Just heard theres going to be a press conference at 5 what's he going to say now.

They have a natural circuit breaker happening over half term, poor kids.

It would be nice if we could actually get boosters and vaccines for our kids as promised.

I suspect it will be pushing Boosters - how to get them and the 12-15 vaccinations. They know we are behind now and need to get ahead

Wear a mask but it’s voluntary and I won’t make is compulsory.

It will probably just be about the rollout of the boosters and 12-15vaccines.

Suspect it’s to reassure the masses that no there won’t be another lockdown. Should be announcing minor measures (masks etc) to avoid said lockdown but of course not.

It's all fiiiiiine. Get out there and spend money. He will not say anything negative yet. He wants half term spending. It will all be fine, don't worry, it's all in the plan yada, yadda.

We are probably 3-4 weeks from alas.

But I predict in a fortnight it will all be law again and vaccine passports rolled out.

Maybe vaccination of ages 5-11? Approval's pending (and expected imminently) on Pfizer for that age group in the US, Canada and Europe. Maybe us too?

They said something on radio about “work from home if you can” but only few weeks ago doing the”isn’t it great get back to the office”. Can’t see it being more than rates going up and “take care” with no clear guidance on how to do that but they have ticked the “done something” box.

Its Javid, apparently its to 'reinforce the winter messaging' Get a booster, vaccinates over 12's, wear a mask in crowded places etc.

Plan B will come in a few weeks and will be announced by Johnson, when it's too late, again.

That will need the JCVI to look at it. Given they took so long to recommend it for over 12s and only one dose, I cannot see how this could possibly happen here.

Yeah this. Boris is well aware most people aren't around at 5pm to watch but by 7 they're all at home, primed and ready.

The government is basically ignoring covid.
They will probably say something about vaccine boosters and teenagers and may encourage us to wear masks more (but not actually make it mandatory so what a waste)

Do we always get one on a Wednesday or is this an extra bonus one? Hopefully apologising for the massive mess up in testing in the southwest and explaining what they are going to do to bring numbers back down.
