North, you might need new transformers if they're really old but for the main part they are retro fit. Eg designed to work straightaway.

It's the 12v step down that fecks everything up.

I love my spin dryer.

Just went to take a bite of my toast to discover it was mouldy SadSadSad

RobinEllacott · 13/11/2014 21:31

NSD - hurrah. Hoping for another tomorrow. MissA, fingers crossed all goes well for you.

Spotty, I hate small disappointments like that! They put me in a disproportionately bad mood.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/11/2014 06:46

£2 for dd for CIN (dress up and buy cake, was also meant to send a tray bake in but she's only four and gets a bus so she's not taking one).

I'm going to steal some food from my parents before work Grin

CoolCadbury · 14/11/2014 07:26

NSD Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Spent £10 on Gromit soft toy for DS yesterday and £10 on yet another pair of jeans for him (he wears out knees like it's gong out of fashion).

Sorry to post and run.

Oh Missa....you poor love.
I was just coming on to moan a it's being up all night with sick ds2 and Dh away but I shall shut up now :)
Oddly, even though I have been awake all night tending to a sick child, and haven't left the house, I still managed to spend £80 on the next website at 4am this morning!
:(
Oh dear.

DrewOB · 14/11/2014 10:56

still NSD! nothing since wednesday last week :)

Passthecake30 · 14/11/2014 11:11

Wow drew not even food or milk?

9 out of the ten bravissimo bras went back, will order more of the "keeper" when I find a figleaves offer. So £25

Hairdresser round soon, £60 I think, but would cost £140 in an hairdressers...

DrewOB · 14/11/2014 11:23

Wow drew not even food or milk?
this week wasn't my turn to do groceries so in effect I haven't bought anything since last time I was in Tesco.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 14/11/2014 12:19

In my room in hospital waiting to be told when my central line will be fitted. Have been fasted since last night so feeling rather hungry and thirsty...apparently once the liquid food starts working you don't feel hungry, I hope that's true otherwise it will be long week!
Still feeling quite Shock at the sudden seriousness of everything, and hoping that it might not take the full 7 days for me to be fit for surgery. I'd feel so much better if the consultant even came to tell me exactly what surgery I'd be having and when, what recovery time would be like, whether I'll be totally normal afterwards and able to eat what I like again etc.

I've been dreaming about food, I have such a long list of things I want to eat when I am well again, not very frugal!

Sent dd into school with £1 for CIN go to school in pj day and they are doing a cake sale later, my mum bought the cakes as I have been ill! Although did point out it would have made more sense to give the £2.89 she spent on cakes straight to CIN as unlikely to make it back in the sale!

Poor you MissA I can remember being like that when I had gallstones, the first bag of crisps I had post op was bliss!! Do they want your gut completely empty is that why you are NBM? Is the pain better controlled now?

OhForFoxSakeYourPullingMyChain · 14/11/2014 15:28

OhForFoxSakeYourPullingMyChain · 14/11/2014 15:50

* after a successful operation - sorry, its been a very long working week....

SpottyTeacakes · 14/11/2014 16:01

£63 tesco delivery

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2014 16:18

£42 food shop. Dh should have paid but he gave me the cash & it all got amalgamated with mine so I lost track. It includes the tesco finest meal deal, the coupons not valid with that offer but they over rode the till so I got the discount anyway.

After a few days on the feed you'll feel a lot better MissA, you're a young previously healthy woman so perhaps he's looking at 7 days as the maximum length of time it will take.

You will feel much better once you have the tube in. Though it is disconcerting not eating but not feeling hungry I remember. When I was on one for a few days a lovely nurse used to bring me orange flavored ice cubes to suck on :)

Today I have spent:
£1.99 on a new bulb for dd's bedside light
£4.99 on an Argos value iron (everyone in my new team is very smart and I am very crumpled!)
£3.98 on 4 over the radiator clothes airers so we can cut down on the tumble dryer use this winter

Another NSD here. Absolutely knackered and was supposed to be going to London this weekend, but can't face it. Need to recharge my batteries.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2014 19:29

Do you like your new job?.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/11/2014 20:58

Dd's a star in her nativity.

She needs yellow or gold tights and t-shirt. Any ideas? Google is no help Hmm
