If you didn't get the jab, would you consider having it now?

You'd better be quick if you're healthy and under 50...

"The Telegraph understands the Government is also preparing to wind down the open offer of the first two doses over the coming months. The move will mean unvaccinated healthy under-50s will soon not be able to get a Covid jab unless one is recommended by a medical professional."

@sunglassesonthetable help myself do what?
I have no idea what you want?

@MeetPi I thought you were starting with the 'casual insults' about comic books? Check out Alan Moore, incredible mind.

"Why do always do this?" doesn't make a lot of sense but I feel you feel attacked and for that I am sorry, it felt like you were attacking me and I was trying to be polite.

Hope you enjoy Alan Moore (it's an absolute gift if you haven't read his work - Promethea, Watchmen, From Hell - All classics across various media and I hope they bring you joy) and if you feel I have made a mistake with Orwell please explain or you have a question I am happy to answer...

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 22:31

Don't want anything.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 22:00

Hello @MeetPi
Yes I have read Orwell thank you, and without outing myself, I have taught English at degree level.
Where do you think I have made a mistake?

Re: Alan Moore, why not check out V for Vendetta, it is a classic of the medium.
Alan Moore and Orwell have a lot in common of attacking dystopias (which you seem to be cheering for?!).
Read the graphic novel, not watch the film, that was a bad version which Moore disowned, the story in the text of V for Vendetta is very Guy Fawkes, a cautionary tale. Exciting stuff and very well put together.

Not sure why you are now shifting the topic in some kind of 'comic books must have no information in them' direction, it seems you are not very well versed in literature yourself!

@HelpfulMonkey
without outing myself, I have taught English at degree level.

Which makes it all the more surprising that you believe 'histrionical' to be a correct usage.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 22:35

Great.
Have a wonderful life!
I'm going to get back to looking into that Christine Anderson MEP person and her investigation.
That video I posted before ()
wasn't the best and there has been a lot of information on this thread about her so it would be interesting to learn more on this topic rather than answering lots of non questions here!

OK, not sure what kind of point you are trying to make here?
What is it you are after @CertainUncertain ?

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 22:46

But thank you @CertainUncertain - I just found this thread you posted on (www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4445347-To-wonder-this-about-claims-of-media-conspiracy) it's really interesting, I'll read that!

wasn't the best and there has been a lot of information on this thread about her so it would be interesting to learn more on this topic rather than answering lots of non questions here!

Some quotes from the video:

"we have been lied to....lock them in their homes...all based on GIGANTIC LIE"

"need to hold Pfizer accountable for what went on behind the scenes...house of cards tumbling down"

"it was never about public health, it was never about breaking waves, it was always about BREAKING PEOPLE"

These are all just jumbled statements. I'm not sure what point she is making about the vaccines, and if she is making a point what evidence she is basing this on.

It's a classic example of attempting to rile people up with no actual information. Can't you see there's literally no substance here @HelpfulMonkey?

What claims is she actually making? How is she conducting this "investigation"?

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 22:50

You're a piece of work! hilarious!

I was wondering how one word missing from a sentence being repeated for the 3rd time, apparently threw you so much . For you know, a degree level tutor?

And such a fuss about it.

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 22:51

@HelpfulMonkey

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 22:53

Are you sort of "threatening " @CertainUncertain? Exactly what are you getting at?

"I'll read that!"

"

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 22:57

@sunglassesonthetable what's wrong?
What can I do to make it better for you?

@Biochemist that video is an old conversation, no need to go into it again.
Check out the pages back if you didn't read them.
No need to go through it all again!

But she is looking for truth I think.
Which is better than this squabbling!

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 23:03

Which is better than this squabbling!

The fights follow you.

what's wrong?
What can I do to make it better for you?

Leave out the disingenuous sincerity. You'll dish out another insult in your next post either to me or someone else.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:05

@sunglassesonthetable I'm not threatening anyone!
I'm not getting at anything - I was curious why they chimed into the conversation and found that thread from their posting history, it looks really interesting and a good read, that's all, why does everything have to be a fight?

Not sure why I am 'a piece of work'? but OK.
Like I said before clam down, all this stuff is very odd.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:07

Just read your last post and that's more fighting,
Not trying to insult anyone!

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:08

There is no "disingenuous sincerity", I am being perfectly clear.
You have not been clear in the past but we have cleared that up now and so I'm not sure why there is a continued appetite for bickering?

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:10

And the fights do not 'follow me', for some reason posters keep cropping up and wanting to have a pop which is odd but life is odd so it's OK, I will do my best to placate everyone!

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 23:11

Like I said before clam down, all this stuff is very odd.

Yes I agree. It swirls around you.

And I guess that's a typo in your sentence. You know, like the typo that gave you the " words in a row" hissy fit before.

It's ok though. I can work it out.

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 23:12

There is no "disingenuous sincerity", I am being perfectly clear.

spot the casual insult.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:15

OK fine?
So what?
It seems you are OK?
You don't want anything but you want to keep telling me I'm having a hissy fit or something?
You seem to want to perpetuate a non conversation?
To what end I do not know...

MeetPi · 06/02/2023 23:18

@HelpfulMonkey

"Why do always do this?" doesn't make a lot of sense but I feel you feel attacked and for that I am sorry, it felt like you were attacking me and I was trying to be polite.

At the end of your posts, you tend to attack the other poster's intellect or understanding, or ask if they have some kind of mental/emotional issue. This deflects from point at hand and is also deeply ironic. (And you were not trying to be polite.)

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 23:19

Yep not you at all. Casual insult after casual insult and It's everybody else. Not you at all.

Good night.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:24

@MeetPi sorry if I have come across badly or offended you, not my intention at all.
I do not want to deflect from any point and I am just trying to be clear.
I think I have 3/4 posters 'attacking' me in some way now, not sure why or what I have done wrong but I will just do my best to answer questions if asked and help who I can!
If you feel I have a bad intention I am sorry about that, I do not, but I cannot govern how you feel!
This is a thread about Covid and for some reason you all seem to want to make it about me?!

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 23:25

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 23:19

@sunglassesonthetable good night.
Happy sleeps.
As I said before, not sure what you want from me but if I can help I am happy to.

Weird, when I tried to click on that thread, it wasn't there, but I do remember it, I do still wonder the same thing, and I agree, it's really interesting. So, what's your point?

Oh, and mine was that you're an extremely disingenuous shit stirrer and quite possibly a liar. Have a good night (once you've clammed down)!
