Dom claims Boris said Telegraph his boss?

Many claims in latest interview

www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-57854811

How Boris dident think anyone under 80 would be hospitalised or die.
He regrets lockdowns
Ignored his scientists
Wanted to keep up meetings with the Queen as he dident consider the risks.

That the right wing press mainly the telegraph is his boss.
Did any of the refurbishment donation or free trips come from certain media?

Given the fact Boris was hospitalised and nearly died I find his attitude locking down too late 2nd and 3rd time and opening up now really odd.

Don't know if doms out for revenge
What he said doesn't really seem that inplausible.

So many new changes always leaked in the telegraph.

Dom obviously is out for revenge but that doesn’t mean it’s not true.

PaulaPetunia · 19/07/2021 22:33

Johnson is an odd man.

User135644 · 19/07/2021 22:38

I've always said he's in thrall to the likes of the Telegraph. They've been anti-lockdown so he's avoided them until he's had no choice (making them worse due to leaving it too late).

SpindleWhorl · 19/07/2021 22:41

Johnson, through his televised behaviour, came across as a massive coke-head today, tbh; and not a well man in general.

And I vehemently dislike Cummings also.

3asAbird · 19/07/2021 22:49

Some of what he said seems entirely plausible.

Boris is erratic and lots stuff he does is fir his own personal political or financial gain and yes maybe he does have a drug problem.

Hes surrounded himself with people who are weak and won't challenge him.

They seem be making up policy each day.

Well that’s been obvious for a while. And the Telegraph’s agenda throughout has been callous — keep travel open no matter what, masks don’t do anything etc. Are they funded by the travel/hospitality industry?

CeciledeVolanges · 19/07/2021 22:55

Either he nearly died, or he wasn't on a ventilator as announced at the time. He's the PM so I'm inclined to think that he wasn't on a ventilator and mainly in ITU as a precaution. He wasn't in for long and didn't appear to be very psychologically impacted by it. I have had two near-cardiac arrests in ITU and I can tell you it stays with you and nobody would have been announcing I was sitting up and in good spirits at the time. I think the "nearly died" has been projected onto him by people who want to sympathise or make allowances for one reason or another.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 19/07/2021 22:58

@PaulaPetunia

Johnson is an odd man.
Agree. I think that’s a very good word for him “odd”.
PaulaPetunia · 19/07/2021 23:00

It's what I keep coming back to.
I can't fathom him.

I agree its all a bit odd like the near death experience him being well below 80 and NHS that saved him would have changed his mindset but it did not as he would then keep making same mistakes and say pile the bodies high. Either he was less ill than we thought or something more wrong with him than covid.

I can see why Carrie threw a laptop at him.
Although I don't trust her.
The media mostly done a crap job of holding him to account.
I assume dom has some more concrete dirt on him.

When Hancock affair was exposed a lot suspected dom played a hand in this.
I am thinking maybe no 10 did as they radically changing health policy with regards to covid.

Feels like too many dodgy decisions and question marks.

AlexaShutUp · 19/07/2021 23:15

I can't fathom him either (or Carrie tbh - wtf does she see in him?!) but it isn't hard to imagine that DC is telling the truth.

Why? I don’t know any coke-heads.

longwayoff · 19/07/2021 23:20

Bozo is a tool who is getting out of control now there's no Dom to keep him on spec in No 10. He'll be leaving soon. God knows what will replace him but I assure everyone it won't be anything good. A pox on them all.

worriedatthemoment · 19/07/2021 23:22

No time for a man who claims all these things now but stood by at the time so was complicit if true , why not walk away from the job months ago

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 19/07/2021 23:23

What's he getting out of spilling his guts like this? He really is the Prince Harry of politics.

FlyingBattie · 19/07/2021 23:28

Don't trust him at all.
He has something on Boris that Boris doesn't want to get out, though. I am convinced of it.

BillyShears · 19/07/2021 23:30

I entirely believe that D.C. is out for revenge. Doesn’t mean I don’t believe him though. Some of what he’s said either rings so true (Telegraph stuff) or is so weirdly specific (Queen stuff) or seemingly can be backed with texts or emails or whatever... leading me to believe he’s basically telling the truth. Also Johnson just clearly us floundering and out of his depth: it all adds up.

BillyShears · 19/07/2021 23:31

Funny you say that- an ex-Coke head mate of mine said exactly this. Reckons he’s got long Covid and is using coke to keep going.

He probably has loads from dodgy vote leave campaign times to ousting may. Also maybe dodgy dealings when he was mayor.

We also remember Stuart Collier and Darius Guppy, us oldies.

worriedatthemoment · 20/07/2021 00:09

@3asAbird none of it makes him look good either though surely?
If i stand by and watch and say nothing when say a colleague is stealing surely I am just as bad , so after getting the sack basically he suddenly gets a conscience? Or feels its now his public duty ?
There all as bad as each other

ARudeTerriblePerson · 20/07/2021 00:14

@BillyShears I hope he gets busted.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 20/07/2021 00:19

Johnson has never cared about detail or anyone but himself. Cummings is more of a controlling type and more interested in behaviour and reaction.
Without Cummings Johnson has no clue how to pretend he gives a shit about anyone but himself and increasingly struggles to keep up the facade.

Dustyboots · 20/07/2021 00:33

Yes - he's also been floundering since Matt Hancock left. They were doing OK until then actually (at getting away with all their shit). Things have gone speedily downhill since Hancock left (which seemed to be Cumming's doing or intention).

I'm sure Cumming's has some real hot shit on Johnson that he's teasing him with. And that's why Boris looks so ill at the moment. He knows what's coming ...
