Mine is insomnia. I am so very tired (as expected) but I can't sleep.

What other delights have people had?

I was lucky that when I had covid I was just a bit snotty.

However ketchup tasted like blood! It's gone back to normal now.

Cheesechips · 23/04/2022 08:54

Vinegar smelt and tasted like rotten acid to me. Haven't been able to touch it since.

Haven't read the whole thread some of these are familiar (sore throat, fatigue) but I was also really horny! Possibly just me then.

🤣

lotsofjellytotz · 23/04/2022 14:49

Anyone else have ringing in their ears?
Head feels extra heavy today and my ears feel like I've been standing next to a really loud speaker for hours.

Realitea · 23/04/2022 17:27

I’ve got the same @lotsofjellytotz - it’s horrible. Along with feeling very tired all the time. It’s still quite early days for me though three weeks in

Oh it's horrible. I'm day 5 currently, woke up feeling great this morning but rapidly gone downhill.

Treaclepie19 · 23/04/2022 21:05

Please can someone tell me they have had covid tongue and it's gone away... it's driving me mad 😅
Still testing positive today (faintly) tested positive Sunday but been ill since last Friday.

Robinni · 23/04/2022 22:34

Went out for the first time today post covid and I appear to be swollen all over… excess fluid?

It’s really odd. Still nauseous, no appetite, tired and achey. 3wks in.

Can't say having sex with someone with covid would be a turn on! What does your DP think? 🤣

Sad to hear so many are suffering, it isn't easy.

I've had what the doc thinks is a relapse, just over two months after getting it. I have been quite unwell although not hospitalised. At my worst I couldn't even go on my phone i felt so weak. Whilst feeling better now my breathing hasn't recovered. Am being followed up by the doctor who is the most attentive and concerned I've ever seen him to be.

Poor you @Finallygotme - that sounds really worrying. Take care 💐
It's a bugger of a virus 🙁

CarryonCovid · 24/04/2022 04:25

I obviosly didn't inflict it on him, i was isolating in another room. I think I was very bored and not too unwell.

Wat2do222 · 25/04/2022 11:49

Ok I have skim read the thread and cannot see anyone else with this random...I can't seem to be able to yawn at the moment? 😳

As in you can't take a deep enough breath to yawn?

Wat2do222 · 25/04/2022 12:28

@petesdragonelliot my breath is ever so slightly short but my ears are really blocked and when I try to yawn my body doesn't seem to be following up with reflex to yawn (the sort of auto big inhale) I realise this sounds nuts btw! Imagine trying to fake yawn if that makes sense? Am on day 5 since pos test

DoraSpenlow · 25/04/2022 14:11

For about three days the inside of my nose felt like it was on fire. So painful.

TheGlitterati · 25/04/2022 14:36

@DoraSpenlow i had that too.

Fml1980 · 25/04/2022 19:55

Day 3 of covid and the back pain and pain in my knees are the worst.
Second to being hot and cold and stuffy nose with insomnia.

Buzzing legs and the skin on one hand went red raw and then peeled!

I’ve got buzzing legs too! At first I thought I must be cold and shivering but it does feel more like buzzing.

I’ve had health anxiety since menopause and isolating with covid is not good as my mind goes into overdrive.

TulipsGarden · 26/04/2022 06:56

I'm three weeks post and feel fine now, but my ears are still ringing and popping, and noises sound very shrill. Sometimes worse than others. Not much fun with a three year old! Watching videos on my phone is quite unpleasant too, I have to have them do quiet I can barely hear them or my ears vibrate and start hurting.

I really hope it goes soon!

Bubblemonkey · 26/04/2022 13:08

Has anyone else had a sore tongue? It’s felt like I’ve bitten it for about 3 days now.

Yeah and it's still sore and feels lumpy even now on day 12 (I think I'm on)

buzzwoodyandjessie · 26/04/2022 13:59

How long on average did the extreme fatigue take to go? I'm now day 7, been negative for the past 2 days and have said I'll go back into work tonight, thankfully only for a couple of hours, but I am exhausted. I could quite easily fall asleep sitting upright just now and I've never been one to do that.

AllYouCanEatBrestaurant · 26/04/2022 17:56

I've got a sneeze sensation, but I can't sneeze and it gets quite painful before disappearing.

Back ache, aching big toe and random weakness in joints.

Weird one is tooth ache in a tooth I had extracted about a month a go. Like phantom tooth pain 😅

I actually can't tell if I have the fatigue as it's ripped the kids to shreds and I haven't slept in a week or more now.

Robinni · 28/04/2022 11:26

Update!

day 1-9: cold like symptoms, snotty nose, headache, sore throat, but run down

day 10: dry cough, tested positive, horrific fatigue, nausea, insomnia, aches and pains.

day 25: lost half a stone, still nauseous and exhausted, palpitations….
heart rate and blood pressure massively increased so waiting to hear if have to go to a&e…. 😒😒😒

CHECK YOUR PULSE AND BLOOD PRESSURE… if you feel awful for weeks GET YOUR BLOODS DONE with GP.

GettingStuffed · 28/04/2022 13:04

I lost my appetite as did DH and mine's still not back properly. I'm also smelling things that aren't there so far the best have been freshly baked biscuits and liquorice
