How long did your PCR results take?

I’ve had a faint positive Lft - after the 30 mins - twice - 3rd was definitely negative. Very worried as due to travel v early Friday. Pcr booked for 8am tomorrow.

Hoping most people will say less than 36hrs !

My pcr test result came within 19hours

It depends on your provider. Our in-person PCR tests took less than 24 hours, but the postal ones took ages.

It depends. But I've not known anyone wait more than 24 hours recently. Was 11 hours for us in July. So likely results will be back. I've noticed there's somethings a gap between email and text. I woke up to a text at 6am but the email results had come through at 11pm the night before.

I think there's a very good chance they will be back in time op.

This is NHS test - due to lat flow confusion. No tests are needed where I’m heading just proof of vaccination - but I need to test meg to return home. I would gladly pay for one but can’t find provider where I am to return results in time.

Went to a walk through centre at 4pm and had results by just after 9 the next morning. The centre was pretty empty when I went though.

I posted it Monday afternoon, guess the pick up was about 5pm, then received notification 37 hours later

Assume you've been in person though so should be much quicker

Tested at 9.30am last Tuesday, results the following day at 11.20am ish. Negative.

We've taken 4 tests between us. 3 came back within 24 hours. The other one we had to wait 48 hours before we could query and turned out they hadn't scanned the bar code. My husband had to get two for work when someone tested positive and he booked the second for as early in the morning as he could on the day he had to get it done and that one came back the quickest.

They did warn can take up to 4 days

The email comes before the text, email within about 12-15 hours and text usually next morning (if before 12pm test)

We had four tests over two days last week. All took less than 24 hours.
Tested at lunchtime and results arrived before we woke up the next day.

I did a postal one 2 weeks ago and came back 24 hours after i posted.

19 hours for me last week from a walk in centre.

Ours came back in 8 hours recently.

I've done 2 in the last week. One at a drive-in centre - test at 3pm, results 8.30 the next morning. One postal - posted before the 16.00 collection time, results 7.30am the next day.

As a family we have done 7 in the last 10 days - all back within 24 hours. (Normally early the following morning).

2.30pm results 8am next morning.

All ours have been within 24 hrs. I have just seen a thread in Twitter where people have been waiting 2-3 days this weekend though and have been told the system is struggling as lots of festival goers are needing tests. If this is true (no idea if it is) then it's not a great sign for the return to school.

DH - tested 5pm, results 1pm next day
DC - tested 8am, results 7.30am next day
me - tested 8am, results 4.30am next day

Ordered on a Tuesday, arrived on Wednesday, popped it into the priority postbox that day. Result came through mid day-ish on Thursday.

Tested at 130 yesterday, result in at 1030 x
