@thisisworsethananticipated I know, I don't know how anyone is ill with small children, it must the hardest thing ever.

Still feeling ok, just a bit dizzy with no sense of smell or taste. Managed to get some Christmas presents sorted today, and a load of work which had to be done by the end of the month. I'm definitely one of the lucky ones though I'm still nervous about going back to work and being in the go all day.

I've just ordered my favourite pizza and I know when it comes I'm going to be mega let down when I can't taste it!

I've got the rage today. Fed up of this now. Headache is back, I'm knackered. The house is a shit tip. I've watched 3 whole series of 'What We Do in the Shadows' and they've now run out, so meh.

I've waited three weeks for an appointment at the symptomatic breast clinic on Friday - husband is positive for Covid today and I'm waiting for my test results of the pcr. Not feeling entirely 100% but no usual covid symptoms. If negative I will have to go to the clinic alone.

Has anyone else got the most indescribably horrible soreness in their lower back, radiating down their bum? I’ve had it the whole way through but it calmed down a lot after the first few days. Now it’s back worse than ever and I could cry at how sore it is. What IS it? Is it my kidneys? Why else would it be so sore there? I feel like someone has kicked me hard on either side of my lower back.

@Andoffwego- that was the main symptom my partner warned me about, but I've not really had it as an issue over and above other aching bod bits.

Dh and I both had this. Ivd never seen it as a symptom anywhere. It’s horrible. Couldn’t get comfortable.

I'm on day 4 and feeling pretty ropey have pretty much all the symptoms everyone has here.
Those of you isolating with toddlers and young children hats off to you it must be so so hard when they are too little to understand

I'm the only positive so far in our family of six so feeling a bit lonely as I'm obviously trying to stay away as much as I can.

My blood oxygen levels have been quite low today so I'm keeping an eye on them.

Day 9 here, sense of smell has started to return. Just left with a snotty nose, cough and pain between shoulder blades which isn’t improving and worrying me.

I'm the only one positive here and I agree....it is lonely as I am trying to stay away from others. And the days are very long!
I cant bear screens or bright rooms due to the headache making me sensitive to light so it's hard staying entertained too! I was determined to stay awake this eve in an effort to sleep tonight. I've tried audible and promptly fell asleep so that's going to bite me on the bum later!

Had an interesting night last night. Felt OK when I went to bed and fell asleep around 10pm. Sneezed myself awake at about 11pm and then continued to sneeze repeatedly through until about 6am this morning. This was accompanied by continuous nose blowing as my nose wouldn't stop running. It all eased off through the day but I can feel my nose starting to fill up again and there is a tingling feeling as though I am going to start sneezing again. I can't cope with another sleepless night. It's my last day of isolation tomorrow and I feel no where near well enough to be doing anything on Friday

Me and my daughter both have it. She has the most awful cough I have ever heard but is right as rain in herself. We're on day 9 and the cough is no better at all. Does anyone have any experience of covid with an 18 month old? How long did your kids have a cough for?

Had my first day back at work.so I'm too tired to go back through and tag the right people...

Asthma- Dd has a track record of ending up in hospital whenever she gets a cough or cold. She can go from a slightly drippy nose to blue light ambulance and 3 day hospital stay in a couple of hours. She had a v slight sore throat with covid and sailed through the whole experience. I've been v worried about her for the whole pandemic and she has been fine (thank god).

Back ache- yes it bloody hurts. I think it was round my kidneys.

My chest has been bad today. Parents and husband both said I sound horrible.

Im day 6 and light headed and still feel so tired.

Supposed to be out of isolation Monday so worried I cant go back to work, as dont feel great and cant see a change by Monday sure my boss is expecting me cracking on

My dh boss has just said this to him! Poor dh can't even lift his head off the pillow!

Another one worried about work. I work part time so not due back until Monday. I can do some of my work from home and that will be expected. I'm not really sure what happens next to be honest. Doctors note? Will they do that for covid?

Day five for me. I've not been too bad. Aches, nausea, cough and no smell or taste. But then this morning after trying to get a few things done in the house I had the worst coughing then vomiting fit that lasted a good hour and wiped me out. I think I overdid it. I'm feeling ok again this evening. Poor dh is awful. Can't even get out of bed, which hasn't been great with diarrhoea. He also has a temperature, headache and dizziness. But strangely no cough. He's on day 6 now. We've two dc at home but we are resigned to the fact they will come down with it over the next few days as they have health needs that I've had to deal with and youngest is autistic and still insists on being close by to me. It's going to be a long few weeks 😫

@morticiamarkle so you could have had the vaccine and chose not to? Wow. Are you not concerned that you could be more likely to spread Covid to the elderly and vulnerable? Not to mention the fact you’re more likely to take up an ICU bed in hospital.

Yeah let's not turn this thread into a bloody vaccine argument! It's a lovely supportive thread for those of us struggling whether vaccinated or not.

Had to end a work call today because I coughed to the point of throwing up. On day 9... please tell me it ends soon???

I'm on day 2, got PCR back this morning, strangely my LFTs were negative!

All I've really got is a full blown head cold - snotty nose, streaming eyes, and an intermittent cough - but I'm fed up of it already 😂
