How soon after 6 months can people book boosters?

I had my first Covid jab start Feb, 2nd start April, so I’m just a bit over the 6 monthsfrom last jab now. DH was offered to book his booster 3 weeks ago, pretty much on the 6 months. But no one has contacted me and when I try to book online it says I’m not eligible and wait to be contacted. I was in the CEV group so I was done well in advance of my age group, though I am in the over 50 group anyway. GP surgery will not discuss Covid boosters in any shape or form. Do I just need to be patient? Am I being too hasty? I’m a teacher and in contact with an insane amount of Covid at the moment so justifiably anxious about waning immunity!

I tried again and still no luck too.

Might email my GP admin just to double check.

I've finally been able to book my appointment. 6 months today since I had my 2nd. I couldn't this morning but can this pm.

My second jab was 4 May.
I had my booster yesterday (Moderns) booked through NHS website

Just posting to lurk here - has anyone under 50 and not in groups 1-6 been able to book yet? I’m not at 5 months yet (let alone 6!) but just wondering if the system will let me book when I hit that point? Or are we still waiting for a wider rollout?

Beakerandbungle · 09/11/2021 17:20

Looks like whatever the glitch was it is fixed.

simone - I don’t think any wider roll out has been announced yet. It may very well be in a month or so however ( I could see the sense on boosting the 40-50s at least ( who were predominantly AZ and are nearest to 50) but who knows!

Ok thanks. Fingers crossed!
