@Polkadotties enough of the ‘hun’ but I think everyone can do whatever they like.

"Dave" was just a non descript politician

You mean the man who created Brexit on a gamble? I generally referred to him as cunt.

@HarrisonStickle

They will say figures are going up but everything's OK, now be good people have a jab, wear a mask and be sensible. He won't implement anything till its last minute and then he'll blame it all on the public.

This.

Then again that's what they want. They WANT to keep us open, collapse the NHS (which they have wanted for decades), fuck everyone over then blame us for not following the rules yet again. Classic Tory get out clause, set us up to fail

And this.

This. There will be total ignorance of the fact that in one major hospital in the SW, they are increasing ICU capacity and they have 50% increase in admissions in a week. That is without the full damage of the spread from the PCR fiasco. As frankly, Covid is pretty much everywhere here. Schools closing, going into bubbles, etc. It's ok though, it isn't London.

It will all be too late as ever.

@nonono1

Stop calling him Boris.

Why - that's his name! Confused

Actually it's not.

"Boris" is a brand and I agree with the PP. Call him Prime Minister. The more you do it the more outrageous it is that he is the prime minister and hopefully the more people that realise it the less likely he is to be our PM another 4 years.

@Sparklingbrook

I wouldn’t mind Christmas being cancelled. I’d like a year off from it I hate Christmas. Have a huge Christmas every other year maybe.

Then have a year off. You don't need the prime minister to tell you to spend Xmas alone to spend Xmas alone Hmm

I don’t think calling him the prime minister makes any difference to my opinion of him. It could not get any lower.

@Horst

It’s when it’s a 7pm with Boris that you have to worry the 5pm ones are dribble.

This is basically what I came here to say

My neighbour 68 no underlying conditions had her booster vaccination yesterday. It seems to vary a lot between areas. Alas I do not think we have Boris at 5pm.

Reminds me of that other "Boris" - Boris Yeltsin. I wonder if it's intentional.

I thought that you had to wait 6 months from your last jab before you could have a booster. That might have something to do with the slow rollout!!

I wouldn't mind another lockdown, the previous ones were really enjoyable. Given that they are delaying doing anything until things get dreadfully bad again, another lockdown does look more likely now.

The logical thing to do would be to mandate mask wearing again and order people to work from home where possible. But they've shown repeatedly they prefer to wait until the disaster happens rather than try to prevent it.

I am not sure these of us who have been against all mandatory measures since March 2020 are going to be too happy if they will be reintroducing them. It is bad enough that masks are compulsory on the tube and that I cannot easily travel abroad (as I am not vaccinated). However internationally most people have rather liked the warm arms of Big State wrapped around them telling them when they can leave the house, who they can see and where they go so I am sure any new measures will be very popular in the UK, sadly.

Johnson will say something like:

"Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,
lend me your Ears"

while trying to sound meaningful and putting deep emphasis in all the right places.

@HarrietsChariot I also really enjoyed the previous lockdowns, but my heart sinks for all those that mentally suffered because of them, and those who took their own lives :(

Scary how accurate yes minister and yes prime minister have always been. You watch it today and can see the same shit still happening they were taking the piss out of then!

Lock yourself down then. Just so you can relive all the good 'enjoyable' times.
