Anyone else done now?

Know I'll get slated but I'm so past caring.

Anyone else just completely done with it now? Ran out of LFTs ages ago and I'll never do another again, wouldn't even go for a PCR now with symptoms tbh. I'd stay in until I felt better like I do with everything else and then crack on.

The only reason I wear masks in shops is because of people moaning if you don't. As soon as it's no longer required that'll be in the bin.

I actually took it really seriously the past two years and did everything we were supposed to. Triple jabbed etc etc... But I can't be arsed giving it anymore headspace now. I'm sick of hearing about it, sick of seeing it on the news, sick of people talking about it.

From today on I highly doubt I'll ever voluntarily think about Covid again, in a way that restricts anything I do anyway.

Yep - I’m done.

wolfstarling · 21/01/2022 19:36

Yup

ttcstinks · 21/01/2022 19:37

Yep I was done a long time ago OP

KeepingAnOpenMind · 21/01/2022 19:38

Yes. Covid is over.
How I wish that covid cultists gave as much concern to the escalating cancer diagnoses and deaths.

Isthatthebestyoucando · 21/01/2022 19:38

I am yes. Haven't had the booster either, I stopped after 2.

I don't thick Covid is the same serious lung condition that it was.

LawnFever · 21/01/2022 19:39

Totally agree, I’m 100% done now.

VeryMuchSo13 · 21/01/2022 19:42

That's refreshing!

OP posts:
ttcstinks · 21/01/2022 19:43

@Isthatthebestyoucando same I think I'll have it but I'm no rush - I'm TTC and it messes with my periods and then I had a miscarriage so I'm very cautious about it

theshadeofgreen · 21/01/2022 19:43

Currently have it and definitely, totally, absolutely done.

secretllama · 21/01/2022 19:50

Yep!

MummyMe87 · 21/01/2022 19:51

I absolutely am done with it, although I won’t be throwing my masks away anytime soon, and will still test regularly. I work in a hospital and covid is pretty rife plus still flying round the schools. So definitely not over, but we’re getting there

Duchess379 · 21/01/2022 19:53

Wholeheartedly agree. How long are we going to carry on wearing masks, isolating, keeping kids off school, wfh?? How many more jabs will we need? At some stage we need to get on with it.

bumblefeline · 21/01/2022 19:53

Yep!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 21/01/2022 19:54

Been done a long time. I haven't done LFTs since I had Covid last August. I take no precautions against Covid. I'll wear a mask as it's a legal requirement until next week but then it's going. I'm really not bothered now. People can slate me all they want, I'm not bothered about that either.

joydivisionovengloves71 · 21/01/2022 19:54

Can't be doing with the constant daily update of case numbers! So they happened to have covid in the past 28 days, how many are actually dying of it?!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 21/01/2022 19:55

Haven't had the booster yet either, although I'm booked in next week but I'm getting it purely because I want to be able to travel to other countries.

User387598621 · 21/01/2022 19:55

Yes

KurtWilde · 21/01/2022 19:57

I've been done for ages, OP.

CoverYourselfInChocolateGlory · 21/01/2022 19:57

I'm very pro-vax and pro-masks and careful hygiene, but yes, I'm done letting it influence my life decisions. I'll of course be influenced by the data and what is happening and will always follow any guidelines, but me shutting myself away will at this point not make a blind bit of difference. I think masks are still sensible in certain places, but I will be fully living my life from now on.

Hearwego · 21/01/2022 20:01

I’ve noticed a change with the BBC news, when they report the cases and deaths for the last 24 hours. They now say, for example that there has been 300 deaths in the last 24 hours, but these not all these deaths were from covid, some were from other conditions.
Or something like that.
The BBC seems to have shifted how it reports covid deaths. Maybe to show people that covid isn’t as serious?

BettyfromBristol · 21/01/2022 20:02

No, not done here. Was diagnosed as CEV last week so will be doing my best to avoid people who simply don't care about me and the very many people in the same situation.

Lucky for you to be "done" with it though.

Wizzbangfizz · 21/01/2022 20:03

Yep totally agree with everything you have written 👏

Katie517 · 21/01/2022 20:04

I’ve been done since about May 2020! Glad people are finally catching up! They really need to stop reporting the “daily numbers” now.

Wizzbangfizz · 21/01/2022 20:04

But be warned OP it won't be long til the doom-mongers descend who thrive on unending restrictions and who to them we are "selfish murderers"...

UnicornsReal · 21/01/2022 20:06

I’ve noticed that. Also saw a debate earlier today about the mistake she’s r have been made in just following the ‘science’ which wasn’t very scientific anyway, whilst ignoring all the other factors at play. It’s like there has been a sea change suddenly. I don’t want the booster. I’m done with the endless talk of ‘jabs’, but want to travel.
