On a scale of 1-10?

I'm triple vaxxed but haven't had Covid yet (lucky me)!

I'd put myself on about a 5 anxiety wise for Delta, a 7/8 for Omicron.

Just don't know who or what to believe on infection risks...

@JanisMoplin

Are all of you very young and healthy? No middle aged buffers like me married to other middle aged buffers?

For me: Covid:6- 7
Restrictions: 10

I'm 41, my husband is 57 and has multiple serious health problems. We've both had it, pre vaccines, both had a cold.
DillDanding · 15/12/2021 18:07

About covid? Not at all.

About pubs closing or new year Holiday being cancelled - a little bit.

theworldsgonefeckingmad · 15/12/2021 18:07

I also had it in October so 0 for worried about Covid (wasn't worried before if that matters)

10 for the impact it will have on my kids if restrictions continue and also for their future the amount of tax that they will need to pay to cover all the bollocks associated with Covid

Indoctro · 15/12/2021 18:07

Covid - 0
Schools closing - 10

OrangeBananaFish · 15/12/2021 18:07

Same as a lot of others by the looks of it.

For Covid myself - 0 (had it in July and another PCR test today)
For Covid for vulnerable family members - 7
For restrictions coming back - 8
For Christmas getting cancelled - 10. I've been looking forward to this year for so long as its my first full Christmas and NY off for years.

Really hoping my PCR is negative. I've had negative lateral flow tests, but have a really bad cold and want to be safe than sorry so had a PCR today just in case all 3 LFTs are false negatives.

PhilCornwall1 · 15/12/2021 18:08

Covid - 0
Johnson being a prick - 10

HesterShaw1 · 15/12/2021 18:09

@portandchocolate

The arrogance on this thread is staggering.
See this is what I don't understand about posters like this and the relentless doom posters. What is their motivation? Because it looks very much as though they jump on every thread possible in an active effort to make other posters more worried, afraid, unhappy, anxious, even mentally ill and suicidal. Why do they want to do this?

Sorry should also add that I've never ever ever been worried about catching covid myself. Even at the start of it all.

If it matters I'm 42 and overweight, but not obese. Otherwise fit and healthy. Runner with no known underlying conditions eg Asthma etc.

fromdownwest · 15/12/2021 18:12

@BendicksBittermints4Breakfast - What a nonsense comparison.

Number 1 we have tried lockdowns and social distancing etc and we are still at the same place 2 years later.

Number 2 - A Heinkel He bomber dropping a bomb on my head had a pretty high chance of killing me, so yes I would have taken shelter. However, a virus with an extremely minimal chance of killing the majority of the population won't.

If you are terrified, crack on with lockdowns, and do not visit pubs, gigs, cafes, museums, sporting events. However, please do not force everyone else to forgo what in essence is the basis of a well balanced and healthy society - sociallsing.

New moto - if you are scared stay home, if you are not - crack on.

Delatron · 15/12/2021 18:12

I’m a middle aged buffer (45) as is DH. I feel better 2 days after positive PCR. Had muscle aches for one day and sore throat for a few hours.

DH has what can be described as a heavy cold.

Oblomov21 · 15/12/2021 18:12

I don't do anxiety. What's there to be worried about?

Dh does MH training at work. No point worrying about something that is outside your control.

Delatron · 15/12/2021 18:13

Norovirus in November however, now that was utterly horrific.

Chr1stmasCarole · 15/12/2021 18:13

Actually catching it? Maybe a 1.
People I love catching it/getting very ill maybe a 7.
Mass restrictions/school closures/lockdown again 6

If anything happens I'll deal with it, I just wish it was all over now.

RoseMartha · 15/12/2021 18:14

About 10. because if I am stuck in with the dc teens for ten days it will be very difficult. My eldest is has asd and is violent, particularly towards me as can not self regulate. Staying in will exuberate this.

If I get it, I wont be able to rest re SN teen wont be able to handle that. If SN teen gets it no one will be able to rest. And my neighbours will be banging on the door to complain.

As a bigger picture it will put more pressure on my sibling as I will not be able to help support my parents.

As even bigger picture I think a massive surge will make things generally awful for a lot of people. And pressure on nhs.

No jabs, no mask, no compliance.

twosticksandanapple · 15/12/2021 18:15

I am very worried about the impact on children. The evidence is saying that omicrom behaves more like RSV which can be quite serious for young children.

The data for Tshwane in S Africa is showing that over 90% of 0 to 4s are are being hospitalised becuase of covid not for other reasons.

babouchette · 15/12/2021 18:15

I'm about an 8. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and have had complications. Really just want to get through the rest of the pregnancy without Covid as well.

I am double jabbed but can't get a booster appt until 9 January Confused

JanisMoplin · 15/12/2021 18:16

@DynamiteFilledRadish Good to know! I definitely need more stories like these. DH is 53, Type 2 diabetic though not obese, Asian. A bad combination in the first lockdown. But we have done all we can vaccine and risk wise, so yes, no point worrying. ( but I still worry....)

Cherrytart23 · 15/12/2021 18:17

0 about catching covid.
10 for more restrictions/lockdown.

MrsJackWhicher · 15/12/2021 18:17

Woolandwonder · 15/12/2021 18:22

Worried about the NHS falling over-10
