When will there be any clarity on lockdown?

Just wondering when people think we should expect to have an announcement on the lockdown rumours?

I am really struggling to process all of the uncertainty at the moment. Trying my best to enjoy Christmas, my favourite time of year, But I just feel like I have no idea what's going on or what to expect!

Screens are like masks, I thought. They won't stop transmission but they give some protection which leads to less transmission.

In actual fact the screens could be more of a hindrance than a help as they impede air flow.

So do masks...I still worry I'll breathe in more virus particles in a mask.

But how do you square the screens with the office studies? If I worked in a shop, I'd feel better behind a screen.

Not if you wear a decent mask you won't. FFP2 or FFP3 masks will offer you the best protection.

The office studies were conducted with colds and flu in mind, which are spread by droplets. Covid is airborne, like measles.

I must admit, I thought Covid spread by droplets as well as being airborne. It kind of does...aerosol transmission still listed by WHO and CDC?

Sajid Javid was on Andrew Marr this morning and I'm sure I heard him say at the beginning that he had some good news about Omicron, but then just went on to say that they're not ruling out anything at this time, including an imminent lockdown before Christmas. What was the good news? Or was I hearing things?

Did anyone see it?

I saw it but he never did say what the good news was as Andrew said we will come back to that later and didn't, probably ran out of time. He did say there was some good news near the start of the interview though

Bah!! Surely they could have squeeezed that in?!

They didn't return to Saj's good news on Marr and then he went on at him about the by election and the parties too!
