It's just their current account. No fees for it.

I already have a current account at HSBC, is that just for new customers?

This is moneysavingexperts advice on switching bank.

I think I have had three current accounts so far this year.

NSD.

£80 at boots but lots of vitamins and stuff. I think I perhaps go there every few months.

I'm a HSBC advance account holder... And I've just gone in and looked at the terms. I can't have it, but i can connect up to the ISA thing...

And I've just realised I no longer have travel insurance with them!! I thought we did! Damn.

NK5BM3 · 11/07/2015 15:36

Apparently we do have travel insurance! Strange. That's with my joint account there.

Hi collie
We have an account each for the 2 kids. Each month they get £50 or some sort (I can't remember!!)Blush we have an account for us but since dh's
redundancy 3 years back, it's drained quite dramatically (we went from 5 figures to a low 3 figure!). This was due to us still keeping the kids in nursery most of the time as I was working and dh was setting up his practice.

We also have child trust funds with the older child probably having more money than the younger one because he had the bonus from the gov and because he's older. But that still takes £15/child/month.

That's it I think.

We save £100/month for DS, and as much as we can for us. We also over-pay the mortgage by £100/month. I don't know if we have the balance of these right actually - it feels like we need to do a lot of home improvements w/o a lot of money.

Stew of shop £149, bug. Didn't shop last week. I bought some holiday extras too.

£10.50 on 2 bikinis for DD2, £1.50 parking. Went back to try to get one gif DD1, another £1.50 parking, but no bikini Sad

girliefriend · 11/07/2015 18:01

Spent £35 in Aldi and got a ridiculous amount of food for that Shock i actually felt like I was robbing them as I left Grin

Savings wise I put £10 a month into dds trust fund, my dad puts some in as well.

I try and save £100 a month into my isa but most months I end up taking some of that back Blush also save £50 a month into an online savings account which is specifically for car related stuff.

Have to take girl cat to the vets tomos as her mouth is starting to look sore again, not sure how much that will cost but should be able to claim back on the insurance. Will need to get more cat biscuits as well, honestly these pets cost you a fortune (just as well they are cute Wink)

574ejones · 11/07/2015 18:05

£18 yesterday on headline treatment, so we all had the joy of that last night!

£30 gift for my mum and £26 on taking her out for lunch - it was lovely. £63 Lidl shop.

Got a fairly frugal Italian beef casserole in the slow cooker with lots of veg from the garden.

Fingers crossed for you Collie!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2015 19:14

It's new customers only on the current account.

We don't have much to spare but save £50 a month. Once we are debt free I will save for the dc too, they a few hundred each atm.

Pointlessfan · 11/07/2015 19:22

I must get round to switching my current account and setting up a savings account for DD. Been meaning to do both for months.
Spent almost £70 in Lidl on a big stock up and then a bit more in Waitrose on a few things we wanted that Lidl didn't have.
Panicking a bit about how to fill DD up over the summer hols. I wouldn't be worried if I'd have time to make lunch every day but you can't take your eyes off her for a nanosecond! At nursery she has breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and then an evening meal with us before bed. Any ideas for healthy, filling things that will keep in the fridge for a few days? I think we'll be eating a lot of toast and pasta!
