Mixed day today. Will have to buy some food but might just do a small top up to last until Monday. It's the Co op though so not cheap.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 08:49

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 08:50

AuditAngel · 11/07/2015 08:52

£13 last night for takeaway dinner. Now on a mission to use freezer stuff up pre holiday, but need bread and some other stuff from Tesco.

NK5BM3 · 11/07/2015 09:19

Morning ladies, thunderbugs are really so gross. Hmm

Will be going to boots later to get vitamins and things like anti hair lice stuff. Received letters about them in school and nursery. I'm feeling itchy!

wheelycote · 11/07/2015 09:29

It's a 5. They do have them but I'm worried I would break the phone trying to do it!

Welcomewheely checking in every day isn't compulsory but a lot of us do. I do because I find sitting down and listing what I've spent helps me keep track and also makes me aware if I'm overspending. Plus I like chatting to everyone and have picked up some great tips.
Frugal win today - won £25 on the premium bonds Grin I have £500 in bonds and that's a lot more than I would have got from the bank in interest. I'm now considering moving my £500 from my savings account into bonds too. I know I probably won't win any more but it's tax free and the interest in the bank is pennies. Thoughts please?

wheelycote · 11/07/2015 10:41

Spotty have a look for mobile repair shops nearby. Not sure if they'd be able to help or do anything but it might be worth asking the question

Mine and my son's phones are old and we have a local mobile shop that has repaired bits in the past and its never cost me more than 8pound. If they have batteries and YouTube show you how to replace maybe..

Can't join orchard just yet as need clubcard number which they can't give over the phone. However rang clubcard and didn't realise I have had 3 clubcards!! now all merged with vouchers of 23.50 and 270 points!! BIG THANK YOU....loving this thread... clubcards arriving in post soon with vouchers Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 10:47

Amazing wheely! I'm saving my vouchers for Christmas this year Smile

Good idea I'll go to the repair shop next time I'm in town. It would be nice to have at least a few months of cheaper phone bills.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 10:48

Oh also we're going to a BBQ later and when I asked the host if we could bring anything she said 'just drinks'. Now I don't drink and neither do the dc Grin should I take our own soft drinks?

Pointlessfan · 11/07/2015 10:55

Spotty I would take something like some posh cordial or schloer or something.
Meant to say before, sorry to hear about the tonsillitis sufferers, it is so miserable having that. Gargling with salt water or soluble aspirin helps.

girliefriend · 11/07/2015 10:58

Spotty thats what I do if told to bring just drinks, I don't drink so always take some nice flavoured fizz instead!!

Welcome Wheely you are off to a great start Grin

So need to get my arse in gear and go to Lidls! Run out of lots of fresh stuff so non avoidable really, dd has horse riding later so need to get cash out for that. Her boden stuff has turned up, she really likes two of the items but not keen on one t.shirt, I thought it was free returns but appears not which is annoying. Not sure its worth sending back for £7.20 by the time you take postage off? Might just keep for a bday gift for one of dds friends maybe...

girliefriend · 11/07/2015 11:00

Yes sorry to hear your and dh not feeling great Collie (have you poas yet just in case? Wink)

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 11:07

Yes collie I was wondering that too Grin

I have decided not to go for dc3. Would love to but would prefer to be able to give the two I already have a good life Smile
