I am. To the pub. With colleagues for a meal. I work for the public sector so we don't have anything formal and I've shelled out £25 for my fold. Unless I change my mind. Or test positive on the lateral flow test I've agreed to do before going out.

Anyone else got plans and feeling weird.... For info I'm mid 30s, double jabbed in July....

We’re still doing normal stuff like that

Just had booster and reckon I’ll get it at some point and prefer to keep socialising etc

ABitOfAShitShow · 10/12/2021 20:34

Me! Dinner with two friends in a busy London restaurant. Not feeling especially weird about it mind. We’d have to pay £75 if we cancelled.

Hellocatshome · 10/12/2021 20:35

DH is going with DS to a swimming gala. Spectator numbers have been limited, all spectators to wear masks and swimmers to wear masks apart from when swimming obviously. LFTs done tonight. I hope people stick to the rules and we don't end up with swimming galas cancelled again because people can't stick to some quite easy to follow rules.

Madness concert in Manchester. Double jabbed. Still going.

Montecristocount · 10/12/2021 20:36

Me. Just home from pub tea. Kids party tomorrow and Santa visit Sunday.

Porfre · 10/12/2021 20:37

Me.
Going to see a show.
Local youth theatre show

megustalacerveza · 10/12/2021 20:38

I've sadly cancelled my plans...it's just too close to Christmas. I live on my own so the isolation period (assuming it took a couple of days to start showing symptoms) would make it too late to get home and see my family. So gutted because I was looking forward to seeing friends, but it just isn't worth risking a lonely Christmas completely on my own.

If it weren't xmas and I weren't going home then I wouldn't have cancelled, no. I'm triple jabbed and at this point have accepted I need to get on with life as best I can.

TempsPerdu · 10/12/2021 20:39

Me - children’s party tomorrow and Christingle service on Sunday. Theatre trip booked for next weekend.

Just carrying on as normal.

LubaLuca · 10/12/2021 20:40

Me. I'm going out for dinner tomorrow night, and an indoor sports final on Sunday. I went to the theatre on Wednesday evening.

frizzyandfrazzled · 10/12/2021 20:41

Sounds like most people are carrying on. 🙂 I guess I don't know if they option of the pub is gonna be around in a few weeks so should make the most of it.

Me. I'm double jabbed and already had covid once. If there is another lockdown then I'll have to follow the rules, but I won't voluntarily cancel any plans.

secretllama · 10/12/2021 20:44

Yep, Christmas meal in town with friends, can't wait 😊

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 10/12/2021 20:45

We're going to the panto tomorrow night

Waxonwaxoff0 · 10/12/2021 20:45

Me. I'm not scared of any variant of Covid and I'm not going anywhere for Christmas so not bothered about isolating should I catch it. I had Delta in August, was just a cold for me and reports are saying Omicron is milder.

BarefootHippieChick · 10/12/2021 20:46

Out for family dinner and drinks this weekend so not a huge crowd, but went to a club night last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it.

bizzey · 10/12/2021 20:47

Me !
DS is coming to visit for the weekend with a suprise booking for my birthday to the cinema and then catch the 2 for 1 offer on cocktails in the pub !

( Though I think he might need a proper pint after sitting through 2 and a half hours of West Side Story !😁😁)

FindingMeno · 10/12/2021 20:48

Me.
The vaccination Centre.

BarefootHippieChick · 10/12/2021 20:48

Just to add, I also have kids in school which is a bigger risk of catching it than any pub or restaurant imo

SpringRainbow · 10/12/2021 20:48

My youngest has a Christmas party to go to at the weekend, although I think DH is taking them.

We then plan to go out as a family afterwards.

Covid is here to stay, I can’t handle or justify putting out lives on hold. Especially when it’s unlikely that things will ever dramatically improve.

If we can do it, then we will. My DH and I are as ‘protected’ as we can be.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/12/2021 20:49

Me. Going out to a pub for a meal tomorrow night. I'm not anxious about covid at all. Triple jabbed and already had it. Also worked all the way through. My parents are super anxious, and have uninvited me for Christmas (they know I'll be on my own. ) Incase we have to isolate for my sisters wedding.

MondeoFan · 10/12/2021 20:49

Yes going to see Frozen the musical tomorrow night in London - I have to wear a mask but I'm ok with that. Just me and 6 year old daughter

Yesthatscorrect · 10/12/2021 20:51

Me. Work Christmas meal and drinks tomorrow in an extremely busy Newcastle City centre. Can't wait.

Triple jabbed as is everyone attending. On Sunday we go to a family Christmas party with 17 people. Lovely. Let's live our lives.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 10/12/2021 20:53

Having a party at our house. All attendees have had it relatively recently because we're all key workers.

MrsSkylerWhite · 10/12/2021 20:54

Honestly, in your 30s, healthy and double jabbed, I would too.

As it is, we’re in our late 50s and early (he insists, I say mid 🤣) 60s, we won’t be doing anything like that. We’re both double jabbed and boosted but as he’s CEV, seeing our adult children and one very young g grandchild this Christmas season is as racey as it will get.

And (grammar 😱) that’s fine by us. Lots of much younger people gave up so much for older, CEV and otherwise compromised people these past nearly two years now. We’re very happy to live a quiet life and keep to ourselves outside of essential interactions for the next few months to give them a few more freedoms.

CouldThisReallyBe · 10/12/2021 20:55

Carrying on as normal, double jabbed, had booster and had Covid (Delta) a month ago. I have to say that for the first time in nearly two years I do actually feel a little apprehensive about it....but only because I don't want to be the reason that Christmas is cancelled for 7 other people.
