If you didn't get the jab, would you consider having it now?

You'd better be quick if you're healthy and under 50...

"The Telegraph understands the Government is also preparing to wind down the open offer of the first two doses over the coming months. The move will mean unvaccinated healthy under-50s will soon not be able to get a Covid jab unless one is recommended by a medical professional."

In my ordinary world people have had the vax and get on with life.

Then you come across someone like BlueFlag and I always wonder what their life and their world looks like. It sounds so bleak what with the tyranny and coercion and the people being fooled all around. And being so in the minority and the social divisions ( as described on here) And how bad it is etc
What a world to inhabit.

Then I wonder do they probably just spend too much time on the internet? And thinking about it the 3 people I know who haven't had the vaccine ( 2 are family ) all spend way to much time on line. They practically live there tbh.

Get out in the fresh air @Blueflag22 Find a happier world.

CrunchyCarrot · 09/03/2023 20:18

Yes, thing is, the Blueflags of the world almost seem to relish the horrible conspiracy-ridden world they believe exists. I don't get that mentality at all.

peppathe3rd · 10/03/2023 08:54

@CrunchyCarrot @sunglassesonthetable @Mummyford
you all are being extremely judgmental of @Blueflag22

it seems as if once you have deemed someone to be a "conspiracy theorist," you give yourselves the permission to see them as "other," and then write about them from a hierarchical viewpoint where you are clearly superior. blueflag has written quite a bit about the abuser/victim dynamic. it seems as if they have experience in this domaine. i hope not as a victim. someone wrote that if one didn't take the vax, they get lumped into a category with the blueflags of the world, as if that were a terrible thing. do you realise how insulting that is?

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 09:12

Yep I do see @Blueflag22 'other' not like me at all. Totally different world view. And I dare say they see me as a fool. In fact they've already made that clear.

However didn't see you giving them a tongue lashing.

Have you ever considered the experiences of people who were very threatened by the existence of Covid itself? Minky has written about that. My husband was having cancer treatment and was very threatened. No, didn't think so.

So please don't lecture on 'victim' dynamic. Or 'insulting'

As usual in like a ton of bricks with zero nuance.

peppathe3rd · 10/03/2023 09:57

i don't see anyone as other. i have certainly experienced people's debilitating fights with covid. i don't remember ever diminishing that struggle, nor the anguish of the aftermath. i'm terribly sorry that your husband suffered with cancer during that time. you presume a lot about me but are pretty much single-handedly wrong each time. one of my absolute dearest family members has a health issue that made covid a giant threat both mentally - trying to navigate the fear around catching it while attempting to live a pre-2020 recognisable life, and physically. thankfully, she managed covid quite well, but i realise that millions of people did not. i disagree with most of what you write on here but would never see you or blueflag as "other." i don't under that mentality.

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 10:08

Good for you👍🏻

CrunchyCarrot · 10/03/2023 10:18

I see Blueflag's views as 'other', yes. Not Blueflag herself/himself. I most certainly don't see myself as superior to them. I found Blueflag's comments quite smug as if we who don't hold the same views are stupid and brain-washed. She/he isn't the first person I've come across with that attitude. I have been sickened by some who think all those who were vaccinated will die soon or become ill. That's a terrible thing to say, based on no data whatsoever. I have also encountered some virus-deniers who don't believe in viruses at all. Despite several qualified scientists pointing out the mass of evidence and patiently talking them through it, they were still determined not to believe any of it. So I don't think that Blueflag will change their views, sadly, although I really hope they will do so one day. After all, Blueflag didn't come up with those views themself, they have vacuumed them up from others on the 'net. I hold those others responsible, ultimately.

I was terrified at the outset of the pandemic when people started dying from Covid. I have autoimmunity and am not in the best of health. Was convinced I'd die if I got it. Yet at the same time, was too terrified to be vaccinated. As it turned out, I got the virus and had no symptoms (pre-vaccine) but made a ton of antibodies. Last year I had Omicron and it made me quite unwell for a week, but I recovered swiftly. However it could have been very different.

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 10:18

I think it's clear on here who your 'others' are. In honesty.

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 10:19

that was to Peppa.

GoldenAye · 10/03/2023 10:29

Well said, @CrunchyCarrot.

peppathe3rd · 10/03/2023 10:41

@CrunchyCarrot
i totally understand seeing views as other, but i appreciate your differentiating the idea from the person. "othering" people in society is a dangerous road to go down, in my opinion. i am also horrified when i hear people suggest that vaccinated people have a ticking time bomb inside of them. i can't think of any worse psychological operation than having that installed in one's "hard drive." in my experience, people that have been vaccinated have not adopted this belief thank goodness. i'm very happy to hear that you fared well with covid and i appreciate your message in its non-divisive tone. i'm sorry to hear that you have an autoimmune condition and wish you nothing but health going forward.

Nope because they think it's rubbish.

peppathe3rd · 10/03/2023 10:47

@sunglassesonthetable
i welcome you seeing me as other. long may it last.

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 10:50

love you too Peppery 😉

Thank you. I don't think I am superior to anyone, nor indeed am I inferior to anyone (although the latter is a work in progress for me!). All the best to you, no matter any differences we might have. :)

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 11:29

rattle rattle

Hmm, and you don't 'other'. Or write from a a 'hierarchical' viewpoint.

peppathe3rd · 10/03/2023 11:37

i don't see you as other. i dislike you. big difference.

sunglassesonthetable · 10/03/2023 11:41

no you're implying I'm other in the hierarchy of intelligence and having something to say.

Empty vessel and all that.

Unlike you who is different and presumably 'better' at it.

MinkyGreen · 10/03/2023 16:23

I do wonder if those who reject global government policies and consensus medical science would rather inhabit an island where they could set their own rules - or rather - no rules. How long would it last? Or would it all turn a bit ‘Lord of the Flies’?

itwasntmetho · 10/03/2023 19:34

We have autonomy in our own country Minky, why would we need to do that? Would you like to live somewhere more authoritarian?

JenniferBooth · 10/03/2023 19:38

It was the unvaccinated who were bullied and i say that as a vaccinated person.

JenniferBooth · 10/03/2023 19:41

Care workers were threatened with loss of their jobs if they didnt have the vaccine yet they were good enough to care for their residents when no vaccine was available. Used and disrespected by a bunch of users

Now they should fuck off to a remote Island apparently.

JenniferBooth · 10/03/2023 19:46

YY @itwasntmetho yes apparently Its the worst case of people being used that i have ever seen
