I'd keep the chicken too.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/11/2014 13:20

It's for a roast I though the fly's had gone too. I chucked it it had been out for half an hour and I wanted to use it tomorrow too.

DrewOB · 24/11/2014 14:23

I was doing very well then boobs decided to grow 2 cups in 2 weeks. So spent £100 on new undies that don't dig in

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/11/2014 14:54

£3 in homebargains, would've been more but I put two items back.

£3 sainsburys cocoa powder and rum essence.

£15 petrol.

55p bubble bath.

ohhelp Asda have tassimo pods on offer, even latte costa ones.

No more spends for me, tax bill & accountancy fees in Jan.

Aldi Voucher in Thursdays mirror/Record Just seen it on hotukdeals, last year they did an extra one before Christmas.

lilacclery · 24/11/2014 15:26

Bought dh a philips senseo coffee maker on facebook group preloved for christmas as we're not doing presents per say. Tassimo is now €59 should I just buy it and sell on the senseo? fluffy/ohhelp or stick to the token gift as when I've the coffee bought to go with it, it'll all add up anyhow?

€10 tesco voucher earned through survey site

Finally persuaded dh to open a joint account - it's taken years! Hoping this will make budgeting much easier as will only need to keep money to cover my own direct debits in my current account as opposed to family commitments as well.

needastrongone · 24/11/2014 15:34

I would have kept the chicken and made sure I reheated thoroughly I think Smile

Underwear really adds up doesn't it? Some of mine is absolutely ancient and dreadful. DH suggested getting a couple of sets a month to spread the cost.

Spent £10 on Amazon buying a head torch for DD, so she can get the pony out of the field at night to feed, hands free.

Anyone else got anything from Black Friday week?

Fingers crossed you get home MIssA

SpottyTeacakes · 24/11/2014 15:53

I just got the melissa and doug latches board down to £10 on amazon Black Friday. My sister will pay me back and give it to ds. It's the lowest it's ever been and sold out super quick. I'm really pleasedGrin

lilacclery · 24/11/2014 16:16

I had two brilliant finds yesterday - prepping front room for arrival of au pair, found €50 in a handbag that hasn't been used since june 13 and €65 in another folder!

needastrongone · 24/11/2014 16:18

I've just got the Batman box set for DS, should have been £15, was £10 but Blu-ray, the 'normal' one was £8. DS is hard to buy for, so that's a noce stocking filler. Smile

needastrongone · 24/11/2014 16:19

'nice'!! Didn't preview Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/11/2014 16:50

I have a feeling senseo pods are cheaper than tassimo, tassimo are still under patent.

My gut feeling is stick with the senseo & see how much he uses it, I use ours every few days, dh hardly bothers with it despite being the one who wanted the damn thing in the first place.

Tassimo offers come up every few months, they've been as low as €44 on the main website, is that where you were looking?.

OhForFoxSakeYourPullingMyChain · 24/11/2014 17:29

Miss A glad things are looking up, think you have been really brave about it all :)

Spotty - I hate it when that happens!

Early food shop this week

Nsd (other than school dinner money and after school club which is budgeted for)

Have agreed to work extra tomos so that will be an extra £50 in the pot.

To the pp who said they spend £8-£10 on presents for the dc friends, how old are your dc? If dd (8yo) gets invited to a party I budget £5 max for a present. You can normally get books on offer in the works or for girls nice toiletry sets in places like Wilkingsons or even Poundstretchers.

MissA you sound much better, you are a hero to have been so brave throughout your ordeal.

cheshcat · 24/11/2014 18:55

LSD - spent 50p with my Tesco Home voucher on some Christmas reed diffuser thing. Really feeling festive. Just received my Orchard voucher for Finest meat too. Love that we had a frost this morning!

Got my home insurance down by over half what Lloyds ripoff Bank quoted us, so really pleased with that.

fluffy & ohhelp thanks for advice, my gut feeling is stick with senseo. Think what drew me to tassimo is fact it can do hot chocolate as I don't drink coffee. I Only drink hot chocolate a few times a year!!
It was in a store I saw offer.

I hear ye about underwear, I've been meaning to get resized for months. Bought one bra when I stopped bf in a hurry in debenhams one day in July. Been wearing it since except while it's in wash. This week I will get make time to get measured & buy new ones.

Plans changed this evening so no shopping done yet! Dinner was fish, fish fingers + home made chips in the actifry.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/11/2014 20:16

Ikea do little milk frothers for a couple of quid on eBay, you could do normal chocolate, froth it, put it in a hot choc mug and top with marshmallows etc.

It would look posh and cost pennies.

girliefriend · 24/11/2014 20:32

Ohhelp Yy lego is so expensive, think boys are a bit trickier. My dd went to a boys 7th birthday party a couple of weeks ago and I ended up getting him a spiderman puzzle set, 4 puzzles of between 30-48 pieces each which was £3.99 in Poundstretchers.

Also check out the Entertainer they have tons in there at the mo at 50% off.

You must have very popular children for them to get 9 invites Grin luckily my dd only has one best friend!!

NSD for me but nothing to be too smug about, was off sick and didn't get around to ordering the presents I was supposed to.
