I have woken up feeling breathless, tired, achey and tight of chest.

LFT negative but I've booked a PCR as I want to see elderly mum this w/e so want to be sure.

I know it seems that the current variant BA.2 seems to be a bit worse than Omicron that everyone had at Christmas, but I'm not sure what the symptoms are.

If you have covid now, what are your symptoms?

Yes reflux, trapped wind, vomiting & diarrhoea as well as lots of other symptoms
treedragon · 26/03/2022 14:29

I tested positive Thursday morning and todays it’s still blazingly positive.

BingBangB0ng · 26/03/2022 14:49

Just realised I’ve also totally lost my sense of smell. I think it’s just happened today. Feeling pretty down about it.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/03/2022 15:31

Yes, I was really puke-y sick last weekend.

The no taste/smell thing is just so weird.

JKDcot · 26/03/2022 15:45

I am day 2 since positive but I think day 4 since symptoms

Suffering with nausea, dizziness and headache that comes in waves. Feel fine for a few hours and then it just hits me and I can’t move? Hoping it passes soon

CJay81 · 26/03/2022 15:58

Day 1 of testing positive, started doing daily tests couple of days ago with a dry throat and a very slight couch. Woke up this morning full of cold. Hopefully that's all get.

PurpleThistles · 26/03/2022 16:31

Day 6 since positive test, though I think it might be day 8 since symptoms first started. Still hoarse voice that gets better as the day goes on. Can breathe through my nose again. Been quite tearful today but went for a walk and feeling better. Still positive lateral flow.

For those worried about oxygen levels, get yourself an oxygen meter. I ordered one from Argos and it is very reassuring to know my levels are good.

Classicblunder · 26/03/2022 16:40

First two days were lots of chills and fever, snotty, sore throat. Very occasional dizzy spell. Feeling a little better on day 3, last night I slept through without waking up in the middle of the night too hot to go back to sleep

JKDcot · 26/03/2022 17:45

Anyone else getting the nausea / headache and dizziness come and go in waves. You think you’re ok and then BAM you feel floored? It’s awful.

Yes. Not nausea but my dizziness can come on very suddenly
JKDcot · 26/03/2022 17:51

It’s so uncomfortable? I woke up this morning and felt so much better. Then just bang. I have to lay down as my head is throbbing and I feel dizzy and sick. How many days does this last? I don’t even have any cough/cold symptoms

Cali369 · 26/03/2022 18:13

Husband is on day 2 since testing positive and since noticeable symptoms.

Lots of coughing, sneezing, runny nose and total body aches. He says he feels full of cold and even went back to bed this afternoon (which is very unlike him, usually with a cold he just takes Lemsip and soldiers on without much effect on him).

We're trying to isolate within the house so I don't catch it.

CheekySwifter · 26/03/2022 21:27

We've also had sickness and diarrhoea on days 2 and 3.

KeepYaHeadUp · 26/03/2022 22:16

Been feeling under the weather all week (actually did PCR on Weds which came back negative yesterday). Woke up feeling even worse today and have a very faint line on a LFT. I have a PCR I was sent with a recent batch of LFTs which I may use either if my LFT stays faint or if my partner's LFTs stay negative as he's due to travel for work over the next few weeks.

Today I've been feeling achey, headache, sore throat, heavy, sore chest. Also weird migraine like symptoms - numb face, weirds vision.

gthyjuyhtrew · 26/03/2022 22:27

Day 1: I was negative in the morning, but all day I felt 'off', just tired and weirdly tearful and overwhelmed (felt like PMS) but still no obvious symptoms. I then did another test in the evening and it was very faintly positive, and within around an hour I started feeling ill - aching joints and really sensitive skin. It felt like all my symptoms were in my body.

Days 2 and 3: Normal cold symptoms. Energy levels normal and no more body symptoms. Coughing every now and again but mainly at night, sneezing a lot. This evening I have a blocked nose which is new. Energy-wise I feel fine and if it wasn't COVID I'd easily carry on, I have to keep reminding myself that I have COVID and not 'just a cold'. I have still rested though as I'm hoping by Monday I'll be almost back to normal.

I have noticed I definitely feel worse in the evenings, from around 6pm onwards - but still minor cold-like symptoms thankfully. Has anyone else found this too?

GD12 · 26/03/2022 22:38

Day 5 and pretty much feel back to normal now. Slight phlegm cough has almost dried up, energy increasing and LFT line less dark today. Relieved it's been very mild.

treedragon · 27/03/2022 06:29

I’m getting fed up with people saying this things is “mild” especially with a vaccine. Who actually determines what’s mild or not and how? I would consider a mild illness to be a simple niggle that doesn’t interfere with day to day activities including attending work.

Given I’ve barely moved from the couch since Thursday I hardly classify it as “mild”.

treedragon · 27/03/2022 06:32

@gthyjuyhtrew

Yes I have found it seems to worsen come the evening about 6pm or when it starts to get dark.

Onegingerhead · 27/03/2022 10:28

Day 5 today, running nose and teary eyes are gone, just occasional cough. Will test later in the day but have a feeling it will still be positive

treedragon · 27/03/2022 10:30

My positive test was Thursday morning so is today my 5th day?

usernotfound0000 · 27/03/2022 12:39

Day 5 for me. Bit of a headache but otherwise ok. Tested this morning and it was such a faint line, properly had to squint to see it.

treedragon · 27/03/2022 12:50

I think it’s day 5 tomorrow for me it was Thursday I officially tested positive but I felt unwell on Wednesday.

Does anyone else have anxiety with this? Unlike a cold I’m here thinking I’ve got a potentially deadly virus in me and remember those awful scenes in Italy

usernotfound0000 · 27/03/2022 13:22

I definitely felt that way when I had Covid last year, feel much more relaxed about it this time.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/03/2022 13:39

Day 10, abc a horrible upset tummy. Really choked up. Lateral glow practically neon positive.
