Just posting for some sympathy and a bit of a rant really. Whole family did LFTs today before seeing family tomorrow and mine is positive. I've booked a PCR for 9am tomorrow morning but that's our Christmas ruined. Fuck
I'm triple jabbed and have had Covid before, had it in April 2020 before there was community testing available.
I suspect I got it at the pantomime I went to earlier in the week but who really knows

Another one in same situation OP. My son was going to spend first Christmas at grandparents but we’re having to stay. Both partner and baby not feeling the best so we’re going for a relaxing Christmas in our PJs.

Same here got my booster yesterday then got a message saying I had a close contact Monday so I tested and it was positive 😌

Literally no symptoms I just feel like I've had booster jab

Oh hell, I just took an LFT and it’s positive : what a wonderful present for Christmas morning 🙄 We were having a quiet one anyway as my son is also positive but this means our plans for his release from quarantine on 28th are truly scuppered! Bugger. Oh well, at least I bought a big bottle of Baileys yesterday. That’ll do me.

For anyone that is interested, my DMum LFT was a false positive. She has just got the results of the PCR (took at 11am yesterday, results back by 6am - thanks NHS!) and they were negative!

So sorry that not everyone had as good a news as us! Wishing everyone a happy a Christmas as you can in the circumstances

@Crazycatlady83 yes my friend had a positive lft last week closely followed by a negative pcr and multiple negative lft's

You are an utter UTTER disgrace to the NHS and I say that as someone that works frontline NHS, deals with seriously ill covid positive patients on a daily basis and has also had family die from Covid before vaccinations came in.
