Whitty
Vallance
Johnson
I wonder what they’ll say.
minitree · 08/12/2021 18:06
@EnnAndJay wondering when you'd arrive
EnnAndJay · 08/12/2021 18:06
@PrincessNutNuts That's why I predict Christmas Eve - the sweet spot between shopping and mixing.
PurpleDaisies · 08/12/2021 18:07
Restrictions and lockdown aren’t the same.
wincarwoo · 08/12/2021 18:07
They need to up the capacity of hospitals to deal with it. And force vaccines.
Enough of this shit.
hotfroth · 08/12/2021 18:07
On now
PurpleDaisies · 08/12/2021 18:07
They need to up the capacity of hospitals to deal with it.
How? Where are the staff coming from?
rrhuth · 08/12/2021 18:08
@wincarwoo
Enough of this shit.
How?

Iheartmydog · 08/12/2021 18:08
I live in wales and our large office is open and we are all expected in. It’s guidance not law and our managers are ignoring it as are many other places I know.
PurpleDaisies · 08/12/2021 18:08
Plan B officially on
Cyrilgoggin · 08/12/2021 18:08
But why would anyone want a lockdown? Don't people want to live normal lives any more?
Some restrictions are inevitable but no-one in their right minds could possibly support a lockdown and the emotional and financial fallout it would bring. It would be madness and I genuinely can't understand why anyone would actively want it.
Florelei · 08/12/2021 18:09
I can’t cope with this
EnnAndJay · 08/12/2021 18:09
@Cyrilgoggin

Because we care about others.
LostForIdeas · 08/12/2021 18:09
What’s plan B?
Working from home?
Waxonwaxoff0 · 08/12/2021 18:09
I wonder if it will be back to isolating as a close contact regardless of vaccine status?
DottyHarmer · 08/12/2021 18:09
Who wants a lockdown? Well, one or two posters on here have been gagging for one for months. Christmas came early for them with the Omicron variant.
I don’t care if Boris had a party. Hypocritical, of course, but even if he’d have had ten parties I wouldn’t have had one. Boris and the govt are not responsible nor do they have any effect on the virus. It is a worldwide problem. It is so terrible that I think that people focus on some small domestic shit to avoid facing the fact that this whole thing is disastrous. For all we know Putin or Macron or Biden or Trump had parties. It just doesn’t make any difference.
LittlestLightOnTheXmasTree · 08/12/2021 18:10
Working from home has never stopped so must be more than that
PurpleDaisies · 08/12/2021 18:10
Work from home if you can
Masks extended
Nhs covid pass mandatory for certain large events
Boosters not needed
LFT sufficient for covid pass
boosters not needed for covid pass-two jabs sufficient
[Edited by MNHQ at poster's request]
Waxonwaxoff0 · 08/12/2021 18:10
@EnnAndJay only caring about others when it comes to Covid is not "caring about others."
julieca · 08/12/2021 18:11
@DottyHarmer that is such vile language.
PurpleDaisies · 08/12/2021 18:11
@Waxonwaxoff0
Just said daily contact testing instead of isolation for omicron
Krakenchorus · 08/12/2021 18:11
No one will pay any mind to restrictions that Boris puts in place. He does not expect himself or his cronies to follow the rules, so no one else will feel obligated.
AlecTrevelyan006 · 08/12/2021 18:11
Urgent from next week
Cyrilgoggin · 08/12/2021 18:12
EnnandJay I care about others. Like my colleagues in the hospitality and tourism industries who have seen their businesses decimated. I've seen the toll on their emotional health and the worry over finances. I care very deeply.
Booklover3 · 08/12/2021 18:12
Boosters not needed?
rrhuth · 08/12/2021 18:12

No one wants this to be happening. The fact some of it can be seen coming doesn't mean it is welcome. Omicron is a really shit development. Plan B potentially isn't close to enough.
