I found this clip really worrying too 😒

He's telling us how bad things could potentially get.... warning us to avoid unnecessary contacts, while at the same time Boris tells us to continue with Christmas plans and parties Confused

doublemonkey · 15/12/2021 23:13
@Octavia174 I don’t get it. Surely we develop some antibodies to it?
Off course we do. Anyone who's had covid will have T cell immunity.

FrazzledMCPremenopausalWoman · 15/12/2021 23:14

@Badabingbadabum "Of The Who"!! Not sure he's a real doctor Grin

My tired brain read it as Dr Who 😳

doublemonkey · 15/12/2021 23:18

@FreeBritnee

I can imagine the unvaccinated are shitting themselves right now.
I'm not scared of Omricon, but I am scared of the absolute madness that's infected everyone. Where is this going to end?

Boris has an agenda, Dr. Nabarro does not. I know which one I trust.

eh? why would they?

none of them

PoinsettaPrincess · 15/12/2021 23:28

Everyone just needs to do what they feel comfortable with. Our DS called tonight and said they’d prefer not to come for a family gathering we had planned after Christmas, that’s perfectly fine with us, if our other children feel the same that’s fine too, it’s a personal choice. Are we worried about the new strain? Yes, and we live very rurally. We’ll be drastically cutting our contact with anyone else except family, that’s our choice though. I just hope we don’t get the hoards of people feeling it’s their right to walk through our land! I do think we’re heading for another lockdown and we’re fine with that. We’ll hunker down and wait for it to pass as it always does.

Oh, we weren't playing a guessing game. I trust the doctor.

fine. I still trust none of them.

NMC2022 · 15/12/2021 23:33

@DayKay

Most people are getting it mild so try not to worry. Boost your immune system by taking vitamin d, zinc and eating lots of fresh fruit and veg. Get out for fresh air daily and stop watching the news (read the headlines only if you want to keep up to date) to keep your stress levels down.
Boost your immune system infuriates me. Not all of us have a functioning immune system, I could pour vitamins down every hour and it would do sweet FA
DayKay · 15/12/2021 23:34

They’ve all got an agenda. I don’t trust any of them.

PoinsettaPrincess · 15/12/2021 23:38

Oh, we weren't playing a guessing game. I trust the doctor.

I trust him over Boris any day. Many people are fed up over the full covid situation though. They refuse to look at the bigger picture and will do what the hell they like instead of following advice. As I said earlier it’s a personal choice, we aren’t selfish enough to ignore advice and perhaps spread a virus to someone who may be severely affected by it. Unfortunately many others are just out for themselves….

Indeed, @Lipsandlashes. Screw the poor and the young, eh? I’m just fine hunkered down in my scenic rural location. Angry

How the fuck do you make that one out?
PoinsettaPrincess · 15/12/2021 23:54

@Lipsandlashes

I do think we’re heading for another lockdown and we’re fine with that. We’ll hunker down and wait for it to pass as it always does. Spoken like a true Boomer. I’m going to guess you have no children in school. No mortgage to make payments on. A nice pension you’ll receive or if you’re still working, a job that can be done from home. Surely you aren’t blinkered enough to see that not everyone is willing and able to “hunker down and wait for it to pass”?
Wrong on all points. Don’t assume.
milkyaqua · 16/12/2021 00:04

You really find facts that threatening?

This man is speaking intensely, and carefully, and from the heart, because this oncoming crisis is so serious; he is trying to save human life.

How is that in anyway psychopathic? Good old mn denial and projection.

Oh a bitchy comment? Get yourself a life. No-one ever said screw the poor or the young. Read my posts again, or are you one of the pile on posters on here when you don’t agree with what someone posts? I’m happy to debate, however if you have nothing to debate don’t quote a small part of the post I made. Thank you.

@BingoLingFucker

I didn’t see angry shouting or intense tbh. I thought he was quite clear.

Vapeyvapevape · 16/12/2021 01:49

It is concerning, I see a man there giving a clear message and I think we should take heed.

milkyaqua · 16/12/2021 04:17

I thought he was enunciating very carefully to make sure his important message was clear to all.
