£3 something in tesco on petit pois and lunch.

girliefriend · 10/07/2015 15:56

90p parking
£30 petrol
£1.25 on a lolly for dd after school.

Not felt great today, non specific really but very tired. Early night for me I think

Outwith · 10/07/2015 16:04

£20ish on wood oil and stationery.
£70 on a ladder.

I don't know, we're in a phase of needing to do things around the house, so we might not have many NSDs. I think saving money where we can (meal planning!) is the way forwards for us.

TheseSoles · 10/07/2015 16:09

Hello, I haven't posted in absolutely ages. Life got super expensive as we're having to do the bathroom.

Just thought I'd share that when I went on the waitrose website to do the myoffers thing (if you have a mywaitrose card you can pick ten products from a list to receive 20% off them all summer) they also had a really good popup code for £30 off a £100 shop. Not sure if it was for first orders online as I haven't used them for online shopping before. It has to be delivered by Sunday but there were also free delivery slots.

Hope that helps someone.

A good trick with meal planning is to plan meals with the flexibility to swap the days around according to what you fancy. I also try to do 2 meals to use up a special ingredient) last week that was a butternut squash, next week it will be goat cheese. I always include one night that's called "freezer" too for when I'm knackered.
Spent a fiver today at the school fete. Planning my Lidl trip tomorrow - very excited!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/07/2015 19:16

Pointless lidl frozen mozzarella sticks are delicious!

I agree with pointless about the meal planning, I plan something quick for Tuesday's because when I've started work at 6:45 I cba.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/07/2015 19:20

We have a "something crispy" eg breaded chicken or fish fingers on nights I'm really tired from work.

I wish waitrose delivered here, I'm in a waitrose black spot. Sometimes they give you free champagne Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 10/07/2015 19:21

I got free tea towels Grin

£3.30 on ice creams by the beach. Love the beach. Hate the storm bugs (tiny black things that seem to swarm!!). Any idea what one can do?!

Happy weekend!

AuditAngel · 10/07/2015 20:05

Definitely not a frugal day today. I took delivery of my new iPhone on Monday. On Tuesday I managed to insert the SIM card incorrectly into the phone and jam it Blush

Today I took it into a nearby Apple approved shop and they managed to fix it for me. I bought a case and screen protector (£41) and £4 for parking (42 minutes!) lunch £7.50 the disadvantage of working near a tourist trap is the cost of going there.

Need to food shop.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/07/2015 20:20

NK we call them thunder bugs. We had hundreds in the computer screens at work Confused

Evilwater · 10/07/2015 20:22

I've had a NSD.
Wow!!!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/07/2015 20:26

NSD.

babsmam · 10/07/2015 20:27

Nsd number 4 yeah.
Could do with some food and have to contribute desert for a meal tomorrow so need to break my run tomorrow. Could do with a big shop before school holidays too as running out of snacks. Got an asda voucher so will use that.

Pointlessfan · 10/07/2015 20:41

We call them thunderbugs too. I hate the little buggers, I'm fairly sure I rubbed some into my skin last week when reapplying sun cream!
DH just mentioned a concert we'd both like to go to but tickets are £40 each. Don't think we can justify that really.
Will look out for the mozzarella sticks, I love those!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 06:14

I think I've got ring worm Blush was sure I had some cream but apparently not so will need to buy some. Have got my food shop coming today too.

If you're with EE you can get a portable charger for free. I'm not with them but one of the kids at school showed me his and it's brilliant. Would be great for camping.
Haircut, fish n chips and Lidl today - going to be spendy!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 07:14

My phone battery is shit. I really didn't want to upgrade but it doesn't even last half a day it's already down to 69%

NSD yesterday, but today I have to go shoe shopping for dd...her feet are busting out of her school shoes but she'll have to wait/wear plimsolls, also her clarks trainers at home. She wants a replacement for her trainers at home, which probably not really essential atm as she's wearing sandals/pumps but her feet don't grow fast (apart from in the last week it seems?!)
