How long did your PCR results take?

I’ve had a faint positive Lft - after the 30 mins - twice - 3rd was definitely negative. Very worried as due to travel v early Friday. Pcr booked for 8am tomorrow.

Hoping most people will say less than 36hrs !

I hope they come soon how and anonymouse if you are anything like me you might have had a disturbed night wondering and checking. The wait is horrid.

So it was 22 hours for my result.

Yes OhYouBadBadKitten constantly waking up checking my phone, even had a dream where it was positive and the fallout from that, very realistic Woke up and had to check emails etc again to make sure it wasn't real. Fingers crossed we all get them soon.

I am going to keep away from people today still. I don't want to put others through this horrid wait.

Oh no FlatStanletta! Hope you get them soon. I'm NW England, the test site was very busy though when I went think the local colleges had made them all get PCRs

Currently 23 hours and still waiting, i'm in central Scotland, 2 negative lat flows so hopeful PCR will also be negative.

This is the 4th time we have had to do this and every other time was around the 12hr mark for results - the waiting is the worst part!

Yeah nothing for me either. 27 hours now.

27 hours and counting and I am actually going a little bit crazy.

NHS Test and Trace have emailed asking me for feedback on my test experience. I feel disinclined to help them out when I haven’t even had my sodding results yet. How much longer!?

I feel your pain FlatStanletta. I got the survey too, thought it was results and a stupid survey!

Yep me too Anonymouse- my heart lept and then I saw what it was. Then I started worrying that they think they have sent me the results when I haven’t received them.

Yeah I thought that too, as last time the survey came after the PCR result. I think they must send it slightly after 24 hours thinking most people would have them by now

Thanks. I'm supposed to be helping at a charity event I took one as precaution thinking result would be back within 24 hrs and I had 27 to spare as lateral flow looked strange not positive but not the usual negative and no symptoms, taken loads since and all fine so now feeling really rubbish cos I've let my friend down big time for probably no reason.

I'm at 27 hours now, has always been less than a day in the past

Thanks! I’m supposed to be at a wedding tomorrow and supposed to be helping with prep afternoon. Have an appointment with hairdresser at 4:30 that I’m waiting to see if I need to cancel. It’s just all so ANNOYING! I just want to know either way

Yes this is the first time I have actually needed the answer quickly and it’s taking so much longer than ever before!

Likewise, last time we were isolating anyway due SD positive test so no need whatsoever for a quick one, now I need it it's super slow.

Starting to think these results are never coming!

Either midnight or 8am, less than 24 hours.

Super fast here yesterday …DH tested at 2pm, result arrived 9.05pm same day (negative)

DS's came back negative after 25 hours
