How long did your PCR results take?

I’ve had a faint positive Lft - after the 30 mins - twice - 3rd was definitely negative. Very worried as due to travel v early Friday. Pcr booked for 8am tomorrow.

Hoping most people will say less than 36hrs !

DS had one this morning, hoping won't take too long. I'd like him checked by a doc if it's negative (think he's got tonsillitis/ear infection), so would like to know this side of the weekend ideally

Friend in same area received her results this morning, waited 24 hours

Dd1 has had to be tested because she has a sore throat and schools are requesting this in our area now. Dd2 had tonsillitis last week - in fact she still does but it’s getting better. Her ears were sore too. Think half of the school have a sore throat!

You have to wait 72 hours here- called today- after 30 mins on the phone they advised the test was negative. The test had been sent to a different lab and some were not generating email or text result- bloody shambles

Oh shit @elscar where was that? I am already obsessively checking my emails and it hasn’t been 12 hours yet! Need to know if I can go to this wedding on Saturday!

I am obsessively checking mine too! Wish they’d put me out of my misery! I have a private PCR test on Saturday for my holiday but this slight sore throat/burning sensation popped up and made me anxious. At least if this is negative then I don’t have to worry too much about the private one.

I just like to tell myself if this is covid then I’ve got off lightly as I feel completely fine minus the slight sore throat! Keep us updated those awaiting results!

Thank you! That’s a very long way from where I live so hoping it’s not the case here!!

My mum had a test delivered on bank holiday Monday, posted back around lunch time, in the lab about 6pm and result was with her by mid morning on the Tuesday so less than 24 hours for a postal test which I thought was quite impressive on a bank hol!

That is impressive! I wonder where my test has got to.

We used Chronomics as we went on a Tui all-inclusive in early August and they use them. It
cost £230 compared to about £1000 if we'd organised it ourselves.

We sent the returning UK PCRs off on the 25th August and the results came back at different times throughout Saturday 28th

32 hours and still waiting

Was hoping for an overnight result. But nothing.

Got my results at 01:17am and went for the test at 08:30am so 17 hour wait! Not bad! I tested negative so I can start looking forward to my holiday again .

Good luck to those awaiting test results. I had a sore throat, headache, burning sensation in my nose and some congestion but they seem to be going now.

Had mine at a walk in site at 10.30 am yesterday. Very very faint line on lft, my partner couldn't see it but didn't want to take the risk as looked strange to me. No results yet but really hoping for them soon so can enjoy weekend if it's negative.

Just got mine. Released back into the wilderness. Hoorah!
