How worried are you?

On a scale of 1-10?

I'm triple vaxxed but haven't had Covid yet (lucky me)!

I'd put myself on about a 5 anxiety wise for Delta, a 7/8 for Omicron.

Just don't know who or what to believe on infection risks...

I've never been worried

Agree, totally. I am old enough to take the Que Sera, Sera view, as long as I follow the advice given and have the jabs then getting worked up is pointless, I can't influence things. My immediate family have also followed the rules, probably better than me, been vaccinated too. People do seem to enjoy getting so worked up about what they can't influence as if those of us who don't are lesser people. My daughter was horrified when I casually told them about having to put a mirror under the car every morning to check for explosives then switching on the ignition with crossed fingers. I'm not trying to trivialise what's happening now on a global scale but things have been bad before, we'll get through it.
LuluBlakey1 · 15/12/2021 17:51

4 omicron
0 restrictions

fromdownwest · 15/12/2021 17:51

@ZittiEBuoni

0 for catching Covid because I had my booster a fortnight ago.

10 for a new lockdown potentially triggering a relapse of dd2's eating disorder.

People do not realise how these lockdowns impact people, it is cruel beyond belief.
SloeFox · 15/12/2021 17:52

Triple jabbed me and DH.

DCs under the age of vaccination. One is imuno-compromised , currently undergoing yet further investigations to try and find out what is going wrong with him- all we know is his immune system is loopy.

So worried about the DCs. very worried.

  1. For my mental health not covid itself.
BendicksBittermints4Breakfast · 15/12/2021 17:54

@fromdownwest

Covid: -10 Lockdown and erosion of civil liberties and the inabilty to think logically - 20 Risk of any other ailment - 10
In order the control the spread of this disease and its variants is some erosion of 'civil liberites' not worth accepting? At other times there has been an 'erosion of civil liberties' for the good of the majority, eg blackouts in WW2, they were doubtless a pain but because of that many lives were saved.
AllisoninWunderland · 15/12/2021 17:54

Covid - 0 (just had it, it was very mild).

Worry about my mental health, losing my freedoms and the divisions in society - 10.

CoffeeMuggins · 15/12/2021 17:54

I know how it works. The question asked was how worried you are about catching Covid. And I'm 0

I remember other posts from you regarding covid and you have been a 0 since the start pretty much. No surprises there.

I am worried about everything regarding Omicron, not just catching it. Things are going to hell again and it seems quite likely they are going to hell on a far grander scale than before even with vaccinations.

Tigerwhocameforsupper · 15/12/2021 17:55

I’m worried that one of my children or myself will get ill with something non covid related and the NHS won’t be able to help us.

tootyfruitypickle · 15/12/2021 17:55

About covid 0 for me (have had covid and it wasn't fun but wasn't awful either). 8 for my parents . 6 for restrictions

tootyfruitypickle · 15/12/2021 17:55

And 10 for schools closing

Waxonwaxoff0 · 15/12/2021 17:56

You're right, I've been a 0 from the start.
Itsbeenalongweek · 15/12/2021 17:56

COVID - 1 to 2. Am triple jabbed so hopefully if I do get it it won't affect me too badly.

Restrictions - at least 9. I work in an industry that was badly affected in previous lockdowns and unless there is financial help again, it'll be curtains I suspect.

catfunk · 15/12/2021 17:56

Getting Covid -2
Missing work, cancelling Xmas plans - 8

Spottybluepyjamas · 15/12/2021 17:59

Covid - 1 (currently have it and it's fine)
Restrictions - 10 (cannot believe that we have to isolate and miss out on so much for something which for most people, especially those boosted, is like a cold)

paranoidnamechanger · 15/12/2021 17:59

A 1 of 10 for me. I saw The Fear Factor for what it was early on and will crack in doing as I please regardless of what this shit show of a government try and implement.

discoland · 15/12/2021 18:00

Covid- 0 as I’ve just had it and it was like a mild cold.

I feel literally sick at the thought of home-schooling again.

DynamiteFilledRadish · 15/12/2021 18:01

@Yellow85

Just to say, isn’t it amazing how our views are so drastically different to that of 2020. We’d all have been a 10 for catching it.
Nope. I've been 0 since day one.
Lacedwithgrace · 15/12/2021 18:01
  1. More worried for others and NHS than me

Worried about Covid, 0

Worried about lockdowns, social restrictions, shutting schools, leisure centres, theatres, hospitality - all the things that make my life worth living - 10.

maryzx · 15/12/2021 18:03

@DynamiteFilledRadish Same here.

CaptaNoctem · 15/12/2021 18:03

I’m triple vaxxed and tested positive for Covid last week. I’ve been much more unwell with a simple cold. Isolation ended last night and I’m fine apart from an irritating cough but that’s getting better each day.

Daisy829 · 15/12/2021 18:04

0 of covid although being sensible for the next week or so as due to see grandparents on Xmas day.
More worried about schools shutting though. That would be crap.

52andblue · 15/12/2021 18:06

Re Omicron: 5

Re NHS being "overwhelmed' 8
(just had specialist overnight hospital assessment cancelled, plus 6m wait for emergency NHS dental surgery still ongoing re abcess in jawbone itself)

Re Johnson's / Govt incompetence: 10
