If you didn't get the jab, would you consider having it now?

You'd better be quick if you're healthy and under 50...

"The Telegraph understands the Government is also preparing to wind down the open offer of the first two doses over the coming months. The move will mean unvaccinated healthy under-50s will soon not be able to get a Covid jab unless one is recommended by a medical professional."

@sunglassesonthetable
""I just who we should apologise to?"
is not a sentence - it means nothing.
It's not me who has 'lost the plot'!

In answer to your question, one should apologise to those that they have done harm to, unintentionally or intentionally.

If you make a mess you clear it up, simple things.
If you have gone crazy on the internet pushing certain ideas which are found to be wrong then you should have the self respect to admit you are wrong and confirm what is true, not just disappear or cause more trouble, depends on what kind of person you are I suppose?

@HelpfulMonkey

*Someone told me there was going to be a name and shame campaign of the people who worked on all the Covid messaging - putting their faces on posters all over London so they have to atone for the damage they caused.

Wonder if that will happen to the bully posters on here, if they will get found and hounded for the damage they are doing?*

This is peak insanity. For the side who shriek "It's so 1984!" all the time, this is so ... Orwellian.

Sorry I never answered this, it's not "Orwellian" - it's holding people to account

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:02

For goodness sake! it's clearly a typo.

The word 'asked' is missing.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:03

Nothing is clear, it's word salad nonsense gibberish!

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:07

CBA . 🤷‍♀️ Honestly. This is painful.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:08

But it's OK and I hope you are too.

Thank you for taking the time to actually express what you were trying to say, maybe a cup of tea is in order if you can't form a sentence and then get a bit histrionical to try and excuse yourself!

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:09

I am sorry you are finding it painful spending your time picking fights online, maybe step back?

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:10

Good way to shift the topic though

Please don't. The faux niceties make me cringe.

I'm fine forming sentences thanks. And I'll leave the histrionics to you. See below.

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:13

I am sorry you are finding it painful spending your time picking fights online, maybe step back?

I don't believe you.

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:14

And you never actually answered the question.

But I sort of knew that would happen.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You've lost the plot.
And yes it's totally Orwellian.

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:14

But I sort of knew that would happen.

I thought I answered all of your questions, sorry if I didn't.

Not sure what is 'Orwellian' about taking on the government and fighting against injustice, I think it's more 'V for Vendetta'!
Do you like Alan Moore?

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:34

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:14

But aren't you the poster who did that thing on the other thread that was like "don't you get it? I .just.don't.wan't to." in response to being asked to answer a question and now you are badgering me to answer a question I am pretty sure I have already answered?
Phew!
Overtime tonight...

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:36

I can't be bothered to find exactly what you said but you know what I mean.
Why are you picking fights?
Chill out!

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:41

Oh I thought you were on this thread freely answering questions? And freely posting?

If you don't want to answer just say.

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 21:43

I can't be bothered to find exactly what you said but you know what I mean.

I've got a feeling it's not me 'picking fights'. 🙄

More like fights seem to follow you around.

I'm chill thanks.

Have you actually read Orwell? And, no, I haven't read any comic books recently.

Seriously, I mean, WTH.

Talk about picking fights.

HelpfulMonkey · 06/02/2023 21:52

It's not that I don't want to answer, I am happy to and I thought I did, all the questions.
If you feel I haven't answered your question I am sorry but if you read back I think I did answer all that you asked.

Not sure I know what you mean about 'fights following me around'? but if you have a problem with me feel free to message me off thread and sort it out, it's probably not good to derail a topic of information about Covid stuff with bickering unless that is the idea?
You seem to want something (an answer?) desperately, not sure what it is, but if I have it I am happy to give it to you, just be clear and try not to have a meltdown after you make a confusing typo!

I think posters here can read. There was a meltdown but not me.

I've got no interest in any off grid interaction thanks.

You can do the faux concern whatever.

I think posters must be bored to death of the pair of us.

Hello @MeetPi
Yes I have read Orwell thank you, and without outing myself, I have taught English at degree level.
Where do you think I have made a mistake?

Re: Alan Moore, why not check out V for Vendetta, it is a classic of the medium.
Alan Moore and Orwell have a lot in common of attacking dystopias (which you seem to be cheering for?!).
Read the graphic novel, not watch the film, that was a bad version which Moore disowned, the story in the text of V for Vendetta is very Guy Fawkes, a cautionary tale. Exciting stuff and very well put together.

Not sure why you are now shifting the topic in some kind of 'comic books must have no information in them' direction, it seems you are not very well versed in literature yourself!

@sunglassesonthetable Ok then, that's fine,
then is it time to stop or are you going to keep baiting me and asking me to answer questions I have already answered?
I am happy to leave it, I think I have answered everything you asked, if there is anything I have missed I would love to answer, just let me know what you want?

sunglassesonthetable · 06/02/2023 22:05

Why do always do this? There's really no need to throw a casual insult into every post you make. I simply haven't read much of that medium. You know nothing about me and I know nothing about you bar what I've gleaned here. (Re: literature, I have a doctorate in literature.)
