So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

V jealous of those of you that have no symptoms. I've felt pretty grotty today. So tired!
Im usually really active so struggling with the complete loss of energy. I do seem to have found the strength however to polish off the remainder of our Christmas stocks. I I can see that isolation is not going to be good for my waistline!
DD1 (7) has also caught it but other than a sniffle seems completely fine. So strange how it affects everyone differently.

Frazzled2207 · 02/01/2022 20:15

Friend of mine got back skiing a few days ago and all four of the them, 45x2, 17 and 9, all pcr positive and not a single symptom between them.

Hope everyone feels better soon

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 20:16

I had a horrific headache earlier but it went with wine!Grin . Will see on tomorrow’s LFT. My PCR was negative on 30/12.

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 20:16

Horrible, not quite horrific.

Peanut82 · 02/01/2022 20:21

Just to top it all I'm now getting a cold sore Hmm
On the plus side I'm feeling better than I have done. Poured a glass of wine and can't sodding taste it!

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 20:25

Oh no @Peanut82!!

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 20:26

My sister gets cold sores. Zovirax used to help.

Peanut82 · 02/01/2022 20:28

I get them but not had one for a couple of years, my immune system must be on the floor.
I thought my smell had gone this morning but it reappeared, the taste has gone totally though 😥

Hi everyone.
I had my booster 3wks before starting with symptoms on boxing day, confirmed by PCR the next day (daughter positive on christmas morning, the whole household of 5 positive by 28th!)
So day 7 for me. I know there are still another 3 days until the end of my isolation period but I'm starting to feel really fed up and I'm not seeing any improvement in how I'm feeling at all. I've had sore throat, headache that won't ease with paracetamol, achey all over, exhausted, nausea in and off, sinus pain, runny nose, slight cough and aggravated asthma. All pretty unpleasant but in no way feeling worryingly unwell just very much hoping it stays that way! Sad I've started feeling dizzy today and having ear pains too. Horrid.

For those interested I had 2xAZ vaccines and pfizer booster. Oh and I'm 40 and fed up!

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 20:35

Symptom free DH has 2 x Modern and a Pfizer booster.
@Anawi are you LFT negative yet as you’re day 7?

Daisychainsandglitter · 02/01/2022 20:35

Glad you are feeling better @Peanut82 bit sorry to hear you have a cold sore and can't taste your wine. Covid is the gift that keeps on giving!

It really is! I can cope with anything but please don't take the taste of wine away 😂

I really don't want to lose my taste! I've got a slight cough now but not very often. Ds' day 8 LFT was a bit more faint today. Dh still negative.

Anawi · 02/01/2022 20:47

Nope, not even close sadly Sad still a strong line that appeared quickly. Not unsurprising whilst I'm still feeling fairly unwell though I suppose. My 11yr daughter is feeling well, maybe just a bit tired and it's day 8 for her, her LFT was weaker today but very much still positive so that's her in for the full 10 days.

I worry lots of people will say they're negative on days 6 and 7 even of theyre not and go out still infectious.

User72614643 · 02/01/2022 21:04

29th Jan - Pfizer
16th April - Pfizer
16th Oct - Pfizer

And now positive! I feel awful! Body aches everywhere, dry occasional cough, tight chest. I'm 32 and CEV. Not sure what to expect going forward.

Peanut82 · 03/01/2022 07:37

Morning!
Day 8 for me, feel perfectly fine just a stuffy nose now. DD6 still not got symptoms which I'm glad about, DP still not showing symptoms despite positive PCR.
Today I'm going to give my house a big clean and de clutter, anything to pass the time 😂

Day 6 here and day 7 by symptoms for dh. He's had two strong positive ltfs and was quite shocked and fed up as he was convinced he'd be ok for work tomorrow
I'm rationing the remaining ltfs now as think we will need more than we thought if any chance of dh getting back to work and dd to school by end of week
I'm nhs and our policy is the 10 days still but would love to go out for a walk on Wednesday which would be day 8
Feel pretty much back to normal now just a few minor aches and tongue still feels a bit swollen . Cough has pretty much gone now.
I'm 44 .

Benjispruce5 · 03/01/2022 09:43

I’m still negative which I can’t believe as DH is now day 5 and we are sharing a bed. He says he’s had a headache a couple of times in the night and felt a bit hot but he’s fine now.

My dh is still negative despite it being day 9 for ds and day 6 for dd and I. We've also been sharing a bed and I've even managed to get a few hugs, he won't kiss me though Grin
Benjispruce5 · 03/01/2022 10:04

@WreckTangled Same!! Grin

Benjispruce5 · 03/01/2022 10:07

I do sleep by the window and we’ve had it open every night plus we’re opening doors downstream every hour or so to change the air. Mind you it’s turning chilly again now after that mild spell. I have one DD17 who stays well away and masks up when coming downstairs and another home from uni(21) who is so used to being around Covid she has to be reminded to keep a bit of distance. They haven’t tested yet today but negative yesterday.

Hawaiiinthemorning · 03/01/2022 16:47

Has anyone come across itchy eyes as a symptom? This is so weird, I’ve had a positive lft then 3 negative ones than another faint positive today.

Benjispruce5 · 03/01/2022 16:57

Interesting. DH positive, I’m not. Last night we both said our eyes felt funny, like they felt fat when we blinked. Hard to know if you’re imagining things.

PurpleVivo · 03/01/2022 17:29

I on on my third bout of Covid and triple jabbed with Pfizer. Had it first in March 2020 before testing was brought out but as work for the NHS antibodies were positive in August 2020 in a routine covid antibodies blood test. Then tested positive on a PCR at the end of November after my son showed symptoms and I had breathlessness and a very slight cough. That was the only symptom I had though and felt well enough to decorate the living room etc. Tested positive again on the 28th Dec after getting a cough and high temp. Ds (8) had a high temp that resulted in hallucinations on Christmas night (happened the first time he had COVID) which made us immediately take him for a PCR! So this time around ds tested positive for covid first, then me the day after. Dh tested positive a few days ago but dd (6) seems to have dodged it! This time round feel like I’ve been hit by a train. Literally all I could do to move from bed to the sofa the first few days. Now on day 9 and still feeling short of breath, coughing and exhausted. I’m normally fit and well with no underlying issues so having it like this has been a shock to the system! I can only think that my immune system is shot after having it twice in a month 😳
