio system so would cut off music if on a call.

I would regularly make calls on my way home from work to utilize the time so I can spend my time at home with the children

lilacclery · 23/06/2015 14:25

adora that sounds worrying.
Why would school put children out if there's a health issue?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2015 14:31

£14.95 on flowers for my friend to be delivered tomorrow.

I got £2.35 cash back I the flowers ????????

needastrongone · 23/06/2015 15:27

adora That does sound terrible. Hope you and the DC are ok.

I use the hands free all the time and don't find it any more distracting than listening to the radio or having another person or worse young DC in the car. DH does high mileage, he drives for a good part of the day sometimes. For him, it's essential.

Worth noting that both our cars operate the phones via touch screen or buttons on the steering wheel, so you never have to take your hands off the wheel.

NSD.

My Mary Berry book has arrived so I am having a perusal.

needastrongone · 23/06/2015 16:00

Frugal win - Horse box insurance is due. Current insurer quoted £511. I have just renewed after shopping around for £375.00. It's a bit of a specialist, therefore there's not a broad spectrum of choice out there, so pleased with that. Smile

NK5BM3 · 23/06/2015 16:39

I'm at the nail bar having a manicure and pedicure done - not frugal but a way for me to 'get ready' for tomorrow's big deal work thing. £35 is pretty good price for the uk I think.

Then having my hair washed and blown dry £20.

Parking already £2.20. Angry

Cleaner £36

Car wash £4 - in case I need to ferry any important folk in my car, I'd prefer them not to have crumbs on their bottoms when they get out! Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/06/2015 17:02

Bloody hell Adora, kids are off with breathing problems and their still sent out to play? Shock

My car has a factory fit phone kit and it's really good. It's a Citroen C1 if anyone's car shopping.

£40 hair incl tip
£10 petrol
£46 bathroom accessories.

Discovered that river island kids age 12 jeans fit me so I will be snapping some of them up on eBay when they come up.

JamHoneyMarmite · 23/06/2015 17:14

£9 today - fruit picking (2 punnets gooseberries and 1 of strawberries) plus picnic lunch bits. Kept DD occupied for hours though and got us both loads of fresh air, so worth it for a lovely day.

Phone appears to be on the blink, which is less good...

AuditAngel · 23/06/2015 17:37

Today £10.20 parking and I thonk £14ish train fares to reclaim from work. £7 in Boots buying a late breakfast plus hair clips/bands as went out without any and my hair is at a really awkward in between fringe growing out stage.

girliefriend · 23/06/2015 17:48

Hi all, collie hope you get on at the vets o.kay, if you have a cat flap could you get rid of the litter tray altogether?

Adora thats does not sound good, makes me worry for the planet when kids can't go out to play due to pollution Sad

Ipsos hope your son got on o.kay back at school, not long till the summer hols now Smile

So NSD for me which is just as well as am at least £150 overdrawn, roll on payday on Saturday!!

My EE BB has started and so far so good, was very easy to set up and seems to be working really well anyone know what to do with my old BT hub? Can you sell/recycle them? Seems a bit weird to chuck it all in the bin!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/06/2015 19:22

I think they have to be recycled, check ebay to see if anyone else has one for sale.
