NSD

Hope DD is okay Peppa

Peppapissinpig · 04/07/2015 20:46

DD had blood test and has been put on antibiotics for 3 weeks. Hopefully that should knock any nasties on the head.

Roll on holiday and budgeting now back with a vengeance ignoring £25 spent on Pinot Grigio and Chinese

AuditAngel · 04/07/2015 21:35

NSD mainly because I didn't leave the house. We missed DD2's swimming lesson today due to huge traffic chaos caused by someone threatening to commit suicide. It ips awful that people feel so bad that they consider this is a reasonable (to them) solution.

Unfortunately I had to promise DD2 that she and I would go swimming tomorrow while DS and DD1 have their lessons. To make up for missing hers.

The Daily mail website was running the story earlier about the road closure.

£51 Lidl
£8.50 cat litter
£40 haircut
£18 Holiday toiletries
€39 Liber t tag for holiday

So very expensive day for me yesterday. Although on the positive side, I did harvest my own peas from the garden for tea!

574ejones · 05/07/2015 07:50

Girlie do you have the Go Outdoors discount card? I think it might cost £5 but if you go in there a lot, it is worth it.

Unescorted · 05/07/2015 08:09

It seems ages since I was here.... I have had a quick catch up waves to all the new posters and returnees.

I have managed the best frugal win ever by stopping smoking. I woke up in a really bad mood one day and decicded that was it - No more tabs. It is saving me a fortune.

Well done unescorted Smile

Jones beetroot is fab roasted. Just scrub the dirt off the skins and throw in the oven with a couple of bayleaves and some thyme. Bit of garlic if you are feeling adventurous. Let them cool and peel the skin off - chop into chunks & freeze.

Unescorted · 05/07/2015 08:27

It is a saving of about ?150 a month..... that is a lot of money.

My running partners are saying it isn't fair because I have suddenly got a lot faster for longer.

Rain has arrived and poor DS has a football tournament ????

SpottyTeacakes · 05/07/2015 10:06

It's cloudy here but is meant to brighten up later. I'm going to do roast gammon.

lilacclery · 05/07/2015 10:12

Yesterday was spendy - but had something lovely happen too. The man in the shop commented on me buying two Sun newspapers so I told him it was for aldi voucher. He pulled out 4 that expire today out of his pocket for me. I used 2 saving me €20 & passed the other two on to my sister in law saving her €20 & my two from the paper will save me €20 next week!

Was out for the day with kiddies so bought lunch out & ice cream then on way home bought chips to go with homemade burgers from freezer. Went out to the pub, spent money on drink & then came home & bought that iPhone on groupon!!

Today will be a nsd!

Hi all crazy spendy day for me today Shock

Just totalling it all up....

So

£93 in Go OutDoors that was with the discount card! However that got me quite a lot - horse riding boots (£25) a body protector (£60) a summer hat (£3) all for dd and a flask (£5) for me!!

The boots are black so hoping they will be o.kay for school in the Autumn as well!! The body protector should hopefully last a while...

Also spent £9.60 in Primark on gifts for dds friends, she has 2 parties next week. Did quite well I think as found some really nice little shoulder bags marked down to £2 and some jewellery bits and pieces to go with it. Will hopefully be the kind of thing 9yo girls will be pleased with!!

And lastly £24.99 in Argos, got a carry case for this which I will use for work although it looks bigger than I wanted so am deciding if it will be o.kay or not!!

Annoying weather, been sunny one minute and chucking it down the next!! Not good for getting my washing dry Grin

AuditAngel · 05/07/2015 16:53

Slightly spendy today. £9.50 taking the kids swimming, £1.55 buying them some sweets after.

Went to My husband's family restaurant, they were doing an event with Mencap. £12 for the kids lunch (mine, DH's and mum's were free)

£4.50 parking, £15 stocking the freezer up on ice creams and lollies

Peppapissinpig · 05/07/2015 17:01

Relatively spendy day (must be the weather!).

£15 on bits for hols. Had to buy some 100ml plastic bottles to decant shampoo etc - downside of hand luggage ????

£13 Waitrose on nothing really but at least got free coffee and latte

£5.20 at football tournament, drinks and ice creams

Peppapissinpig · 05/07/2015 17:01

Free coffee and paper!

lilacclery · 05/07/2015 17:17
