DH regrets having vaccine

So me and DH have both had both doses of Pfizer vaccine and I felt like I had done my research and outweighed the pros and cons and was happy with my decision.
The day after DH second dose he felt terrible he was laid in bed all day with aching, chills and what he describes as the most banging headache. I was fine 😳
The day after he was back to feeling his normal self.
Today he's come home from work and said he's had a banging headache all day just like the day after the vaccine, and in his words 'You don't know what shit they put into you do you really'
So now I'm freaking out 😂 I have health anxiety at the best of times and he is normally my reassurance and is always the one who rationalises with me about things when I'm feeling anxious. Now hearing him say that has made me question the whole Vaccine thing even though it's too late now anyway 😕😣

Many things are said about the virus and the vaccine which are untrue but the only relevant thing for me is the risk of the virus compared to the benefits of the vaccine

Virus- average age of death above life expectancy which is so deadly most don't even know they have it

Vaccine- Unclear what long term effects may be with small risks of death for all age groups that will need to be topped up every few months driven by a fairly creepy vaccine agenda from every media outlet/government going.

As the vaccine worries me more than the virus- no thanks to the first jab/ second jab and boosters for years to come

Or alternatively the risks from both the vaccine and covid are low for some age groups as are the longer term impacts so why not do something to benefit someone other than yourself

Flu vaccine is only offered to those in certain risk groups.

It's a completely different situation.

Where do you live? I'm in England and that's pretty well known.

They currently only offer flu vaccine to certain groups. If you disagree with their decision then you need to write to MP or similar.

Unless you're suggesting that those who don't cough up for a private vaccine are callous?

The flu does kill a lot of people every year yes.

The flu vaccine is not nearly so focused- every year they take the ones that think area the candidates to be the dominant one and vaccinate at risk groups against those.

In terms of media, I suppose it's the same as other things that result in a lot of deaths but are kind of the way it is. Like the toll of cars in terms of long term injury/ death.

Humans are poor at risk assessment generally. As a species.

The annual toll of flu is not reported much, certainly not headline.

To say that those who would like the vaccine for covid to have as much uptake as possible, don't care about people dying of flu. That they know, are well aware and just don't care is pretty strong surely?

And vaccination centres for flu? Yes the docs have special clinics etc. But if anyone from a low v risk group turns up they will not get a jab!

I'm not sure of your point here.

There is no general roll out of flu vaccine. It is only for certain groups.

Why are you berating people who don't go for a jab that they are not eligible for? I can't make sense of that.

Why push a point you obviously think is a winner when you're just plain wrong? On a thing that I'd think is pretty well known with the publicity every year? I have pointed out twice that flu vaccine is only offered to certain groups on NHS.

So on the one hand those who would like a good coverage are motivated by self interest eg wanting the hairdresser to stay open.

But simultaneously you think-
'I believe a vaccine should be for the health of the person taking it, not some greater good crap'

That seems to me to be extremely self centred!

It's about prevention. Preventing is better than curing.

If your argument is that those who want to see high take up are generally just being selfish
But at the same time saying I only do what works for me why should I consider anything else?

Then I would suggest that you are projecting your own attitude onto others- because you think everyone only acts out of self interest.

This is an attitude I've come across loads before!

My life has been turned upside down in the past six months. I'm a front line RN and got both Pfizer vaccines as soon as my employer offered. I haven't worked in six months-tachycardia,fever,headaches,sore throat,thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, fever daily,vasculitis,elevated lipids and cholesterol, two rashes, new onset diabetes. Every month it's something bad. I just had a cardiac CT this am cause my labs are so bad. I've never been on so much medication. Don't mean to scare you by this post but I can honestly say I still want people to get vaccinated but to be educated.

I'm really sorry you have experienced this, but I can't understand why you still want people to get vaccinated

I realise the anti vax and conspiracy lit don't watch the BBC but there was a story on just now showing the increase in younger unvaccinated in ICU. They interviewed one slowly recovering and a consultant. It wasn't made up it's factual.
It's sad that something to protect people from harm is in a privileged country is lied about by so many anti vax etc to what end point, deaths and unnecessary illness of people 😢

I had Astra Zeneca (both doses) and regret it. I've been unwell with a multitude of symptoms ever since. I had it months ago, keep expecting to recover but never do.
