So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

Interesting. DH positive, I’m not. Last night we both said our eyes felt funny, like they felt fat when we blinked. Hard to know if you’re imagining things.
Fat eyes! Yes! Like they're bulging from the inside. Also some blurry vision.

Can I join. I've tested positive on a lft today and awaiting pcr results. First LFT this morning was faint, did another 4 hours later and it was very strong (did a second as I have had a number of faint fake positives previously)

So far feel a bit woozy, headachy, achy limbs and a weird sensation in nose and throat.

nopenottodaysatan · 04/01/2022 16:07

Hi all, another one wanting to join the thread.
I tested positive yesterday on Lft....waiting on the arrival of pcr but i kno iv defo got covid. Started with a sore throat and tiredness, today im very fatigued, temp and slightly chesty, paracetamol are helping.
Im pretty anxious tbh, lone mum so worried about the kids, im relatively healthy n boosted so really hoping things wont worsen Confused
Hope everyone else is ok, such a variety of symptoms going on isnt there?

catwomandoo · 04/01/2022 17:52

@Benjispruce5 the tripe is especially good news indeed Grin

Mind you I think that uptake would be even lower if we had to eat tripe to avoid covid Wink

I had the weird sensation in throat and nose, a bit like when you've been in a night out when smoking was allowed in pubs and you wake up the next day having inhaled loads of shit.

Seems to have moved more into my head/nose now which I'm pleased about

Day 10 for me tomorrow. Feeling back to my normal self now

OP posts:
Benjispruce5 · 04/01/2022 22:03

That’s good op. I keep feels a raw feeling in my airways but it comes and goes and I’m still negative. Due back at work tomorrow and feel uneasy as I know others won’t be happy to have me around them but boss says I have to follow guidance.

user1471550643 · 04/01/2022 22:18

I didn’t manage to get any early clear lateral flow tests but lines are faint now and just feel a bit more tired than normal. At midnight tonight I have finished my 10 days isolation . I have warned my neighbours that if they hear anyone running up the road cheering at a minute past midnight it will be me!

WreckTangled · 05/01/2022 07:38

Happy freedom day OP.

I feel a bit sick this morning. Still got a headache honestly I think I've had it for about two weeks now.

cliffdiver · 05/01/2022 08:09

Day 6 for DD2 and I.

DD2 LFT negative, mine still very positive (but I suspect I'm a couple of days behind her as she had a much stronger positive on day zero).

We're both still coughing occasionally, but thankfully the breathlessness seems to have subsided.

DH had a positive LFT yesterday, booked in for a PCR this morning.

DD1 still negative on LFT.

LethargeMarg · 05/01/2022 11:10

Day 8 and the faintest line on ltf - thought it was negative for ages
Dd is negative on hers which is technically day 7 but she's had no symptoms - means if negative tomorrow she can go back to school Friday (wish I'd done hers first thing then could have retested before school tomorrow but assumed she would still be positive today ) hopeful I may be free Friday if I take an ltf first thing tomorrow and it's negative
Was a really strong positive yesterday so it bodes well based on how faint line is today

Peanut82 · 05/01/2022 21:46

Well todays day 10 and it's been a long week 😂
Rang work earlier to tell them I'm ready to go back, I'm actually looking forward to going to work again

I can't wait to go back to work. Been off now since Boxing Day.

We keep getting emails/texts for emergency overtime before it's so ridiculously busy. Feeling very useless sat at home.

Benjispruce5 · 06/01/2022 07:39

DH back today on day 8 after negative on late day 6 & 7. Good tip- test at night 24hrs apart then better chance of negative than am as longer time to get rid of the virus. He tested am on day 7 and was positive, at 22.30 he was negative. Day 8 at 22.30 negative so today he is free!
The rest of us still negative too. I’m thinking I won’t get it now ??

Exhausteddog · 06/01/2022 10:25

I'm on day 6. The day I tested just woke up with a sore throat but developed into a cold fairly quickly that day. Had a couple of days of feeling rubbish (sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, headache, croaky voice but not really coughing) then felt better day 4 and 5 although my voice sounded kind of coldy/nasally IYSWIM)
Today day 6 - feel snotty again and LFT came strongly positive immediately.

WreckTangled · 06/01/2022 10:48

Day 9 from positive lft/symptoms (day 8 of isolation) dds lft is very very faint. Mine is more clear but not as strong as the control line so must be on the way out at least

hereiamagain07 · 06/01/2022 10:53

Day 6 for me, very strong positive still.

Peanut82 · 06/01/2022 11:27

@Benjispruce5 I would have thought you'd have caught it by now if you were going to but it's not impossible.
All negative in our house now thank god, life can go back to normal.
I thought I'd quite enjoy being at home for 10 days, I was wrong 😂

I thought I would enjoy it too!

I personally know two people who've tested positive after their partner had finished their isolation period. Hoping dh isn't going to.

LethargeMarg · 06/01/2022 11:49

My day 9 ltf is a strong positive after a really faint one yesterday so fed up
Don't know if it's cos tested first thing or what but was convinced it would be negative 🙁
Looks like it'll be the full ten days for me dh and dd are negative so I must be a day or two behind them

WhatFreshHellisCismas · 06/01/2022 13:34

Sigh. Can I join please? Three jabs. Sore throat. On/off temperature. Cold type symptoms.

Hard to tell when I started as have had a cold for ages! Lft positive yday and waiting on pcr

Bettyboopsboop · 06/01/2022 13:57

Hope everyone is OK. It's my day 2, I had my pcr result back as positive today. Still have an on/off sore throat, aching, chills/shakes at times and generally feeling a bit rough. Husband tested positive on a lft today so has been for a pcr.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 06/01/2022 15:07

Day 11 here and finally feeling almost normal again 😱

Exhausteddog · 06/01/2022 16:08

Urgh just had an email from a client (who I told I would be back at work on Monday) giving me some work (which was fine) and sort of asking how I was. I said I had tested positive today (day 6) so wouldn't get an early pass for tomorrow and they replied "I thought it was only 7 days now?" Followed by a thinking face emoji.....
Translated as, why will you not be back tomorrow you lazy cow?

I think lots of people will be wrongly assuming this. I had a call from dds school asking why she wasn't in today as it was day 8. Umm yes but she tested positive today and I a) already told them she likely wouldn't be in until Monday and b) uploaded her positive lft's to their own database as requested.
