Who is going to a busy indoor place this weekend?

I am. To the pub. With colleagues for a meal. I work for the public sector so we don't have anything formal and I've shelled out £25 for my fold. Unless I change my mind. Or test positive on the lateral flow test I've agreed to do before going out.

Anyone else got plans and feeling weird.... For info I'm mid 30s, double jabbed in July....

DS and I both getting over horrible colds that were PCR negative so no plans this weekend. Thursday is the school Christmas concert and hoping that goes ahead.
I have decided not to go to my Christmas do because it’s lots of people I barely know and never see. We have tickets to see Santa and go for a meal with friends next weekend. Hoping that Christmas Eve drinks with another family and Christmas Day with grandparents can go ahead.
New Year was supposed to be 4 families so 20 people at ours and that is a bit up in the air at the moment. I am happy for it to go ahead if it’s allowed and everyone else is ok with it.
All the adults we see are treble jabbed now including us. DS and I have had Covid. I want to live life but prioritising things that I really want to do over risky activities that I’m not bothered about.

Boosters are definitely not pointless, the current data seems to be showing that they help, even against this variant. Get boosted everyone!

@IncessantNameChanger info I read yesterday was that if you have had 3 vaccinations you have 75% protection against serious illness - but it needs to be the 3 vax not 2 - so I would get your booster done as soon as you can

I really, really wish I was!

Since last Christmas I've become CEV so in many ways, for me this Christmas is worse than last year. Nothing was open last year and it was shit not being able to do anything. This year everything is open but I can't do any of it! I feel like a Victorian orphan with their nose pressed up against the toyshop window.

I would give almost anything to be going to me and DH's traditional pre-Christmas Smiths tribute gig next week, or to get dressed up and go for a meal and cocktails together as we usually would, or to our favourite bar all decked out for Christmas, or to the Crisis carol service on Tuesday which we go to every year (apart from last year, obvs).

To all of you out having festive fun over the coming days/weeks - have a brilliant time and have a drink for me!

Kids at school with positive cases. Kids party today. Nativity play next week. Supposed to go into work one day next week, so that’ll be tube and bus and office. Went to a concert this week, wore a mask during and ventilation was good. Am pushing myself to keep going with precautions because I am feeling so anxious and don’t want to give in and let my mental health crumble.

@StormzyinaTCup

Got a wedding to go to today involving both church service and then evening reception for approx 200 hundred people (I'm expecting lots of the usual hugging, close contact etc that goes with a wedding).If it had been in the Summer, or any other time this year, I wouldn't have given it a second thought but being so close to Christmas (after the disappointment of last year) is making me a bit wobbly that I will either catch it or get contacted by T&T and I have lots to do over next couple of weeks.
Just thought I would update on my post of last Friday to say I went to the Wedding on Saturday, it was lovely, bride looked stunning, food was delicious, a free bar and everyone full on enjoying themselves, however, the downside is I have been contacted by T&T this afternoon so now have to LF test for next 7 days. Have fingers crossed that I don’t record a positive result.
