Anyone else fancy a grouch at having Covid? I’m a few days in, feeling like crap and fed up with the world in general.

Tea and sympathy to anyone in a similar position?

Day 6 and I'm fed up and impatient with not really improving, which is crazy I know. Smell and taste have definitely gone, I stuck my deodorant stick right up to my nose and couldn't smell a thing. In the grand scheme of things I think I've probably got off lightly but my nose is so sore and congested however when I blow there's very little reward. I'm also tired but not tired, as in physically I just feel a sense of exhaustion but not sleepy, very weird.

That has been me too. I've not slept any more than usual - if anything, less I think. My partner however, he slept 18+ hours a day for the first week.

It's comforting to know we're not alone in how we feel. I guess the issue is not to confuse the end of isolation with the end of symptoms, they have absolutely nothing to do with one another. ❤️💐

Completely agree. I've made progress today in that I've lay in the sofa all afternoon instead of in bed. I think we have to remember to rest when we need to. DH is annoyingly ok though lol

Out of isolation but need to moan because I have added conjunctivitis AND diarrhoea to my list of ailments.

Not even feeling that much better from coronavirus TBH. Feels never ending.

Can I join in the moan please.
On day 6, and feeling really down in the dumps. me and dp both positive, while our 5 and 2 year old are both negative (they both had it 8 weeks ago). Trying to tag team looking after the kids whilst feeling like crap.

How long did it take everyone to get their taste / smell back?

@Rainydays55 First symptoms were 3 weeks ago. But lateral flows and PCR all negative. Then when it continued and got worse tested again and bingo! Cue proper isolation (I stayed in from the start anyway).
I just can't face another layer of illness, I feel like one of those people they show in old films who've been shipped off to the mountains for consumption.

Just to add, thought I was getting smell back a couple of days ago but it seems to have disappeared again. Actually quite useful considering the diarrhoea.

Had a bad nights sleep, utterly exhausted today - have pretty much laid on the sofa all day, snoozing between watching rubbish on tv

@yellowstoneranch that’s probably the best thing you can do though, don’t feel bad, that’s all I’ve done all week really is lie on the sofa , tried to tell myself it was slightly better than being in bed lol! As frustrating as it is I think rest is the best thing for our bodies.

I’m feeling a bit sad tonight that tomorrow is my last day of isolation and I’m just not feeling back to normal. Ridiculous isn’t it, I know I shouldn’t moan, I’m lucky that it’s been ‘mild’ but I sort of feel weirdly emotionally knackered and just a bit crappy about the whole thing! The floaty feeling is doing my head in , I’m tired and I’m worried I won’t feel like ‘me’ properly for ages! Sorry to moan, so many more people are doing absolutely amazing especially with small children, I just wanted to get it off my chest, I’m trying not to moan too much in real life!!
This is me! I feel really quite despondent. I’m on day 9 of isolation and although no longer have a temperature, I’m still wiped out both physically and emotionally.

On Day 16, feeling fine (no nap today!) and I thought taste and smell were back to normal … until I took a sip of my first glass of red wine for more than two weeks. It tastes of hardly anything Sad

All I did was sit on the sofa and watch telly. Didn't even nap. Napping sounds constructive. I watched so many box sets.

I've decided I'm going for a swim tomorrow. Which means going to the gym, sitting in the steam room (hoping to shift the blocked up feeling), then having a drift around in the pool.

This sounds really bizarre but has anyone had limbs that feel weird? Bit hard to describe. They feel sore of warm and weak I suppose. I do have a fever so may just be that. They just feel odd.

Definitely spoke too soon when I said I was asymptomatic yesterday morning!

I also really feel for everyone who's lost their sense of smell and/or taste. I always lose my sense of smell and taste even with very minor colds (haven't lost them with Covid yet though) and it's utterly depressing. I recently had terrible sinusitis and was miserable because I couldn't smell and taste.

@elliesmummy19 my back has stopped aching like hell but my shins hurt .... like the actual bone is aching. Not my joints, literally the shin bone - it's very weird but is that what you mean too?

@elliesmummy19 do you mean like floppy and no strength to do anything in your arms? So if someone lifted one up it would just flop down like a dead weight. I often have that weird feeling if I get a virus. Had it a bit this time, but not so much. I still have terrible ringing in my ear though!

I’m over two weeks in and the shortness of breath has only started in the last couple of days. My sats are fine but it’s horrible. I’ve woken up with a bad headache this morning and still generally feel like a wet rag.
