If you have covid now, what are your symptoms?

I have woken up feeling breathless, tired, achey and tight of chest.

LFT negative but I've booked a PCR as I want to see elderly mum this w/e so want to be sure.

I know it seems that the current variant BA.2 seems to be a bit worse than Omicron that everyone had at Christmas, but I'm not sure what the symptoms are.

If you have covid now, what are your symptoms?

I keep getting messages from Test and Protect (I’m in Scotland) with different isolation dates which is really confusing. I rang them today to clarify and they only count cough, fever, and loss of taste/smell as official symptoms still. So I am two days behind where I thought because my symptoms started two days before the cough! I can do lateral flows tomorrow and Saturday and see if I can have an early release…

Tested positive Tuesday after testing negative Monday..

Aching back and legs, fatigue, sore throat, intermittent cough abd croaky voice, moments of feeling freezing cold, slight nausea, smell and taste decreasing.

Not nice.

Started with symptoms on Sunday (headache) tested positive on Tuesday and again yesterday. Headache has gone, but I feel tired, achy, coughing up green phlegm (chest feels painful) hoarse voice, random pains, weird dreams and the odd hot and cold flush.

I had a sore throat on Friday, felt shitty on Saturday and tested positive on Sunday. Cold like symptoms on Monday and Tuesday but feeling better on Wednesday and pretty much bounced back to normal today. Got a very faint second line on my test but deffo still positive.

I think I got off lightly... Still got a bit of coughing/ sneezing but energy levels are back to normal.

Triple vaxxed and on day 3 here.
Day 1: copiously runny nose and light headed feeling , by the evening , fever and strong positive LFT
Day 2: Fever, copiously runny nose, chills, aches, pains, headache, bad cough, very flu-like
Day 3: Same as day 2. Fever still relentless. I'm so ill I can't even WFH.

No loss of taste or smell.

Day 3 here. I’m aching. Terrible sore throat. Runny nose. No energy. Walked from the sofa to the kitchen and just felt exhausted.

Day 4, voice has almost gone, lots of congestion, struggling to clear my chest. Feels like I'm not get much air when I breathe in. My husband has it too, but he seems much less affected than me.

It took me 4 days of symptoms before I tested positive. All other 3 family members had the same symptoms and tested positive before me. You name it, every possible symptom we’ve had it. Aches and pains, headaches, sore throats, coughing, pins and needles, streaming cold, shakes, hot and cold, tired, no energy, taste and smell barely there. My chest is bad at night but ok in the daytime.

Same! I started feeling awful on Saturday (REALLY runny nose, sneezing and itchy/sore throat). Tested negative. Felt worse on Sunday...tested negative!

I thought it must be the start of my hay fever, which is always bad...and I even posted a picture of the pollen count on my FB page saying 'Here Comes Hayfever Season' 🙌🏼

By Monday I had a throbbing headache and could barely get out of bed...still tested negative!! I rang in work (teacher) and told my head how I was feeling but that three tests said negative...she told me I needed to be in school, 5 staff were off with Covid and there was no supply available (plus it was parents evening Monday until 8 and Tuesday until 7 🤷‍♀️)

In I went, feeling crap...11 of my children off with Covid! I did both parents evenings feeling shocking (still testing negative Tuesday morning). Got home at 8pm Tuesday, did another test (by this time I was coughing badly and had no voice). Tested positive 🤷‍♀️

Day 2. Still waiting for pcr result but positive lft.

Coughing, sweaty, worst headache I've ever had and zero appetite.

When did everyone have their booster? Mine was December - think it's worn off.

My booster was December too.

Fever for 3 days, temp still a bit raised, but not nearly as high. Headache. Swollen glands. Dizzy. Periods of racing pulse. No cough. No congestion. Wouldn't have thought it was respiratory.

Does anyone else have a really terrible sore throat with it? It hurts so much just to swallow - worst sore throat I think I’ve ever had and lasted a good few days now

My Booster was mid November.

I seem to have found warm drinks are helpful

My sinuses are unbelievably painful. Yes to hot drinks!

Constant head ache, eyes feel sensitive and painful to move, runny nose, glands up all round my neck, tired and achey. Been feeling this way since Tuesday but only got a faint positive last night.

My booster was late December. DD tested positive in feb and we managed to avoid it then so I think it did its job then but has likely worn off now.
Day 3 for me. Don't feel too bad but just got a horrible cough that is causing me to have a sore throat and chest my chest hurts. If it wasn't for that, I'd be ok.

Triple vaxxed and tested positive 3 days ago. Symptoms started a week ago with headache on and off but tested negative then. 4 days ago symptoms started proper with feeling cold, joint pain, back ache, exhaustion, weird floaty/ dissociated feeling. Since then I have mouth ulcers, loss of appetite, lost smell and taste yesterday, runny nose and now ear ache. No cough though or temperature.

Does anyone feel like they need to blow out loads of snot but when you try nothing comes apart from warm damp air??

Sore throat, can't breathe, coughing, fucking knackered and hot as hell.

Got positive lft 3 days ago.

Im fully vaccinated so God knows what it would be like if I wasn't. I'm cev so I'm a bit scared to be honest. I know that's stupid.

Day 5 I think. Started with a bit of a sore throat and tired, then a very bad sore throat and very tired but still negative. Positive on day 3 which was horrible, throwing up all morning, fever all afternoon and the worst headache I've ever had. Yesterday and today though it's just like a bad cold with extra exhaustion.

Booster was in December and I'm 19 weeks pregnant, though not sure if that makes any difference beyond looking longingly at the proper cold medicine while I take my paracetamol and hot honey and lemon!

@IncompleteSenten no it’s not stupid. I have asthma and ME and I am worried now with Covid.

I feel like it has moved into my chest today. I am really mucus-y and coughing a lot. Today is the first day of a positive lateral flow, a full week after symptoms started.

I tested positive today after being in pretty much constant close contact with DD who tested positive on 10/3 and DP who tested positive 21/3.

I've had v v mild symptoms (slight sore throat and glands, slight runny nose, bit more tired and grumpy than usual, some weird shooting pains in various places) on and off for well over a week but was testing negative until this morning. I'm sure I was brewing it/trying to fight it off.

Feel pretty much the same today. Fatigue/grogginess maybe a bit worse. I've been pretty much trapped at home with sick people for over 2 weeks and now I'm looking at another week :(

DD10 had temperature, headache, changed taste and was very quiet for about 4 days then good as new.

DP has had symptoms of a heavy cold plus bad body aches but no temperature. Seems to be feeling a bit better today...
