How long did your PCR results take?

I’ve had a faint positive Lft - after the 30 mins - twice - 3rd was definitely negative. Very worried as due to travel v early Friday. Pcr booked for 8am tomorrow.

Hoping most people will say less than 36hrs !

May I join? I took the test at 08:30 this morning after an on-and-off sore throat and burning nose. Patiently awaiting the covid results.

I’ve done about 8 LFT tests which have been negative but I know that doesn’t mean much! I’m going on holiday on Sunday too!

According to my MIL her friends result came back in two hours! Surely that’s not possible?

I'm wondering how and if it's worth isolating from the rest of the family until I get the results. We don't have a spare bedroom, so there's nowhere for me to sleep seperately. Shared bathroom between all of us.
I'm in that half ill, restless state. Not ill enough to lie in bed, but not well enough to be leaping about the place.

DS had one this morning, hoping won't take too long. I'd like him checked by a doc if it's negative (think he's got tonsillitis/ear infection), so would like to know this side of the weekend ideally

Friend in same area received her results this morning, waited 24 hours

@CharlieB93 would it be worth paying to get a private PCR test. Like the ones people get for travel? Perhaps there will be a quicker one and at least you will know.

I was about to say this, one of those airport programmes said last week about a hotel near Heathrow that offers PCR's with a 4 hour turn around. Don't know whether they would take someone not travelling though, but worth a shot if you've got somewhere nearby?
