*I meant covid free status. To gain entry any where, current requirements are a negative lateral or full vaccination status,

Removing free lateral flow tests, which the news has said will happen, means I’m disadvantaged at proving that I’ve either had a full approved vaccine, or I’m covid free through a LFD.

It all sucks doesn't it @Monkeygirl68 ? We have been totally screwed over and just have had enough of it all. We have a cruise booked for July, I just hope we will be able to go on it.

Absolutely….and to be told by the doctor that ‘it’s the most complicated study that they’ve ever done’ makes me never want to offer to help again. I’m getting myself ready for my second Pfizer this next week……
Dreamer1989 · 09/01/2022 20:12

@ItsSnowJokes how are you doing now

I'm still feeling so unwell, I have stopped vomiting but I have to keep up with the anti sickness every 8 hours (maximum allowed) or I know I will start vomiting again. My whole body is hurting. I am sweating buckets I have never been this wet from sweat! I've just had enough and keep bursting into tears.

ItsSnowJokes · 10/01/2022 15:20

So vomiting has stopped but I now have the shits. Wow these Pfizer jabs are the gifts that keeps giving!

I have to be honest and say I feel better now than I did at the same stage last time so I am hopeful it won't last the time it did before. I have been off work today and don't think I will be in tomorrow either, but maybe by midweek fingers crossed.

How are you feeling now? I’m trying to convince myself to go for the second Pfizer, as there still doesn’t seem to be signs of Novavax being approved anytime soon…
ItsSnowJokes · 12/01/2022 17:47

@Monkeygirl68 I am feeling a lot better today but just exhausted. All other stuff has gone except the exhaustion. I know that could last a couple of weeks though like last time.

I'm glad I just sucked it up, although my work may not be happy with 2 sickness periods in 10 weeks but I hope that's us done now until April for a booster if we need it.

I’m glad you feel better. I guess I’m just going to have to just go for it and expect the worst….and if i’m better than last time, then it’s a bonus!

Vargas · 12/01/2022 19:39

@ItsSnowJokes Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear you have been so ill with Pfizer 2! I really hope you are feeling better soon, you probably want to chat to a doctor about getting a booster, sounds like you should push it back as far as possible...

ItsSnowJokes · 12/01/2022 20:44

Thank you @Vargas feeling more human today! Just so tired but I knew it would happen, just had a feeling.

I may push the booster back a bit but we go on holiday in the summer and I don't want to have to cancel it.

Even though we have had 2 x Novavax, and then 2 x Pfizer, do we still need a booster also? 😳
ItsSnowJokes · 13/01/2022 06:32

@Monkeygirl68 if novavax isn't approved then we won't be classed as fully vaccinated as we will only have had 2 approved vaccines and not 3. Bonkers isn't it? Depends which countries approve it I guess but my gp has said a booster at the moment would be better in about 3 ish months to be classed as fully vaccinated.

andadietcoke · 13/01/2022 21:48

I was finally unblinded today. As suspected I had the real one in October / November 2020. I had my Pfizer booster this week. Didn't feel great overnight or the day after but nothing like Moderna.

In other news we did eventually get to America, and got the DTs vaccinated. Back in February for their second dose. Bizarre that I was one of the first people to be vaccinated and they're now one of the first U12s to be vaccinated.

Monkeygirl68 · 14/01/2022 16:13

Just been to a walk in centre for my second Pfizer, but was refused it because…..’all it is for is for proof to travel, and I’ve already had two vaccines (Novavax) plus booster’ .
Disadvantaged…..completely 😡😡😡!!

What!!!????!!!! That is outrageous. Have you got in touch with your trial site? Also quote the JCVI guidelines to them. Absolutely disgusting.
KeepingOnKeepingUp · 14/01/2022 17:19

ItsSnowJoke - my trial site were very clear I shouldn't go to a walk in centre for that reason. They told me I could go to the affiliated vaccine centre or the one in the grounds of the hospital. I went to the affiliated site as it was more convenient and had a broadly similar response, but then went to the trial site location and had absolutely no problems. So I'd definitely suggest contacting them. Do you have the letter from them setting out the updated recommendations? I wouldn't be confident that would get past a dubious vaccinator, but it could be helpful.

Thank you 😊. The doctor at my trial centre said I could wait for the affiliated site to contact me, or try at a walk in centre if that was more convenient. Seems like it’s mixed messages…..but I shouldn’t have expected anything to make any sense really 😳. My only worry is that I’m going on holiday in May, and I may need an approved vaccine for proof (to the Isle of Man)
FamilyAreEverything · 17/01/2022 19:36

Hi all. Looking for some advice. I had Novavax in Nov/Dec 2020, and got my first Pfizer in Nov 21. I was due to have my second Pfizer last week but my trial site contacted me to say that I didn’t need a second dose for travel as it’s now approved in the EU and Canada, with USA and Australia to follow shortly. I was really hoping to go to France in March but now I don’t know if I’ll be considered fully vaccinated or not? My Pfizer dose is listed as dose 1 of 2, whereas my husband who wasn’t involved in the trial has his Pfizer “booster” listed as dose 3 of 3. I’ve contacted my trial team to find out what’s going on and they’ve said they’ll get back to me, but I’m wondering whether I should push for a second Pfizer? It’s now 11 weeks since my first dose.

Sounds like it’s an issue with them uploading your details onto the NHS app. Mine is shown as having two Novavax and one Pfizer booster, so effectively fully vaccinated. However, this is on the travel part of the app and the details haven’t been replicated on the domestic part 🤷🏼‍♀️. The trial site back in October said that they would sort…..they never did, so in early December I phoned the NHS app resolution service up to correct. They said that somebody would get back to me within 29 days…….I’m still waiting……

France will start using Novavax soon. You should be OK. I'm pissed. In Scotland our mandatory Covid passports will be invalidated without a booster. I've had 2x Novavax and 2x Pfizer. Pfizer made me ill both times. No chance am I getting a 5th. The Pfizers should be counted as boosters. Appareny 173 countries recognise Novavax now. Scotland is an embarrassment.
ItsSnowJokes · 20/01/2022 19:44

Well my tinnitus is a lot worse since 2nd Pfizer and husband is still not well with extreme exhaustion and fatigue. He is on his 2nd week off work. I'm tired but not as bad as him! This trial fucking sucked.

Biggest jokes on us it seems with this trial. Australia approved Novavax yesterday. I wish that gave me hope!. I hope things improve for you @ItsSnowJokes
ItsSnowJokes · 20/01/2022 21:01

@Torvean I don't know what the MHRA are doing taking so long to approve it. It's a joke that it's taking so long. I really don't want a Pfizer booster in April.

ItsSnowJokes · 24/01/2022 19:29

So husband is on his third week off work. He went for blood tests today but the GP think it has purely been caused by the Pfizer jab. His theory is it has caused his immune system into overdrive and this is causing the complete exhaustion. He can't do anything without needing to sleep or rest.
