So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

@Benjispruce5

Sounds like you have more of the classic symptoms *@Plantsandpuddlesuits*. DH is pretty much his normal self. He is quite fit but a about 6 weeks ago he had a chest infection, negative PCR etc but it really knocked him. I guess it’s like any respiratory infection in that some get it mild and some get pneumonia!
Thats a good way of thinking about it.

I wonder if I've got delta instead of omicron?! Not that it matters!

girlsyearapart · 02/01/2022 12:22

Did anyone post a pcr test yesterday at a priority postbox ?
I sent dd14 to post mine after a positive lft

I’d been sent a priority pcr test to use just in case as I’m cev so will get anti viral meds but I’m sceptical about it being collected and have visions of nothing happening…

Peanut82 · 02/01/2022 12:26

@Benjispruce5 When symptoms first started last Sunday it was like a cold, tested every day and got a positive lateral on Wednesday and positive pcr Friday.
It's only 3 more days but I feel like im climbing the walls! I've got no symptoms now apart from occasional light headedness

Those trying to book a pcr, please keep trying. I tried initially for a walk in but no joy, 2 days later it said 89 appointments were available. You need to keep checking

user1471550643 · 02/01/2022 14:01

Day 8 Still positive.. looks like I will be doing a full 10 day isolation.

HighlandCowbag · 02/01/2022 14:12

Well after saying yesterday morning dd was negative, she tested positive on an lft yesterday afternoon. Plus ds is snotty and hoarse and coughing so both been for pcrs this morning. Ds still testing negative on lfts this morning tho which I find strange as he's the only one unvax'd due to his age.

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 14:36

@HighlandCowbag he may have had it before albeit asymptomatic.
@Peanut82 maybe it was just a cold, not Covid.

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 14:36

I guess it’s possible to have a cold and asymptomatic Covid. ?

WreckTangled · 02/01/2022 14:42

Dd was still testing negative on lft the day she had a sore throat, vomiting and fever of 39°. The following day she had a very faint line, we knew it was Covid though as it was already in the house.

Peanut82 · 02/01/2022 15:16

Test and trace said to go by the date I got symptoms, that was 7 days ago now. I'll stay in isolation until I get 2 negatives after that I'm done

@Jobseeker19

Almost every one that I know that has had booster has come down with covid. Myself included. I really think the jabs are not protecting against the new variant.
I have avoided despite my family having it first half December and I was only one with booster. Anedoctal evidence to balance up yours.

The boosters are doing a good job for approx 8 weeks as far as the stats show. After that it wanes.

girlsyearapart · 02/01/2022 16:06

My pcr just came back positive I had my booster beginning of October
All 4 kids were positive at October half term and I didn’t catch it then

5128gap · 02/01/2022 16:16

@Cocothebear

Anyone else keep getting waves of nausea?
Not personally and am on day 7 now with symptoms so mild id have overlooked them if not looking out for them. But (positive) people I know who had AZ then Pfizer booster have had this and V&D too. Triple Pfizer jabbed people i know have all had much milder symptoms.
girlsyearapart · 02/01/2022 16:59

I’ve been feeling nauseous too. ( 2 x AZ then 1 x Pfizer)

Kerzel · 02/01/2022 17:11

TitoMojito · 02/01/2022 17:20

Joining you all Sad I'm not too bad but I do feel pretty crappy.

TitoMojito · 02/01/2022 17:22

@Cocothebear not this time around but I had COVID in March 2020 and I was nauseous for three days straight before eventually being sick. It felt like car sickness that never let up.

Peanut82 · 02/01/2022 17:33

@Kerzel

I tested positive yesterday on PCR and have no symptoms. Like nada!
My dp is the same, not a single symptom

Hi everyone
This is dragging on for me. I tested positive on 16 Dec and as I live on my own my Christmas was a washout. I wasn’t feeling like doing anything anyway though. It started with a sore throat and shivers. Then headache, aching limbs and extreme tiredness. Finally left the house for a little walk on Boxing Day, and all I’ve done since then is a couple more short walks, each of which has knocked me out. It’s two weeks now and I’m still feeling very ropey.
So I’ve mostly been on the sofa with podcasts/ radio.
I’m supposed to go back to work on Tuesday but don’t see how I can if I still feel as exhausted and headachey as I do now.
I’m 59, vaxed and boosted.

Scoleah · 02/01/2022 20:04

Me & husband got jabbed 27th, felt like we needed to clear our throats now & again on 28th but thought it was after effects of Jab. Tested just incase & was positive on Rapid 28th, confirmed LFT 29th.
Have had no Symptoms apart from needing to clear throat day after jab!

Scoleah · 02/01/2022 20:07

Confirmed PCR not LFT doh!
