Anyone else done now?

Know I'll get slated but I'm so past caring.

Anyone else just completely done with it now? Ran out of LFTs ages ago and I'll never do another again, wouldn't even go for a PCR now with symptoms tbh. I'd stay in until I felt better like I do with everything else and then crack on.

The only reason I wear masks in shops is because of people moaning if you don't. As soon as it's no longer required that'll be in the bin.

I actually took it really seriously the past two years and did everything we were supposed to. Triple jabbed etc etc... But I can't be arsed giving it anymore headspace now. I'm sick of hearing about it, sick of seeing it on the news, sick of people talking about it.

From today on I highly doubt I'll ever voluntarily think about Covid again, in a way that restricts anything I do anyway.

@justasking111

Before covid CEVW folks had to manage risk health-wise that hasn't changed
I am very anti restrictions and lockdown but these ignorant comment about the CEV are so annoying. It absolutely has changed! If there were approx 80,000 cases of seasonal flu or noro virus per day, there would be risk to me and people like me. As far as I am aware and - as I have been advised - other viruses are not currently that prevalent right now.

Obviously I don’t expect anyone to protect me, except me. I recognise society needs to function normally BUT the sheer number of cases means the health risk is hugely different post Covid. I wish people would stop demeaning the real health risks to a certain group of people.

Talking of jobs and the economy.

Here's a chance to boost it and offer employment opportunities.

Let's make our own masks and HEPA filters.

Win win. Mitigations that help keep people safe - reduce the risk of death or disability - and more jobs.

There's really no point. Although you could start your own mask factory if you really wanted to. Not sure who you'd be selling to though.

Flapjacker48 · 26/01/2022 09:24

@Tealightsandd Go on then, set up a mask and filter factory if you think there is such demand for it.

greenteafiend · 26/01/2022 09:50

Christ, Tealights, you really and truly are a stuck record.

The way omicron case figures are going wheeeeeee even in countries that ARE doing the bloody masks and ventilation (Germany has N95 masks as mandatory and I'm told they are obsessed with ventilation and hardly seem to close their windows) suggests that these measures do not make much different to the measles-like spreader that is omicon.

@greenteafiend

They do make a difference! DD with Covid puked in her mask yesterday, and mask caught it all. Was a bloody lifesaver for me SmileSmile

Greyhop · 26/01/2022 12:36

I’m sure masks work because I can contain my burp in one, and I can definitely tell if I’ve got bad breath.

lovesT · 03/02/2022 14:36

Yes I'm completely done with it. Happy never to think about it ever again. I've unfollowed news things on FB and can't talk to my mum about it because she goes on and on and I just don't want it taking up anymore of our lives.
