Are these clear positives? I just can’t believe it. My dd was shielding. We’ve been ultra careful with her. These are hers, we are now waiting on PCR

Thank you snow.

If PCR is positive, I’ll contact her team for advice

Hope your DD is still feeling ok, I don’t really understand what people mean by messy? Can someone explain?

Flossie44 · 30/12/2021 20:36

Tabitha - yes maybe. But no different to
Usual. Could they be false positives?

Wineloffa · 30/12/2021 20:39

If it’s any consolation my DS (aged 11) has an underlying health condition (auto immune), has had Covid twice and has sailed through each time x

Katie517 · 30/12/2021 20:39

Why do the tests look so messy and like they have been scratched and rubbed where the test line is?!

Lindy2 · 30/12/2021 20:40

There's clear lines but you have a lot of ink blurs and the lines seem grey not pink. Tests are usually much cleaner than that. It seems a little strange.

I think 3 tests all showing lines are likely to mean she has Covid but you do need a PCR to be sure.

If it is positive I hope she recovers quickly.

Littlebelina · 30/12/2021 20:41

I'd contact her team tomorrow op as 3 positive lft are unlikely to be wrong, it might be a while before you get a pcr result with high levels of testing going on and it's a Bank Holiday weekend coming up so consultants etc might be out. Just for your own piece of mind if nothing else. Fingers crossed it'll be mild for her.

Flossie44 · 30/12/2021 20:41

I’ve no idea why the tests were like this. Which has confused me too and I guess why I’m asking the question.

It looks like something spilt on them
AllThingsServeTheBeam · 30/12/2021 20:43

Jesus posters on here need to lay off on the lateral flow tests. Ffs. They were already in the ops house. She's not taken them off anyone else. Her daughter is CEV and she is obviously worried.

Hope she has it mild op x

shreddednips · 30/12/2021 20:43

They look positive OP, sending lots of love to you and your DD. I really hope she just gets a mild bout. The tests do look weird though, did they look normal out of the packet?

Summersdreaming · 30/12/2021 20:44

They look very odd.

Genuine question, why blur out the serial number?

shreddednips · 30/12/2021 20:44

Agreed. It's really cruel. I understand exactly why OP repeated the tests, especially as they look so strange!
OnceuponaRainbow18 · 30/12/2021 20:45

Has she had a vaccine?

Hoping she just has mild symptoms and it passed quickly. Lots of fluid and rest will help

Flossie44 · 30/12/2021 20:46

I was trying to keep them anonymous. We had written her name on them so we knew who’s were who’s.

I don’t understand why people are being so stern with me. I only asked because I was worried. I’m sorry.

OP posts:
Flossie44 · 30/12/2021 20:47

She’s double vaccinated and about to be due her third vaccine (3rd because immune suppressed)

OP posts:
Marynotsocontrary · 30/12/2021 20:47

Did you take the photos within the advised testing time period @Flossie44? Sometimes they can become 'messier' if left for a while. I've had it happen with a saliva rather than a nasal test. A line even showed up too at that late stage.

OnceuponaRainbow18 · 30/12/2021 20:47

@Flossie44

Please don’t apologise, you’ve no need to

BitterTits · 30/12/2021 20:48

Ignore the irrelevant shitty comments OP. Hope your DD is ok.

Flossie44 · 30/12/2021 20:48

The lines came up within the time frame advised on the test. But the photo taken after. Obviously as the tests were taken apart while waiting for PCR

OP posts:
AgathaMystery · 30/12/2021 20:48

If someone sent me that image I’d say it was photoshopped. Obvs you wouldn’t do that but I have never, ever seen tests with slanted lines etc. How very odd.

Missushbb · 30/12/2021 20:49

hope she is ok OP. another anecdote which you may be fed up hearing, but my DH is immune suppressed and he was ok with covid, i lost taste and smell he was milder, fingers crossed she will have a mild experience too. 🤞

Marynotsocontrary · 30/12/2021 20:49

Hope your daughter will be fine, sorry that you're so worried at the moment Flowers

Northernsoullover · 30/12/2021 20:49

My flow flowflex ones are very messy (but no line) my old style ones are much cleaner. Are these flowflex?

AgathaMystery · 30/12/2021 20:49

You took the tests apart?! Hmm what on Earth.
