Managed 2 and half years and it's finally got me!

Tested positive yesterday evening when I thought I was literally going to die! Had a headache and cold symptoms I couldn't shift throughout the day. Had an early night but woke up with a 40.1 degree temperature and was shivering head to toe.
Managed to dodge covid.. until now. Hearing a lot of people catching it again.
It's horrible! The worst thing is the headache!
Anyone else currently have it?

Well my smell has gone again

Weirdly, my nausea returned earlier, and I thought I was better. But I'm still testing positive, so... I've got another weird symptom, which is kind of heavy arms. Hard to explain. Probably not helped by the heat.
I wonder why we've got symptoms back? I'm starting to feel really cross with Covid now! 😤

I’ve had the heavy arms too. As seems to be the way with this bloody virus, it’s two steps back again - I’m feeling worse on day 7 than I was on day 6. The nausea has kicked in and my chest feels tight. The heat doesn’t help.

DH is on day 10 and currently asleep on the sofa. Both of us still testing positive. We are both early 40s, fit and in good health. Or were. Humph.

Solidarity to others still feeling shit. I hope you start to improve soon.

I've got the horrible heavy feeling all through out my body, especially legs, so I know the feeling.

Day 12 and testing negative. Still tired though. Sense of taste and smell seems to be coming back.

Still positive, day 8. Woke up smelling fags mmm lovely. Chest feels bronchitis like and just feel knackered.

Sorry for everyone else still on this roundabout of covid. Grrrr I’m fed up!

Hi, just wondering how long after symptoms did everyone test positive on lft?

My daughter hasn't been 'right' since Sunday (off food etc) but fever started yesterday and still off food and quiet lethargic.

Temp of 39.8 this morning but still negative test

Tested negative this morning but throat feels sore and have a runny nose. V confusing. Some taste back but not smell yet (handy for dog poo picking 🤣). Hope everyone is on the mend.

@SolemnlySwear2010 Day 11 for me before I got a negative test. I was still positive day 9 - didn’t test day 10 as I only had one left. Feeling much better but energy levels still not normal though I’m feeling more like my old self each day now.

I know of someone who kept getting negative results on tests she did at home.
She decided to go have a PCR test done as she felt unwell and it was positive.
She did another test at home straight away when she got word of the positive PCR test and it still came up negative. Bad batch of antigen tests ?

It took me 10 days to get a negative result but I’m now back in bed again today I feel so bloody lousy.

I hope everyone feels better soon.

A family member also thought they had Covid but with negative test results but they actually have an respiratory infection and are now on antibiotics.

Meanwhile thousands of miles away the same things has just happened with my brother. Thought it was Covid but its a respiratory infection. I find it fascinating that there’s something running alongside Covid and people are getting it 1000’s of miles apart.

Teacher here, never once tested positive but now we've all got it. Oddly the worst thing at present is severe lower back ache. Also feel woozy and hot.

Hi everyone. I think I'm on day 6. Hadn't had a sore throat for 3 days and then woke with one this morning. Again. How can that happen? It's like my breathing tube has a slightly hot and prickly cactus in it. Has anyone else had this? Paracetamol aren't really working. It's sore even when just breathing. Breathing feels easier though and I can smell and taste again but feel knackered.

Yeah it’s very bloody rollercoaster like. Every time I think I’m okay it whacks me with a sore bronchitis feeling or wave of fatigue. Sitting outside now to try and get some garden air.

Thanks @AhaLyn . Sorry you're feeling rubbish too. I can relate to the waves of fatigue - I'm ok one minute and then suddenly need to sleep. It's so strange. Good luck finding air outside today 😬🥵

It certainly is a roller coaster! I'm hesitant to ever say I atleast feel a bit brighter as you never know what's to come it seems. Are you guys sleeping normally? I'm also incredibly tired but dont sleep well when I do fall asleep at night, it's very broken and that sort of nightmareish weird dream sleep you get when poorly. Hope the heat isnt making any of you feel much worse 💐 xxx

I was diagnosed with Bronchitis today. The Dr said I was very unlucky to end up with it following Covid but truth be told I think what I thought was the Covid cough was actually Bronchitis and Covid at the same time.

Im Exhausted.

@Magic1231 A bit up and down really, I seem to start feeling better and ‘crash’, it seems to coincide with this strong smoky smell coming on and smoky taste in my lungs. I will get a strong wave of both and feel weak and strange, I rest up and I’m sort of ok again until the next bout. Very odd and annoying X

Another negative lft for my daughter this morning, but she has all the usual symptoms. Fever, sore throat, cough etc - only have 2 tests left so once they are finished I won't be able to test her anymore

DS is day 10 now. I'm yet to test him this morning but he was still positive yesterday 😩 he is fine just still has a lingering cough.

I'm absolutely fine now but I'm still off work (working from home with a poorly clingy 16month old has been a massive challenge!)
My DM has angina and asthma so I've kept him away. But I really need to return to work and she has him for me!

Does anyone know if you are still contagious after day 10 even if testing a faint positive???
